hey guys, this is my first ff, so if its absolute rubbish... plz let me know 😃
im writing the speech in english because im not gud at writing hindi in english... so here's the intro and ch.1:
INTRO
The Walias: It's the same as in KS and everyone has the same attitude (but masi permanently lives in Walia Mansion). Jai's a bit different: he's quite strict, determined and a workaholic, but inside he's a softie and he loves his family – he's so different in the office and at home that it's like he has a split personality. He believes that when you do something, you have to be focused on it, to achieve the best. He's a bit conceited, but then who isn't… to an extent?!
The Dixits: Bani's mother died, due to an illness and her father had drowned his sorrows in alcohol to cover his pain. Bani's background and personality is like that in the serial, but she's got a bad temper and knows how to fight for her rights. Btw, she dresses differently as well – so not always salwars and saris, she wears everything, but hates skirts – she feels uncomfortable in them.
Jai and Bani are good friends and have known each other since they were in college, in Mumbai. After she finished college, she had to move to Mt. Abu, to look after her father, who had broken down after her mother (she had died earlier that year). Five years later, her father died, due to his drinking problem, so she moved back to Mumbai. In these five years, they haven't been in much contact, but she decides to visit his house when she reaches Mumbai, as she knows where he lives – she's read about him in the news so much.
CHAPTER ONE
A girl, dressed in a pinky-purple kurta and jeans and casual trainers, steps off a train onto a busy platform. She walks out into the cool night air, pulling her suitcase behind her and calls for a taxi. She gets in and tells the driver to go to Walia Mansion. It starts to rain heavily, while she's going to Walia Mansion and she thinks "hmm… out of season rain… I love it… something's bound to happen somewhere…"
Soon, they arrive and she gets out, pays and looks up at the house. She thinks "wow Jai! In five years, you've achieved so much! This house is amazing!!" and walks towards the door. Already she's drenched; her hair's soaked and clinging to her head, but she loves it. Confidently, she walks up to the door and rings the bell. She waits for what seems like ages, getting wetter, if that's even possible, considering she was already soaked.
Finally, someone opens the door and she sees Tony and immediately recognises him as a butler, by his uniform and gloves, etc.
Tony: Yes? May I help you? Who do you want to see?
Bani: Is.. is Mr. Jai Walia here?
Tony: Yes, but he is a little busy. Come in and I will call him.
Bani follows him in and Tony tells her to sit on the sofa. He walks off to get Jai, but Bani stays standing, admiring the house from the inside now. "Wow! It looks bigger from the inside" she thinks. She doesn't see Jigs coming from a side, looking at her with curiosity and disgust.
Jigs: Yes, it is a nice house isn't it? – as if reading Bani's mind.
Bani turns to face her, a bit scared by the sudden voice and its angry tone. Losing all confidence, she begins to stammer at an intimidating Jigs – umm… I… umm… I've…. er… come to see... umm.. Mr. Walia" she finished lamely.
Jigs is thinking "o my god! What kind of people are beginning to come here now! Who is this randomer, dressed like… well…" she looks her up and down and says "What business do you have with Jai bhaiya? You can speak to me, I'm his sister."
As she says this, Jai appears at the top of the stairs, looking very intimidating and a bit annoyed at being disturbed in his work but very curious at the same time, as to who the soaking wet girl is downstairs that wants to meet me… Bani's back is to him, so he can't see who it is. He says, "It's ok Jigyasa, I'm here now."
Bani turns around quickly to see a very different Jai to the Jai she had been friends with for so long. She is shocked and slightly scared, thinking "Did I make a mistake in coming here? Will he recognise me? I should have rung before coming… What's going to happen…"
