This update had many disappointments for me and I will start off with Arnav as no one disappointed me as he did. He loves Khushi and does not have the guts to tell her that and wants her to be with him for all the wrong reasons. Yes, wanting to marry Khushi for his daughter is a WRONG reason. The way he approached the matter was wrong and his proposal was fit to be thrown out. Arnav needs to realize, his daughter may ask for the moon next and he cannot get it for her. He needs to better his parenting skills and next he needs to be sensitive to other's needs. A gift which insults a person is no gift at all; he gave her his mother's Payal for what? Dude you are a sure shot candidate for the "Worst Person in the World" award. Arnav please realize a simple fact of family life, a woman becomes a wife first then a mother. Please use that mind of yours and get your act together.
Khushi is a fool and no one can help her but herself. She has put her heart out there and is now rethinking her decision. If I am not wrong from the beginning she wanted to connect with Arnav on a physical level as she was aware as he was emotionally unavailable. The compatibility she sought was a physical one alone. Had she spoken to him about her desires in life, she would not have been this disappointed. The on now and off now thing she has going will not help her at all. She should soul search and find answers, does she want to marry Arnav because she wants feels the need to be with him complying with society norms or does she want to marry Arnav because she loves him. He is not alone here, comes with a child and she has accepted the child and why the hesitation to take the step because he does not believe in marriage. He is more than a husband to you and has done many things despite not believing in marriage so, talk to him and sort things out.
Payal and Akash, guys please get on a Ferrari for your relationship or the lack of it to proceed, bullock carts are used in remote villages. But the DDLJ scene was so cute and hope Payal gives Akash a chance to get over his Bollywood hangover and be himself and woo her.
I am feeling bad for Garima; she feels the disappointment of a child failing her, right or wrong can always be argued. She sent Khushi to Delhi, placing all her trust and confidence in her, to see her child doing exactly what she had expected her not to do can be disappointing for any parent. Khushi has given fodder to gossip and the simple people the Guptas are it will hurt them. I am not judging Garima here, I sympathize with her, there is nothing more hurtful, trust broken by someone you placed all your trust in.
I want to smack Arnav's head with a broom right about now. He has let me down. He can save that pathetic ASR-ness for his business, it may look sexy and be useful in that sphere; but to emotionally blackmail Khushi into marrying him, and that too in order to fulfill his child's whim is wrong on so many levels. Not only as a lover, thats pretty bad even as a parent. He is being a child even more than Arya. Doesn't have the guts to admit that he wants Khushi in his life, doesn't have what it takes to explain things to his child - I am so bloody disappointed.
Khushi is no less, though she is the wronged one here. What does she want? I admired her for her ability to love unconditionally, now what happened to that? I understand the heartbreak, one cannot help but hope when the foolish heart is in love - what I don't understand are her expectations from Arnav. She knows what he wants and she dived in, very consciously, knowing all about that. What exactly does she want from Arnav now?
Kya judging Garima? She only slapped Khushi. If it were me and if Khushi were my daughter, I would beat the living daylights out of her. I treat her like my own kin, trust her and send her to a new city - she first goes and lives with some other family, insists on living there despite the catcalls we have to bear, refuses a marriage proposal without reason and then runs into the arms of her boss (with a child!) in front of everyone, and doesn't even have the courtesy to be polite or apologetic about it. W*F? From a mother's perspective, Garima is right to feel wronged and hurt and betrayed - I would have been surprised had she not slapped Khushi.
I don't know what you have planned Saiyyu, but the shit has now hit the fan. Arnav needs to redeem himself in Khushi's eyes (and mine!), Khushi needs to figure somethings out (beginning with apologizing to her family) and everybody just needs a reality check. I trust you to bring in some Saiyyu-ness and make everything better, can't wait for the next update :)
PS - Why did you think this update wasn't up to the mark? Your writing was so good, I am positively fuming at this point as if all this happened for real in front of my eyes. Aaj tera birthday na hota toh main tujhe do mukke deti, to drive some sense into you :P
