KHUSHI

I woke up early. Well that statement is a complete lie because I exactly couldn't sleep at all . All the excitement was killing me. I had a quick shower. Today I had no trouble deciding my outfit for all I was wearing the jersey along with my black jeans which I had labelled lucky since whenever I had those pair on I could go through all difficulties easily. This was Arnav's jersey which Ria had got for me last year. This had his autograph. She got it at the auction where the world cup final items were being auctioned for charity.

I applied slight make up for I always preferred the natural look. I tied my hair in a high pony. The only thing I actually put on was sunscreen because the day was going to be extremely hot according to the weather report.

Ria wasn't even awake by now and here I was ready to go.

"Hey Ria wake up" I said as I saw her twisting in the bed trying to block the sunrays with her blanket.

"Oh come on Kush. Let me sleep for a while more"

"NO way Ria, you need to get up now. Look at me"

"You know that I'm not a morning person then why do you do this to me always?" she said sitting up on the bed.

"Come on Ria you are blaming me as if I had made the whole plan. You are the one behind this so now don't blame me"

"Yeah right. I'm the one to be blamed. Rohan had actually asked me to plan something else, you know something I should have listened to him in the first place"

"What ? He said that? I'll handle him later for that. Now you please get ready. We need to reach the stadium soon."

Finally I was successful to get her out of the bed and push her inside the bathroom.

Ria was wearing a red shirt paired with some faded jeans. She was chubbier than me. I was more on the slender side. She had grey eyes while I had them chocolate brown the same as ASR's. We were both on the fair side and about the same height.

After half an hour we were in the living room of Rohan Khurana's guest house. I had by now confronted Rohan for trying to change Ria's plans for coming to the match. Ria and Karan had been sensitive enough to not come in between us and instead had gone all lovey dovey while we fought. Rohan had finally apologized to me.

After breakfast we had reached the International stadium to watch the match. This would be the first match I'm watching live and I was going all crazy.

We got seated. There was a giant screen next to me and all I would care about was my ASR. The match started and I couldn't take my eyes off the Indian opener. I was praying hard today. I had read in his interview that he wanted to prove himself in this match in his homeground and now he was very near to it that he was on 99.

ARNAV

I was on the verge of yet another century. I closed my eyes and just prayed to god. I wanted to make it big. I just prayed so that I could have his support. The next thing I did was to think about my mom. The woman I loved and adored. 'This one is for you Mom' I said in my mind.

I opened my eyes to the big screen in between the audience. The board which said ARNAV 99*. My eyes flickered to the girl who sat next to that. She was praying hard. May be for me. She had an angelic face. Her eyes were closed. The camera was focusing on her maybe because of the tension in her face. She opened her eyes to check whether it was over. Didn't she know it was drinks?

"Nervous much dude?" Rishabh asked me coming next to me.

"In fact not. Look at that girl. Her expressions are as if she is the one in such a situation and not me" I said.

" hey is it really you? You are talking about a girl?" he had an unbelievable expression on. I cant blame him though. I was never concerned about girls even though I knew there were lots who wanted to be with me. But this particular girl caught my attention.

By now the girl who was unknown to me, the one with long jet black hair was standing with her back to me maybe beating up the guy behind her. Well I'm not sure on that, but another thing I'm sure of is that she was wearing my jersey, the number 27, the same one which I had worn for the world cup finals. I remember I had autographed it for a gang of school kids who had got it for their friend who was a crazy fan of mine. Anyway I'm not 100 percent sure on that.

"Dude are you really here?" It was Rishabh again.

"Yup"
"Drinks is over. Now come on do it"

" Sure bro"

How dare he? Rohan has no right to say anything about Vihaan. Yeah I totally agree that Vihaan seemed spaced out for a while but he shouldn't say that. Thats why I hit him. Well tell me who wont be nervous?

'Kush its time for you to stop thinking about that. Watch the match' I said to myself.

"And then Arnav Singh Raizada goes for the big hit. Its a SIX and he reaches his 5^th consecutive century. The first in his home ground. I tell you this young man is on a roll" I heard the commentator speak.

OMG i cant believe it. My ASR had hit yet another century and I am here watching him live. I've decided, I would be wearing this jersey whenever he is playing next.

The camera was zoomed on his face. There was an unusual happiness in his face. As if he had achieved something more than a century. This man was a mystery. The mystery I needed to unlock.
