Chapter 35

After some time, Arjun excused himself to go in his cabin to complete the case's report. He had been looking for Riya since they arrived back, but she wasn't to be seen anywhere. Finally Shaina had taken pity on him and told him that Riya had gone to the house to inform everyone about the good news. He sat on his chair, and decided to finally talk with her. He had really missed her and her voice today. Just as he was dialing her number, he saw a letter addressed to him. He put his phone aside and opened the letter.

After one minute the letter fell from his fingers and he was in deep shock. He didn't believe what he has just read, so he again picked up the letter and read it slightly loudly so as to convince himself that it was true.

Arjun Sir,

I have to go, I'll be back in one month. Please don't try to look for me.

I'll come back after that.

And I'm sorry if I have ever hurt you.

What rubbish is it? How can she just go? And that too without informing him about anything, without even giving him a choice to say anything. He was very angry at this and decided to rush home so as to be able to catch her before she disappeared. Even at that time, he was less remorseful and more angry at her childish acts. Arjun rushed home, but it was too late. Riya was gone, none of her things were still in her room. He tried calling her, but her number was unreachable.

He called Shree to locate Riya through her mobile and also to get Riya's old address.

"You cannot leave me and go this easily!" Arjun said to himself while being in Riya's room. He checked to see if there was at least a hint for him, another letter for him, but he was shocked when he just saw the engagement ring he had given her on the table. He went to pick it up, several feelings went through his mind, but he was more angry than anything for the time being.

Suddenly his phone started to ring, he picked it up quickly thinking it might be Riya, but unfortunately it was Shree giving him Riya's old address.

"And have you managed to localize her?" Arjun asked.

"Nahin Sir, her mobile is switched off," Shree replied back, "is there any problem?"

"Nothing that concerns you Shree, and keep trying to localize her," Arjun said in anger, and cut the call.

"I'll never forgive you for this Riya," Arjun said and rushed to Riya's old address. But unfortunately when he went there, Riya's landlord said that Riya never came. His anger had long dissipated when he realized that his Riya really had disappeared leaving him alone, and now he was getting very worried about her.

He went back to his SUV and asked Shree if he had any news about Riya, but Shree responded negatively.

"Kahan chali gayi tum," Arjun said feeling an immense pain in his chest.

Days passed, and soon it was one week since Riya had disappeared. Till now no one got any information about her, Arjun had become very silent and used to only remain alone now. No one could reach him, he was either shouting at everyone, or closing himself in his room. Dadi tried numerous times to talk with him, but he avoided her everytime. Even Rathore couldn't talk with him. They all knew by now that something had gone wrong between Riya and Arjun, and that's why Riya had left the house. But despite wanting to help Arjun, they weren't able to do anything.

On the other side, Rathore and Shaina were starting to become best friends. They were still very far from a couple, but now Rathore treated Shaina as a fragile thing, always teased her and made her laugh. He also helped her in every way he could, and Shaina was very happy nowadays. But her happiness was a bit eclipsed by the fact that Riya was absent and Arjun's painful eyes.

They all had tried in every way to find out where Riya was, but despite everything and their contacts as ETF officers, even then they couldn't find anything about her. They were all worried for Riya as well as for Arjun. One day Shaina tried talking with Arjun after Arjun had again gone to be alone in his room after dinner. But Arjun had politely asked her to leave him.

That night Shaina had asked everyone to meet in the hall to discuss something.

"I think we must do something. Arjun is closing himself more and more as days passes by. We all cant see his pain, we must try to cheer him up," Shaina told everyone.

They were all making plans how to bring a smile on Arjun's face, when Rathore proposed that everyone go their beach house this weekend. Maybe a change of air would help him. So everyone agreed that the next day, they'd all be leaving for the beach house.

The next day, when Arjun woke up and went down for breakfast, he was surprised to see everyone busy in preparing things.

"Aap log kahin ja rahein hein?" he asked.

"Hein hum sab beach house ja rahein," Dadi said.

Arjun tried to protest, but this time Dadi didn't even give him any chance to refuse, and soon after a few hours they all left for their destination.

When they reached there, everyone went to put their things into their room, while Arjun entered his room with great pain. This whole room was hurting him a lot, he had lots of memories of Riya in this room, on his bed. He had lived one of the happiest moments of his life here, and now his life itself was angry with him and had disappeared. He went to sit on his bed, still feeling Riya's presence in this room.

When he couldn't deal anymore with his pain, he left his room and the beach house and decided to take a stroll on the beach alone watching the sunset. He was lost in his thoughts when suddenly he heard some kids shouting for help. He immediately rushed towards those screams and was shocked to see some goons with knives trying to steal a bunch of kids and one girl standing in front of those kids, trying to protect them.

"Dekho it will be better if you just leave from here! You don't know who I am," she said furiously.

Her voice was pure heaven for his ears. He almost died with joy hearing her, his Riya. Finally he had found her.
