This whole broken marriage has been used to set the ball rolling to introduce Chan Chan, a righteous and bold girl and Uma ben a money minded condescending woman.
The marriage in itself was not meant to have any significance and delving into nitty gritties as to why the groom had nothing to say would be a complete waste of time.
I am also beginning to wonder if a couple of the friends have any significance either. The creatives would have been better off keeping the number down to three instead of five.
Chan chan's family is cool and light hearted.
Another major point is the way they are treating the male lead. First of all they gave him such a silly entry with a dog peeing on his shoes. There was no moment of awareness between the two indicating they were not affected with each others looks at first sight.
Next, he is shown brushing off a broken marriage without so much as a a moment of remorse for the loss.
Are they trying to show him as a shallow person?
If the creatives have any plans to endear this male lead to the viewers they better avoid showing such things in the future.
Even if they are running with the tagline that the women are the most important part of the show, they would still need to portray the male lead as a respectable guy instead of showing him as totally frivolous mother's pet --- especially when he himself is not helping in the acting department so far.
Umaben's three bahus look very cliched. Their getup and demeanor gives away a few things.
The first bahu --- looks matured and dutiful
The second bahu -- looks bold and a mischeif maker
The third bahu -- looks immature and silly
Looking at them, I am afraid Chan Chan is going to be such a misfit in this house.
After the first week I felt that the ---
creatives to have work hard to keep the storyline interesting
actors will need to work hard to get comfortable enough with their role and their co-actors to make themselves endearable to us.
Let's wait and watch.
