Story takes place where Zoya finds out that her father is Siddique, and he is evil (at least in this story) She finds out that he was the one who helped plan the death of her mother. The story will be showed as Siddique escaping from Zoya and Asad and staying harmless until he is found by them both. Zoya is still at Asad's house planning on how to find her cruel father.
SS: Shadows of darkness
*At Asad's House*
Asad had finally reached their house from finding out the dirty truth of Zoya's abbu. She was silent the whole way home, but her tears were screaming for help to Asad. As soon as he parked the car she jumped out of the car and ran inside, not letting Asad say one word. Asad got out of the car and walked inside of the house. He was worried for Zoya. Her whole world had just fallen apart on her and he didn't know what to do. He went to the kitchen and grabbed a glass of water and walked towards Zoya's room.
He knocked on the door softly. She didn't reply. Asad put his ear against the door and tried to listen in. He could her crying her heart out. He couldn't stand it anymore. He walked into her room and slowly walked up behind her. He put the water aside and put his hand on Zoya's shoulder.
Asad: Zoya?
Zoya: Why Mr. Khan, Why? Why does god always play games with me? First he snatched my mother away from me and then he gave me a father who is just --
She had no words to finish her sentence. There was no word invented to be as low to describe such a person.
Asad felt like he was dying inside, but he knew he had to stay strong. He had to stand beside Zoya in this situation and help her through this devastating battle.
He turned Zoya so that she was now facing him. She was looking down at the floor while her tears continued to flow. Asad put her chin up so that she was now looking into his eyes. He wiped away her tears while he drowned himself in her chocolate coloured eyes.
Asad: Life isn't over yet Zoya. Of course there are things in life that we wish not to go through, but if we never faced them, how would we ever realize what true happiness is? You just need to keep strong and always remember... That I'm always with you.
Asad tried to smile but it was hard. The pain made it hard to even fake a smile.
Asad: I promise you Zoya, we will get justice.
She looked into his eyes as if he was her last hope.
Zoya: Thank you so much Asad. I can never thank you enough.
Asad: Don't thank me. You need rest. It's pretty late. You should rest. Tomorrow we will start on finding that man once again.
Zoya nodded and Asad turned around and left to his room.
Hours passed but sleep didn't come to either of them. Zoya was lost in dark thoughts. Was there so many faults in her that her father didn't even think once of accepting her? She was crying in bed once again, while she drowned in this dark pool of insecurity.
She went to the bathroom and grabbed something from the cupboard. She took it and went outside to the garden.
Asad heard something move outside. He decided to go and check what could have made the sound. He got out of bed, went out to the front door, and outside. He saw nothing outside. It was pure darkness with thick fog covering the details of everything. He was about to go back inside but then he saw something white on the floor. He walked to see what was it.
It was a bleach bottle, and beside the bottle laid Zoya. Her tears were still fresh on her face but she was lying there lifeless. Asad Screamed.
Asad: ZOYAAA!!!
He picked her up from the ground and brought her inside. Najma and their ammi heard Asad scream and got up. They both went downstairs to see Asad bringing Zoya inside at such a devastating state. He quickly but softly put her on the sofa.
Dilshad: Asad! What happened? Why is Zoya in such a state?
Asad: Ammi she attempted suicide. I found her outside on the floor with a bleach bottle right next to her.
Najma and Dilshad were shocked. Before thinking, Najma called the doctor and asked what they should do. Doctor advised her to bring the patient in right now as her life is at risk.
Asad picked her up once again and brought her to the car. Najma and Dilshad followed and went into the car as well. Asad drove super fast skipping every light.
They finally reached the hospital. The nurses put Zoya in a gurney and pushed her into the Operation room. Asad tried to follow but the doctor had stopped him
Doctor: Please, we don't have enough time. Let us do the best we can and we will keep you updated.
Asad agreed and sat at the bench right outside the operation room. Dilshad was crying her heart out while Najma tried to comfort her. Asad didn't know what to do. He couldn't do anything to save her but one thing, beg to god.
Asad: Najma, I'll be right back, take care of ammi.
She nodded and Asad walked away to the pray room.
He Began to pray and beg to god. He just wanted her back.
He came out of the pray room and walked towards his family. He was about to ask Najma if the doctor had come out yet, when he got interrupted.
Doctor: Mr. Khan, The patient is now out of danger.
All the nervous feelings in his body had disappeared. He thanked god for listening to his prayers.
Asad: Thank you so much doctor. Is it okay if we see her?
Doctor: Yeah sure, just one at a time please.
He nodded and went in. He saw Zoya lay on the bed, pale and weak. To his surprise she was awake. He slowly walked up to her and sat beside her on the bed.
Asad: Zoya, how are you feeling?
Zoya tuned to him and looked into his eyes. She could see how many tears he has just poured out.
Zoya: I'm sorry Asad, I caused you a lot of trouble. I am really sorry.
Asad: Don't be sorry Zoya. Just remember, you're not allowed to hurt yourself, because you're mine, only mine. And to do something to yourself, you need my permission.
Zoya was shocked to hear that. Tears fell down her eyes, not of pain but of happiness.
He was about to hug her when they were interrupted by a phone call.
Asad: Hello?
Police Officer: Hello, Mr. Khan. We would like to inform you that the man you were searching for has now been found and will be thrown into jail in a matter of minutes.
Asad: Thank you officer.
He cut the phone.
Zoya: Why did the police call Asad?
Asad: Siddiqui has been thrown into jail, where he belongs.
Asad wiped her tears.
Zoya: thank you Asad thank you so much.
He hugged her tight, promising himself to never hurt her or let anyone else hurt her ever again, as she is his life.
