'Diya Aur Baati Hum' trounced its rivals by grabbing the position of most watched Asian show in the UK last night, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The drama, which airs at 21:00 pulled in 267,700 viewers ' peaking at 297,900 viewers. 'MasterChef India' was back in second with 233,900, followed by 'Veera' with 226,300 viewers.

The others in the pecking order were 'Pyar Ka Dard Hai' (221,000), 'Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai' (194,500), 'SaraswatiChandra' (170,000), 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' (143,400) and 'Saathiya' (109,700).
