Hello Lovelies Huddy here,

What did I just watch?? I can not get enough of it, I have to watch it again *and again and again*

The second episode left me in complete astonishment!!

I can see many mixed reviews in the forum regarding today's episode

Some liked it

Some loved it

Some hated it

Some felt many aspects were missing

Some loved Sanaya's performance but felt that Farhan could have done better

* and the list goes on*

My perspective of all this is that forget the acting, the sets, the little bloopers and I also say forget your expectations and just concentrate on the storyline!!

Wasn't the subject of dowry in today's episode very catchy?? I know this is the unique thing in the show today that got everyone hooked...didn't it??

The reason why I am saying this is by looking at many posts I can see most of you loved this social aspect in the show which takes place in many lives daily...dowry still exists today no matter where you live...many are still ignorant on this subject and fall for this trap very easily...some face social pressure to give and take dowry and many are helpless!!

This subject of dowry got many members to ask each other whether they have faced it or someone they know...this subject is very heartfelt and the main reason for these feelings among many is because they themselves have seen it happening in their own homes, neighbourhood, etc..!!

And this is what TICKS!!

Why may you ask?

Read further to find out why this show will TICK:-

Watching today's episode got me hooked and was thirsty for more when it ended...it filled my mind with questions such as: Will the wedding take place?? what will the turn-out of Uma Ben and Chhanchhan be?? will Purvi and her father speak up?? what will be the reaction of the groom and his parents??...soo many questions left to be answered and believe me this is what intrigues the TRP contributers, this is why they watch shows for, it is the storylines like these that appeal to them...this is the positive aspect of the show and if the makers continue to show these social subjects such as dowry then the show will reach heights!!

These types of messages will have an impact on veiwers...it will change many views and help the vulnerable understand the severity of these situations (such as today we all saw the death of Chhanchhan's friend due to dowry)

This is the answer as to why the show will TICK with the audience!!

I have to admit that although I am watching this show for Sanaya, this aspect of mine has changed a little...this show has got a brilliant storyline and it has the ability to keep people on edge!!

Everyone did really well in terms of acting and we will see the betterment in upcoming episodes hopefully!!

Looking forward to see what happens next and having my questions answered!!

Hi Huddy!!

Lovely post. I'm loving the show but that's hardly a surprise😊. Lots of debates going on but I think it really is way too early to make judgement calls on the way the show is headed. The consensus seems to be it will turn into a fully fledged saas bahu drama...I say let's wait and see. Even if for reasons such as TRP's that does become the major point I have faith in Sanaya and the PH (based on their last show) that they will come up with a different tack.

Dowry as such hasn't played a part in my life the closest I've been to that situation is at a relatives wedding the girls parents were told 'we don't want anything but she's your daughter you can give her whatever you want'. Like everyone though I'm fully aware of what does happen. In this day and age the one line that really irritates me is the 'we educated our son and we need tobe reimbursed for that' just like the grooms mother did here. I hope Chhan Chhan comes along with some comeback like 'so did the girls parents and now she is going to spend the rest of her life probably working and bringing more money into your house but probably also taking care of you, your son and your household' or telling the groom 'ok pack your bags and come to the bride's house because we just bought you'.

I really hope she says something similar to the second one...it would really make people think about what they are actually doing..putting a price on the worth of their sons. The episode ended to quickly and I was left dying to know what happens next.

Your viewpoint is exactly like mine...Many judgements have been passed regarding the show not being upto mark...but the true fact is that from all the shows I have seen Chhanchhan has definately made a good impact on audiences like me...it has started off better than any show I have watched and in the second episode itself the story has started...this is very rare as the shows I have seen the proper drama would start 2-3 weeks in to the show!!

Nonetheless, I felt it was really good and everyone was a joy to watch, and not being biased here due to Sanaya, but it is the storyline that is keeping me on edge and hooked...it is very interesting as to what will happen next and this is what appeals to the majority of the audience!!

I have also never witnessed dowry situations as it is very rare here in the uk...but whenever I visit relatives abroad and talk to them...dowry still exists in many homes, it needs to be diminished and this show is giving out that message!!

Show will continue to get better and better hopefully...all it needs is time!!

Secondly it was known supriya ji will eventually turn out to be her future mil and then post marraige the cat and mouse game will begin where each one will try to outshone the other within their limits on the lines of taming the shrew. In between there be another girl or someone in the family going astray and how SI ch will bring him or her to task and make mil wonder that she is not all that bad.

What's the novelty in this? I would have liked to perhaps see the protagonist more spunkier and real.

Please do read my post again as I can see you have misunderstood my point

Nowhere in my post am I predicting...all I'm talking about is the situation of dowry and how the audience will relate to this message, and how this message will TICK with the audience!!

All in all I respect your opinion and if that is how you feel about the show then know one can change your view!!

I for one am loving the show and the storyline is very appealing to my eyes!!
