Too many characters?

Hi Everyone,

Long time no see 😆 But I hope you all are doing well!

I finally managed to catch the episodes soon after they aired, and I must say although the cases were relatively interesting, I'm disappointed.

I feel like there are too many characters at this point in time. Arjun, Rathod, Shree, Chotu, Aisha, Liza, and finally Sakshi. That's a lot of people that the CVs have to deal with in one episode, without even including everyone involved in the particular case for the day. It was disappointing for me not seeing Liza in today's case, and we barely even saw her yesterday either.

I genuinely believe it would have been better had they taken the time to develop the characters and their stories, because I don't think it's going to be easy to have the parallel storylines running and the cases at the same time.

Anyone else feel the same way? Too much going on and not enough justice being done to any of the characters? Today was definitely special because of the little snippet of Rathod and Aisha [which was very cute and a must watch] but this kind of stuff never happens. Plus, I really fell in love with Liza's chill character and personality, which can also be very serious. I want to see more of her!😆😉

On a side note, I like Sakshi, and I'm pretty sure this has been discussed by everyone, but yesterday she really irked me. I really appreciate her being useful and getting in touch with her contacts to help solve these cases [and rendering Arjun speechless in the process😆😆] but I really think she needs to shut up at times. Like when they found the bed yesterday and she connects it back to a movie? I found that really childish. There they were trying to solve the case and 😕 I felt it was inappropriate.

That being said, her relaxed and fun/tension-free personality is a breath of fresh air in Arjun's life, but I definitely think it needs to be toned down a bit when solving these cases.

Any thoughts?

I disagree to a certain degree. Based on the nature of the show, the basic premise is to solve cases so most of the time available will be dedicated to solving the cases and not the back stories of these characters.
I personally am enjoying the cast right now. It's no longer an all boys club. The episodes have gotten much better as well.

I do however think that the utilization of some characters can be better- I'm mostly referring to Lisa and Chhotu. Also, to a certain extent Saakshi. Saakshi is a reporter, yet I've seen her do 0 reporting LOL.

^Thanks for the response!

I definitely agree. I do want them to focus more on the cases because that's the reason I'm watching this show, that's why I began watching this show in the first place.

However, like you pointed out, there are too many characters that are present and all of them aren't actually being utilized to their full potential, especially if we see them for a grand total of 3 seconds in the episode. I think the CVs can definitely give them a little more to do/say, or they shouldn't have introduced so many characters.

I like the females, they definitely add spunk, but I think there's a time and place for everything, and that's something that needs to be worked on.

*Edit* [Just thought of something else]

It also seems though that the CVs do want to develop the love stories of at least three pairs, so I would say simply for that reason, if they do intend on following through with that, they should give us more on the respective characters. Personally, I don't think it would be exciting for me right now if, based on what we now know about Shree and Liza, we saw a love track develop between them, or the two of them declare that they love each other or whatever because I haven't actually connected with them as individuals. That might be something only I want, but heck, 😆😕

If they don't intend on delving into the personal lives of these characters, then I don't care about developing them either, focusing on the case should be the first and only priority; however, because the CVs do seem to want to do that, I think there should be a little bit more focus on the characters themselves, all of them.

I agree that it would be awkward if a Shree-Lisa love story started without any sort of build up to it.

I think the creatives are developing the characters slowly, which I understand because the main focus of the show is the cases and the social messages they are trying to send. The only qualm I have is that the "side" characters are just being utilized as extras. If you are trying to showcase a team then all team members should be involved.

Having said that, Lisa is a forensic expert, so unless there's a crime scene, her involvement will be minimal.
However, Chhotu is a commando, yet many a times the criminals always get away from him. Also, Saakshi is their media liaison, yet I've never seen her take notes or hold press conferences or anything. All she wants to talk about is silly things which can be funny but also annoying at times.

I totally agree with you!

With so many characters, CVs are not doing justice with all the characters. Even Rathore. In 45 mins of show, mostly u get to see sree, arjun and sakshi..(not that I am complaining 😆) but then actors tend to leave show if they are side-lined! I would not want that..

Completely agree with you di ,
so many characters n in only 45 mins show... 😲

n cv's have to put all the characters, their dialouges, the crime scene, the case , victims, suspects, culprits , investigation, the personal life of the team members and also the chemistry of arjun sakshi, rathod-aisha, shree-liza.. How?? 😕

one more point, liza is a forensic expert n she must be there in a crime scene, how can the cv's neglet the role of a forensic expert in a crime series

in the last epi, i think its good coz we got to see rathod and aisha scene, and most importantly chotu .
He hav done a great job out of his usual self like activating his informers n always answering ''ok sir''..

N sakshi's character need to toned down a bit..
Coz her unneccessary funny dialouge in the middle of a case , is hampering the time for others to deliver a dialouge..
Cv's should be more concern about this...

as tehy are showing that its all about team work then every member of the team is equally involved in the cases rather adding dialouges like ,'' yes sir', ho gaya sir, abhi pata karta hoon sir'...

Coz in most of the epi we have seen rathod lecturing arjun about team work...

n i personally love shree n liza ..
Would love to see their love track...
Coz i love forensic science

A large number of actors sharign d screen space...dis problem ws expected . Liza n even chotu were missing on Saturday.
I hardly saw Aisha either in first part of episode yesterday. She was just visible in d jewellery shop scene. Same goes with Shree, sometimes.

I genuinely believe it would have been better had they taken the time to develop the characters and their stories, because I don't think it's going to be easy to have the parallel storylines running and the cases at the same time.

Rathore n Aisha were way to cute...dat scene was seriously a must watch.
Initial episodes i didnt liked Liza's way of talking bec i felt it to b a bit informal. But All my definition of Informal - ness changed after Sakshi ...
as a result i started liking Liza more now-a-days ...she s cute n i m missing her speking :"Specky "😉

On a side note, I like Sakshi, and I'm pretty sure this has been discussed by everyone, but yesterday she really irked me. She needs shutting up sumtimes...i like intelligent sakshi but i "dont" like d Extra-Talkative Sakshi...her regular connection with movies or funny things or stories..really annoys me most of times.

That being said, her relaxed and fun/tension-free personality is a breath of fresh air in Arjun's life, but I definitely think it needs to be toned down a bit when solving these cases.

I agree...Sakshi can b a breath f fresh air in arjun's life..but i think d CVs have forgotten it s a crime show n not about arjun's personal life...so it wud b better if dey shut her up sometimes during cases
Any thoughts?

A very thoughtful post👍🏼

When Lisa entered the show she seemed like an unnecessary character but what's a police investigative team without a forensic expert? Now I think just how this team survived without her. Arjun, Chotu & Ayesha are the thoroughbred police personnel who actually chase down the bad guys.Since this is a techno era Shree is really indispensable. And the glue that holds all of these together to make everything actually work & produce the desired effect is Rathore. The able admisnistrator, the captain of the ship.

The tag along reporter is the only truly unnecessary character in this show. She really hurts the eyes. That's because the crutches this character is given to prop her up & make her presence noticeable.Becoz the writing on her is so weak, its jarring

One of the places in the top ten databases that a police is linked to is the property registration department. With a few clicks one can find out who owns what property in any part of the country.Shree couldn't find out Navin owns a warehouse in Virar? We needed the ace journo to call her friend, banter around a few minutes & then get the info out of her?

Chota Dubai is the "King" of betting world right in Mumbai. ETF chief has just "heard" about him & Arjun is blank on him? The master of Khabri network Chotu does not know about him?We need a cub reporter to take one look at the sketch & hit upon his identity. This elite force is made to look like a fool just so we can register her brilliance?

I dont hate her but I am a feminist & I take offence when a woman is portrayed like this. Its not that the makers don't know their job.Look at Ayesha. So why is Arjun's supposed love lead like this?

Then I have written a whole lot about her "chirpiness" & "happy nature" which she particularly chooses to display near gruesome murder sites😕

They need to redo this character. She has a nice face & suits Shaleen. But that's not enough. She needs more depth.
