Intense! Super intense episode!!

The highlight was of course, BOBBY SINGER!!!

Can't tell you what I felt seeing him on the screen. And then realized that I've missed him more than I thought. And when he said, "Balls," I was like, there!! There he is. Bobby! Sooo glad to see him back.

"I ain't exactly the retiring type, so you idjits, figure out a way to spring me!" I instantly thought to myself, "PLEASE DO!"

I love that the writers made several foreshadowing points that Bobby might be back again! "I already said goodbye to you once, Sam, didn't seem to take. No reason to think I won't see you again... somewhere down the road. But if they give me a rocking chair up there, I'm raising hell."

I'd say I was expecting a little more drama but the episode was, nevertheless, really good! Sam has completed another trial. And there were a few twists.

Benny's back in purgatory... I liked him the first time around, but I like him even more now. He's saved both the Winchesters now and could there be a better ally. I'm so glad that he didn't slip upstairs (meaning here on Earth 😳). Dean hasn't burn his bones so there's a chance that he might be back. I'm glad the writers have left that door open. Even Sam now understands Dean's sympathy towards Benny.

Naomi is trying very hard to be on the boys' side but I still think that she's a cunning, manipulative one. She's playing her game again, this time with Dean instead of Cas. I just hope that he doesn't fall in her trap. But we know our boys, they are smart.

Kevin,Kevin, oh Kevin! I understand that he's under a lot of pressure, and this all is new for him so even harder to take but come on, dude!! He basically fell in Crowley's trap. Crowley's demons probably tracked him when he went to hide the tablet, which was a very stupid move! I mean, seriously! If Crowley were to find Kevin, he would torture him to no end till he does give away the location of the tablet. So why go stash it away??? Either way, if Crowley finds Kevin, he is going to get his hands on the tablet. And now he has found him... seriously!!! And for now, the boys think Kevin's scared and has made a run for it, they've no idea that Crowley's got him. Bad, bad situation! They're only one trial away from closing hell and now this..!

But I liked what Dean said to Kevin, "This whole thing sucks, I know. But you suck it up. And you push through. Because that's what we do. When you get on board with that, the ride's a lot smoother."

"My little brother is stuck down there." Dean's expression here broke my heart over and over again. That painful expression... This is what i love about Supernatural... the bond of these brothers, how they're willing to do anything for each other. Jensen Ackles was as always brilliant here. I confess that I had tears in my eyes.😳

Overall a very intense episode but had its light moments:

"That's my pie!" I couldn't stop laughing seeing Dean's expression here...like a little kid losing his favorite car 😆 Dean and his love of pies!

"Winchester, jumbo size." Gotta love Crowley😆 though I'm beginning to dislike him more than usual. The guy's been helpful to the boys in the past but in this all in all war, I have to go with my boys.

"You knew somehow, right?"
"Took a chance. 50/50." Sam's face - PRICELESS! 🤣

And of course, the moment of the day was the Winchester hug! Aw...loved seeing that!!

So a good episode, overall. Looking forward to the next one! Can't believe that we're only 3 episodes away from the season finale. Don't want it to end!

Just finished watching and I am a weeping mess at the moment. :'( Every bit of episode was full of substance and every scene intense. My heart cried for Dean, for Sam, for Bobby and Benny. I always liked Benny but its today I realized his character's dimensions. Weird, isn't it? A monster giving up himself for his human friend. I love how Supernatural explore these areas without having make it look absurd. They show how friendship and humanity can exists in seemingly impossible places. Tell me he doesn't die down there, if that's even possible. To sum it up, I loved every tiny-wee bit of the episode. <3 Crowley needs to get lost though. 😳 I hope Dean doesn't fall in Naomi's trap, if she's lading one. And Bobby Singer, you are so welcomed. They have been dropping hints and I hope he gets back soon enough. 😳 Also, I can't get over the fact that Supernatural has a perfect cast, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, Jim Beaver and Ty Olsson, you guys were perfect.

I suggest you guys to read this. Its a good one and here are some questions taken from the above post worth pondering over.

While every show requires suspension of disbelief and a varying amount of contrivance to move certain plotlines forward, it seems unfathomable that all Sam had to do to get into and escape fromHell -- supposedly the most horrifying and dangerous place in existence -- was stab a few demons and creep around a few dark corridors. Why was he so chill about returning to the place where Lucifer made him his chewtoy with no signs of PTSD or even a minor flashback? How did he find Bobby so easily? Why was Bobby's door unlocked? Why, when Dean spent four months (equivalent to 40 years) in Hell and began torturing people under Alistair, was Bobby so mentally unscathed after the better part of a year (or 100, in Hell time)? If Crowley had personally prevented the older hunter from reaching heaven because of the role he played in thwarting Crowley's plans, wouldn't the King of Hell have devised a slightly more devastating method of torture than sending in black-eyed Winchesters to taunt him? And how was Crowley, the King of Hell, not only unaware of the fact that there was a living mortal in Hell until he tortured the information out of Ajay, but unable to track Sam down while the hunter was wandering blindly around his domain? We've seen the kind of power the snarky demon has outside of his jurisdiction on Earth -- shouldn't he be slightly more on top of things in his own kingdom?

It seems disrespectful of both Beaver's schedule and the intense goodwill the fanbase has towards the character to "waste" an appearance on such a flimsy conceit. Countless angels supposedly died to rescue Dean from the pit, but apparently if Sam had done enough research into rogue Reapers, he could've popped through the back door and retrieved him in less than a day.

Jensen Ackles should be arrested to make you cry so frigging much. Hats off to Jensen and Ty for pulling off dean and benny's last scene. Amazing episode. Heart wrenching as always but amazing. I still dont know how creatives have it in them to torture us even after 8 years. Man it was so good to see bobby! Especially when he says "Balls" you realise how much you missed the guy. All Sam and bobby scenes were classic. Nobody can scold boys like bobby. He makes them shut up. Well lets just hope we makers find a way to bring him back. Next stop Kevin... The big question did crowley really took him or was kevin just hallucinating and took off after succumbing to the load? The first scene where kevin gets chopped off man that runs shivers down you. And the scene where Kevin takes dean's pie hehehehehehehe man dean's expression were priceless. Now coming to another sketchy person Naomi. Atleast she did something right rescuing bobby's soul but still didnt like where she is going with manipulating Dean or Cass. Now coming to the most touchy topic. DEAN - BENNY. Its bad that benny had to die but it was worse that Dean had to kill his best friend. The way jensen portrayed the emotions that coursed through Dean while he is confronting benny were flawless. Totally flawless. That Bro hug at the end was amazing! Never had that type of hug since AHBL2. It shatters you completely when sam comes back and even though deep down dean knew benny wont come back he still hopes.

All in all amazing epi. It makes you cry buckets though. Hats off to Jensen, Ty, Jared and Jim Beaver for pulling off such awesome scenes.

@mahi @husna @simi @jo...

what if???...

what if Naomi and Crowley have joined hands??
what if...Ben was MADE to sacrifice himself??

i mean Crowley-Naomi Duo might have hatched a plan...and created such an environment..such a situation that Benny HAD to sacrifice ..
i mean Naomi/Crowley knew the ALLIES and enemies of the brothers... in fact Naomi used Their Biggest ally Cas...till he freed himself of the leash and..so Now that they are unable to find Cas...they are going for NEXT biggest supporter of Brothers...(even though Sam was wary of Benny still Dean did had a bond with him ...in fact both made out of purgatory in one piece together..)...BENNY as Bobby is already dead...so Crowley might have come to know about the second task...somehow...or HE could have PLANTED this "fake trial" in Kevin's mind...and made the route very clear for the younger Winchester as he knew Sam would venture to do it...leading to Benny sacrificing..???
can it be that Naomi/Crowley are playing...
and Winchesters are being played???
the cunning Crowley is...this could be possible right??

the season is racing towards the Finale...so the story is picking pace and heating up...??
Now the brothers are again with no help...
or

could it be that...as the case was from Season 2- until Lucifer's release...whatever happened...it was supposed to be "fate" hence the archangels to fulfill their destiny...they allowed thing to happen in the way it did..[.you know Michael letting dean go to heaven to fulfill the first rule...of an righteous soul shedding the blood (thanks to yet another pawn Alistair🤢)...Lucifer playing the mind game and preparing Sam to be his host with DB...] likewise bobby's trade of his soul with Crowley in S5 and the deal taken off...Sam losing his soul...in S5 ...The whole Alpha Hunt in S6...Sam getting back his soul in S6 ...Crowley turning an ally then a foe again in S6..Cas betraying the brothers in S6...then dick's killing in S7...Dean getting into purgatory...Benny's release...Angel tablet's appearance (when it was supposed to be all about Demon Tablet)...the trials to close the gate of hell..Benny's death...in s8 all this leading to fulfilling any destiny??
this makes me wonder is really Team Free Will Has any Free will?? what if dean saying No to Micheal and "stopping" the apocalypse itself was a destiny as the archangels said once??

and what if the whole thules thingy was to distract the brothers???

now with Men of letters and sentinels of Lucifer getting involved...the game has changed entirely...
and what about Lucifer's Crypt??? being the archangel (fallen yeah Still an archangel) creator of Demons..y did he need Crypts??

still many such questions are whizzing inside my head...
sorry for the fertile imagination here...
just few thing which is bugging me 😆

@Husna - Couldn't agree more. I never thought I'd feel so bad for the monsters. First Meg and now Benny. Loved the way you phrased this," They show how friendship and humanity can exists in seemingly impossible places." Beautifully said and so true. You know I didn't dislike Crowley to begin with, actually kinda liked him but he's really beginning to annoy me. Now I do hope that the boys succeed in closing the gates of hell forever.

And I do agree with most of the points raised by Laura. This is what I meant by I was expecting more drama. Didn't think rescuing Bobby would be this easy. And the point she raised about Sam not looking for Dean. I still haven't gotten over that, though I do love Sam very much, I just think that there should've been a better reason if he were not to look for Dean, otherwise he should have.

@-AngelSimi- - I tend to think that Crowley did really find him. Especially after he went out to hide the tablet... The season is reaching towards its finale so they do need something like that. But it is possible that he just took off and now Crowley will find him. I guess we'll find out next time. And totally agree with everything you said. Dean-Benny scene was heart wrenching. I do hope Benny will come back next season.

@Jyo - LOVE that sig!

@L - Interesting questions! And with Supernatural, anything is possible but somehow I think the trial 2 was real and not something planted into Kevin's mind by Crowley. In fact, before the end of the episode, Crowley had no idea where Kevin was anyway, while Kevin was having his breakdown. Naomi and Crowley are might join hands in future. At one point, Naomi will realize that the brothers are far too intelligent to truly fall for her manipulation. So she might realize that it's best that neither the doors of hell nor heaven are closed and Crowley will be thrilled to help her with that. Anyway, let's see what happens. But I do think that Benny died for a true cause. For friendship, of course. But the trial #2 was very much real.

@Sayanti - Yeah!! Bobby's return was truly the highlight of the episode. Winchester hug was just so emotional. We haven't got a hug like that in so long!

That is one helluva review.

I have said it many a times and I'm gonna say it again, Bobby Singer is legend. I felt like my insides would figuratively burst with the joy of seeing him. When he said things like idjit and balls, I was the happiest person on the planet for a while. Bobby's such a bad arse. I really liked how he's hoping to get back in the realm and become a hunter again. If they could just bring him back for real, mate. He's one of their finest characters, I daresay and I always thought he was here to stay. Nonetheless, any episode with Bobby in it is awesome, and so was it.

Dean's 'suck it up' advise to Kevin had me feelings respect toward him, quite a lot. Dean is epic, I dunno anybody else in the whole wide world of fiction who delivers words of wisdom using words like 'sucks' and 'suck it up'. But that's what they always do, indeed. Dean with Benny. Ah, Benny! I never liked him much, but I respect him now. And I beg to differ, mate. It's not sympathy Dean has for Benny, it's affection. I am quite glad that Sam understands that now. Speaking of, I cannot seem to understand how somehow Sam's the one on whose shoulders the responsibility to save the world lies. I wish they gave Sam some more space in the episodes, though. I miss him, and it's weird that I miss him when he's not left.

Naomi is twisted but ah, you said it all for me. And I had tears in my eyes too during the episode, at places. But mostly I was grinning like an idiot at its sheer awesomeness.

'Winchester Jumbo Size' took my breath away. For, my system was only laughing for minutes after Crowley said that. That demon, I tell you. I really like him, even though it's not very nice to like demons. But Crowley has the style, the sense of humor and hence, the charm! 😆

I am not gonna say more now, I could have. But then this would be more like my review than my remark on yours. 🤔 The remark however is that I await your review after every episode. Good stuff, mate! (:

Epiphany.
