Why do birds, sitting on electric wires, not get shocked !!

If we would touch electric wires, we would get a shock, even if we are not touching ground (so that no connection is complete form wire to ground through us). I always see that birds sit on electric wires. Why don't they get shocked?

Will you please answer😆😆

In order for a human or a bird to get an electric shock, you have to be touching two electrical cables...so when you see a bird on wires ...if you look they sit on one wire and therefore they don't get electric shock...

But looking at the picture of Buaji I feel you get shock without electric wires when you see her smiling 😆

i knew the answer but I forgot, it has something to do with a theory though, I mean there;s an explanation behind it but well, I was never interested in Science, so the moment I had to make a choice for my stream for O and A level and I took Eco side, I never ever re-opened any Science book 😆
