Chapter 11B: aa ab laut chalen…
They walk along in silence with their fingers hugging each other…..His eyes keep darting sidewards to get glimpses of her beautiful form……while her gaze is fixed on the sand below….
The breeze was having its effect on her wavy hair….she had loosened the top knot before leaving ETF due to a slight headache…..and now it just tumbled onto her shoulders…..He didn't miss that beautiful sight…..She now looked close to the Riya he had known years before…..

The next two days breezed past quickly…..Riya was excited and also tensed about her journey back to home…..the home which had abandoned her long back….no, she couldn't call it home now…
But she couldn't deny the fact that she wished to go there again…and also she couldn't deny Arjun's request….He wished to settle things between her and her family and make it a smooth relationship!
Riya was equally anxious about taking Arjun there because she knew they weren't going to take that so easily, especially when Suraj would be there……
Things seemed going out of her hands but she had full trust in Arjun and his words…..And yes, she also started believing in his words…why keep running and hiding when she hadn't committed any mistake??
Suraj had been the sole reason for every single problem of her life and he was freely walking around without one tinge of guilt while she was being sidelined and blamed for every damn thing…..
No, it was the limit to what she could tolerate….she was now determined to set things right!
She would face it and be done with it forever!
ETF team wasn't fully aware of what was actually happening between Arjun and Riya but they were sure that it was for good….Sameer was happy for them as well!
Sameer knew about Riya's life and her tortured self….and he had always wished Arjun and Riya unite…..he knew that this trip was sure going to be a turning point in their lives….It would definitely bring them closer and help Riya realize that love never dies out and its never too late to earn her love back!

Arjun was constantly giving her assuring words and boosting her up…she had to be confident that she was right in whatever she did or whatever she was going to do…
Two days later…..Riya's home at Kolkatta…
The whole place was decorated with flowers and friends and relatives were plenty….
Riya stood outside the gates for a moment longer when Arjun walked up to her and urged her to relax and go in confidently….
"chalo Riya….wahaan sab ko confidently face karo…..daro matth….andhar jo bhi hoga usse saath handle karlenge….come.."
Riya nodded to him while he assured that he is just behind her in every step like her shadow….and if ever she falters, he was there to support her
She walked in…..closely followed by him!

Few of the close relatives who saw her first looked at her puzzled….as if she was an alien from another planet….They stood staring at her and didn't even walk up to her to welcome or talk to her….
Riya looked around trying to spot atleast one face which looked affectionately at her….yes there were few faces which had a faint smile or a tinge of care for her but none of them came to her….
There were hushes among a few of them and Arjun could guess that it was obviously about him and his relationship with Riya….
Riya's sister, Ritu came rushing to her and hugged her "di….kaisi ho aap?"
Riya hugged her back voicing out "main teek hoom sweety…."
Her tears were already ready to pour out….so it naturally flowed out seeing Ritu…..
The sisters shared a long emotional moment….Afterall they were very close to each other, more like best friends!
Soon her parents came out to the main hall after hearing about their arrival….
Suraj, who was in the 1st floor came down too….
He was all furious seeing Riya and Arjun together….he couldn't tolerate it….he was about to fume when Riya's mom spoke out in a stern voice "Riya, andhar room mein chalo…."
It clearly indicated that her mom didn't want any drama in front of so many people….
Her dad also nodded and voiced the same,"haan andhar chalke baat karthe hai…"
Riya followed her mom and dad….
When Ritu also walked towards the room, her mom stopped her and asked her to go to her room…."Ritu, tum apni kamre mein jaao….aur thayaar ho jaao…"
Riya stood at the door step and turned back to look at Arjun…..her mom understood what that meant and asked him to come too….
Suraj kept glaring at Arjun and didn't leave the chance to stand in his way as if questioning his presence there and in the life of his wife…..He furiously muttered, "back off dude before its too late!
Arjun was controlling himself and wading off all the provocations from Suraj to the maximum limit…..a tension or a fight was the last thing Arjun wanted at that moment! He just glared back silently at Suraj!
Riya's dad intervened sensing the tension between them and asked them both to come in……Suraj walked in first, Arjun shook his head in anger and went in too….
Once in, Suraj started pouring out all his venom before anyone else spoke….
"dekhaa uncle, aunty…..Riya kitni besharm hai….yahaan bhi apni aashiq ko lekhe aagayi…ek baar bhi hum sab ke baare mein nahi socha issne….…ab aapko yakeen hogaya na? I always knew that there was something going on between them…."
As Suraj went on, Riya's mom looked at Riya in an accusing manner which only meant "tum yahaan kyu aayi Riya?? Kya yeh sab sunna aur humein sunaana chahthi thi??"
Riya pleaded apology with her eyes and looked for a consoling expression from her dad but he looked away helplessly…..
Arjun wanted Riya to speak up…he didn't want to poke into that and make things worse for her…otherwise, he would have bashed Suraj for such insulting words!
Suraj eventually spoke up the maximum of what he could "maine kaha tha na? woh baccha bhi mera nahi tha…[pointing at Arjun]…..iss ka tha….thats why it went away even before stepping into this world!
That was the limit…..Arjun shouted "SURAJ…."
Arjun stepped forward to face Suraj……but again Arjun was taken aback by the reactions of others in the room…..Riya and her parents weren't shaken one bit hearing such baseless and shameful accusations….suddenly the realization struck him "may be they know all this before….but Riya had never once told this to him"
Before anybody else or Arjun himself could speak further, the door opened up and an old couple stepped in….Arjun recognized them as Suraj's parents….Mr and Mrs Vanraj!
Riya and her parents stood dumbed for a while…..
Mrs Vanraj spoke up "toh usse chod dho Suraj….divorce deh dho aur usse apne zindagi se humesha keliye baahar nikhaalo…."
Mr Vanraj cleared his voice and added "haan, aisi bahu humein nahi chahiye aur tumhe bhi aisi biwi ki zaroorat nahi….Throw her out of this marriage and settle it once and for all!"
Suraj didn't expect them at that moment…and whatever they spoke up was also totally unexpected…..he only wanted to torture and hurl Riya with insults…..But his parents made him a little unsettled…he was totally confused now…..
His mom spoke again…."haan bolo Suraj…..aur khatam karo iss besharm rishte ko…."
When his parents were urging him and also his dad spoke in a warning tone, he had no option but nod "Yes" to whatever they said….
Suraj nodded and left the room angrily glaring at Riya and Arjun…..
Suraj's mom walked to Riya and held her hand "tumhe usse bachaane ka humaare paas aur koyi raasta nahi tha….jo bhi kahaa aur kiya bas tumaare liye hi tha beta….fikhar matth karo…Suraj se tumhe chutkaara mil jaayega….[placing her hand on Riya's head as if blessing her]…khush rehna!"
His mom turned away and walked out without looking back once to be followed by his dad too….

A long stormy silence prevailed…..
Riya's mom spoke up to break the silence "Riya, tumhe yahaan nahi aana chahiye tha…"
Riya tried to respond "lekin maa…."
Arjun took over for Riya "Aunty, uss ki galathi nahi thi….maine hi…."
Her mom snapped him "mujhe patha hai ke Riya ne aaj tak koyi galathi nahi ki hai…..par jo bhi hua teek nahi hua…."
Arjun could understand how much a girl's parents would be hurt hearing such insulting words from their son-in-law…So he tried to explain "mujhe nahi patha tha ke mere wajeh se itna bada ilzaam…"
Her mom cut him short again "jo hogaya usse bathal nahi sakthe…..par kya tum iss galathi ko sudhaarna chahoge??"
Arjun was instant in his reply "yeah of course….i can do anything it takes to set things right in Riya's life"
Her mom instantly shot back "toh usse shaadi karlo…"
Riya was shocked beyond words and looked at her mom…..her mom wasn't looking at her but her face appeared stern and her voice had that determination too….
