There r many shows coming on TV these days which talks about social issues but ended up with sass bahu drama ...but hats off to chanchan show which started with love story concept with saas bahu - tadka but now took turn by introducing SOCIAL ISSUE 👏

In the beginning of the show this move was not expected but need to appreciate creatives for that . 👍🏼 Completely liked that newspaper article scene ...agree with word to word . Its a reality of indian society where parents earn whole of their life n save each n every money without fulfilling their own wishes just to spend on Daughter's wedding or better giving the money as dowry ...
n there r still so many educated shameless ppl live in the society who think dowry as gifts parents giving to their own daughters ...they dont even hesitated in asking money ..as they think they have spent so much money on their boy's education ..huh but they forget they r selling their own son by doing so ...

n the most imp part what the point of that money which ur daughter cannot spend on her own ..with her own wishes ...as it takes over by her in-laws or husband 😡 liked the line beti ki aisi khushi ka kya fayda jo maa-baap ko poori zindagi ke liye dukhi kar de👏 ( smthn like that )

so overall good to see that chanchan n her friend r not scared with society or sethani ..irrespective of the fact that they had lost house or job of her father ...

Bravo girl ...cant wait to see how this Modern bahu will teach a lesson to her would be mother-in-law ...😉
ya ya then it will turn into saas bahu saga but as long as creatives r highlighting some imp issues like dowry , parda pratha etc who cares 😉
hope the show will get good numbers too 😊 n good job by sanaya n supriya pathak 👏

Lovely post but I don't think CC was ever catogerised as a love story or a strict saas-bahu show. I think it's more of a family drama which is intended to show differences in thinking and ideologies. So I'm hoping that the creatives will handle more social issues within a similar framework to the way they are handling the dowry issue. You're right the dialogues are extremely impactful and I loved the one you highlighted about how a girl can be happy at the expense of her parents misery. I hope it doesn't turn into a regular saas-bahu show because of TRP demands but watching some of the other shows on Sony they don't seem to be big on the whole TRP route and also this PH's last show in essence could be classed as a saas-bahu show but was really a family drama and the CV's managed to avoid the saas-bahu scenario for the most part.

Very well written Post 👏 .Totally agree wid you... CC is not just a Routine family Drama... Something is really different here.

Its so good that, they showed Dowry issue in very impactful way. They showed both side POV regarding this 'Dowry system' .This system is a big curse for society... If,some peoples wants to kill unborn girl baby , 'Dowry System' is one of the main reason of behind this cruel act.

hats off to writer team...they done a excellent job to handling this issue. Dialogues Part was so Good. 👏 👏Off Course Sanaya n Supriya jii is Outstanding in their scenes...n true speaking due to them n story presentation...I didn't miss any Love-story here.

Fab post!! me too specially was impressed with the lines of 'how does a daughter stay happy when in the name of fulfilling duties and responsibilities her parents would end up paying the debts from it for the rest of their lives?'

Seriously fabulous storytelling!!

and lovely post! Enjoyed reading it :-)
