"Bahut naseeb waalon ko aisa pyaar milta hai,promise karo tum usey kabhie hurt nahin karoge," Zoya's advise to Ayaan is so correct and so timely. Thanks to Zoya's words of wisdom, Ayaan will hopefully be enlightened and cherish the unconditional love that Humeira has for him.
What about Asad? There is no doubt he is absolutely in love with his Miss Misfit. He has changed a lot thanks to Zoya. She has been the main catalyst in his growth as an individual and human being. He can't see her pain, he wants to hold her when she is distraught, he wants to see her smile when she is upset, he wants to be there whenever she needs him, and now he doesn't want to lose her. Unlike Ayaan, he doesn't have a 'phone a friend' option. He has to rely on his instincts and listen to his heart. Will he?
Zoya was right when she said,"agar aaj aap nahin hote, tho main apne aapko kabhie kaboo mein nahin rakh paati." Zoya needs him more than ever. He just realized that Zoya is all alone in this world. If there was a place he could hide, he would have gladly buried his head under the weight of his guilt. Asad has berated Zoya on several occasions about her upbringing and her negligent parents but today he realized how wrong he has been all along. Asad, the man in love, cannot leave Zoya at this point in her life. If there is any way he can make up for the miseries of her life, is by being her unconditional support and not letting go of her.
His restlessness at night and at the breakfast table was really palpable today. I am surprised Dilshaad and Najma haven't noticed the change in him.
Will he let her go? The precap says otherwise, but is it real or just his imagination? I would go with the latter as I can't imagine him saying those words to her yet. Yes, he needs to, but will he?
He withdrew his hand when she expressed her desire to go back. Later, he regretted as he should have stopped her at that moment. At night, he tried to talk to her again, but then walked back without knocking at her door. Now the tickets are there, will he muster the courage to stop her? Wish he had a friend like Ayaan has, someone who could advise him like Zoya did. Unfortunately, his only friend, Tanveer is just too eager for Zoya to leave. Hope he doesn't ask Tanveer for advice.
Zoya was once again exemplary in her scenes with Asad. The graveyard scene will always be etched in our memories. It's an irony that her Abbu was in the background while she paid homage to his supposed grave and offered flowers and a 'chaadar' in his memory. Very symbolic of what her relationship might be with him in future. She might be better off now than she will be in the future when he makes a real appearance in her life.
Zoya, always looking at the glass half full, was relieved that her Abbu actually didn't abandon her, but was unable to reach out for her. Did you notice how Asad clenched his fists then? He has lived with the reality of a dad who has abandoned him, and here Zoya was relieved that her father didn't abandon her. Two contrasting stories, but equally tragic. Can't imagine how she would feel when she finds the truth.
Prediction:
- Ayaan listened to the music box. So, he will play the tune on the guitar and Ghafoor will hear it. So, Ayaan will indirectly help Zoya reach her father. Just like the photo, Ayaan was the first one to help her out.
- Will Zoya lose trust in Asad when she finds out the truth? She trusts him more than anyone in this world. Will tables turn?
- Asad will make her stop with new work permit but Tanveer will start her shenanigans again. After all, Razia admitted that Tanveer is also a 'big kameeni'just like her!
Just hope, Asad has the courage to hold onto his love just like Zoya held onto him at the graveyard. She doesn't realize it, but Asad does, so the ball is in his court now.
