Hi...

In Lage RahoMunnabhai they mentioned this really important thing about Kundliyan and priests. Do you believe in this stuff?

Do you think people will actually die if they marry some1 whoz unlucky? Can priests actually tell the future like they say and tell us? If they could why dont we know everything thats going to happend and why do we have doctors to save us.. Cant they just tell us the date and time we are going to die..

So now its ur turn what do you think?

On one hand I think it's stupid to believe in these kundlies etc. so i say no i don't believe in such things. On other hand if someone told me that if you marry your lover than he will die 'coz u are manglik. Then I get scared as I don't want any harm to someone I love so much. So I try to find a way that help me marry someone i love, but at the same time avoid all the evil things. I guess it's all in our mind. If you belive it it's true, if you don't it's not.

I don't believe in any such thing.

My dad's older sister (my bua/fai) really believed in kundlies and all. And always took the priests' word for it... until recently..........

(27 Aug 2006)

Where in a car crash she lost her husband, son and daughter-in-law.

That morning they went to the priest to make sure the time they left home for their journey was a "Shub Moharat".

However the priest failed to inform her that withih 2-3 hrs she will lose 3 members of her family !

I don't think you can get a better example !

I personally do not believe in it. But it is also a fact that human mind is effected by several factors around you including the planets, their position etc and a lot of astrology (not all) is based on such factors.

I don't believe in palm readings, pundit's readings, janampatri etc but just as Sowmyaa, Abhi, CKY and some others described, "You've got to do certain things for near and dear ones". Moreover, just as Priya described a sad and negative event, some close friends / family experienced some freakishly positive aspects of astrological readings.

I tend to call them MERE COINCIDENCES, yet there are times I just wonder.

Nice topic to discuss this. I do belive in Kundli matching to certain expent if it is an arranged marriage. But if it is a LOVE MARRIAGE, no body goes by Kundi Matching. No body knows what will happen even in next moment. I had an arranged marriage without KUNDLI MATCHING. My husband and myself had only eight years of marriage. He died peacefully in his sleep without any Heart Attack/Stroke or Brain Hemmerage. In fact he never got sick in his life. He never went to hospital before.
My daughter was only 8 months old and people ( Specially ladies) and many Pandits were saying that my daughter's STARS were heavy on her father but my husband loved my daughter so much. When we don't know the cause of the death, why do we blame a little child for his death. My kids are everything for me. If any of my kids STARS are heavy on my health or my business, we just have to live with that. I do believe that certain days are more luckier for me than others. Either its my superstition or its mere coincident that anything good happens in my life happens on THURSDAYS. STARS and PLANETS does affect your life based on the time we were born but no Pandits or Actrologers are 100% even 75% sure about everything. They guess so many things and it works for some and it doesn't work for others.
Priya, sorry to hear about big tragedy in your family. I know the feeling. I went through all this. It might be a news for other people but only person who can feel the pain is who is going through this.

First of all, Priya and NKSudhir.... i am extremely sorry abt the incidents.

I personally feel that informing urself about the future horrible incidents will just make you more fearful. It is just our perception that we will stablize ourselves or there is something we can do to stop it, it is a part of our destiny and we learn through all of that. Had i ever got to know that my papa will get a heart attack, will undergo a bypass surgery... i would have died out of fear!!!

Its just that we have to be strong and go through difficult times ....no astrology or numerology can "Palat" that 😊 Its in our destiny and God doesn't burden people for those things they aren't capable of getting over it. 😊

well astrology is a lost and controversial science .do stars and moon impact you ...i believe they do but then your environment, upbringing and circumstances have the power to nullify that impact.
similarily kundalis were once a part of science...did you know nadi dosh is a variation of what we call rh factor issue in medical science. mangal dosh is related more to sex, impulse drive than actually the usual death warning. however i guess the original practitioners of this sciences gave a much easier reason for not matching a couple than explaining the complex issues behind thier reasonings.over centuries the reasons given became more popular and people forgot about the original and actual reasons.
morever very few people actually have the real knowledge of any astrology. those few who are actually knowledgable(from a proffesor of astrology at bhu) will tell you that astrology is an unsure science and there are too many things that impact it....they predict your future based on best guess but along the way should you make an unexpected choice then the future , hence the destiny changes.on the other hand sometimes it leads to self fullfilling prophecy .for example let us assume that kundali says you will have a spouse that will betray you...if you decide not to marry....you change future.....if you marry but look at him with suspicion at all times...you will drive him/her to betray you ...hence the selfullfiling prophecy...if you marry and treat your spouse with love then he/she may/maynot betray you....the odds are same as any other person . chances are you will go with either the first or the second option.the point is that astrology is not an absolute science and is open to interpretations.as long as you use it as a tool along with common sense ...it works great.

Yes ... but wht abt unforseen traumatic events ... e.g if someone gets to know that there will be a death {God Forbid} in his family... wht kind of options and common sense helps to prevent such an incident?

if you believe it...then you would look deeply for reasons and try to allieviate them, maybe care more for health, prepare yourself for the inevitable, make the last few days of that person memorable.
on the other hand if you don't believe then life goes on as usual.but then again as i said any learned astrologer will tell you that astrology is not an absolute science and is prone to butterfly effects. most good astrologer would never go by something like there is going to be a death in your family(well it is ambiguous enough to be true and yet false), they would rather leave a hint like take care of certain person .let me tell you an interesting story... i remember years ago my very rich cousin was dead bent on marrying a loser .....in desperation my uncle and aunt went to consult this renowned astrologer about her future. he talked to all of them individually and after consulting kundali...he told my aunt that her daughter was very wise and she had nothing to worry about...however it would do her a lot good if she sent her daughter in south direction.to my cousin he said...that you are wise but all the pressure from the guy and her parents were misleading her. it would do her good to do a certain jaap 100 times a day and go live south for a while and try to decide with her soul then and she will make the right decision. she took up a job in bangalore and she did indeed make a right decision. his advice was so ambigous that to this day i am confused if the astrologer really saw her future in her kundali or he gave an advice that was simply common sense induced.
