Filmfare Best Actress 2006

I think contenders for Best Actress are:

1. Aishwarya Rai for UMRAO JAAN and GURU.
I think Ash is really comeback this year with her stunning look and dance in UMRAO JAAN, new avatar in GURU and dam lookin hot gorgeous in DHOOM 2. I believe she should win for UMRAO JAAN.

2. Kajol in Fanaa
Kajol is dam good as ever in Fanaa and much better than in Karan Johar's film.

3. Rani Mukherjee fo BAABUL and KANK
For me Rani is so mediocre in KANK but she is FILMFARE's fav actress so she got the oppurtunity to be nominated again. Baabul I am not so sure but she's looking better than KANK.

4. Amrita Rao in VIVAAH
She is new but I think she is one of the finest new talent in Bollywood instead of Dia,Ayesha,Kangana and Minissha. She has a chance to be nominate.

5. Priyanka Chopra in DON
I dont like her but I thnik from a big hit film she will have an oppurtunity to be nominated too.

Overall I think 2006 is definitely belong to kajol.

Amrita Rao- in Vivah, she was awsome I have never been a fan, but after Vivah, I am a huge fan, she has really proved that she can act, she went from a chirpy girl to a mature fair maiden, in my opinion she deserves to win, in a world with glamour/sex queens she has made a niche for herself and her simplicity, and it didn't take her 10 years to prove herself. Ash, Priyanka even Sush were glamour queens, Kajol and Rani had history/godfathers, Only Preity and Amrita have done it own their own, hence the true winners!!

Ash- though she looked stunning was a disappointment when it came down to acting in Umrao Jaan, and Guru seems to be all AB, D2 has too many other stars so can't say anything also since i haven't seen Guru or D2 I honestly don't see her winning

Preity- she is a fine actresses but the poor gal barely had a role in Jaan-e-mann, which honestly belonged to Sallu all the way, even Akshay had a bigger role than her, in KANK she was decent I see her being nominated but not winning

Priyanka- Krissh belonged solely to Hrithik. Priyanka didn't do anything different or extraoridinary, don't get me wrong I think she is very talented, after watching Aitraaz I knew she had spunk but she hasn't done anything so good this year to win, even Aap ki Khatir went cold, and DON is all shahrukh and I mean ALL

Kajol- yes she made a great comeback with Fanaa I wouldn't be surprised if she does win, she looked gorgeous and so slim, and her acting, I don't think anything needs to be said of that

Rani- I havne't seen Babul so can't say and I disliked her acting in KANK, she is a very fine actresses but disappointed me in KANK, I think preity did a better job in KANK, if Babul is good then I can say Rani can win other wise nominated

i think there's a lot more competition amongst the men esp Hrithik/Aamir/ Sanju......don't forget Eklavya is also coming up----vidya balan might come up with a gr8 performacne....

I think u guys forgot Kareena is OMkara.....I think the compeition is gonna be b/w KAreena and Kajol for Fanaa. Kareena might bag the critics one and kajol the popular one...but these two r the closest competitors....the otehrs lik Preity, Rani, Priyanka r not even in the race!

I really believe Kajol and Rani have the best chance at winning, Ash I don't see winning she looked stunning but it wasn't award worthy. Preity, I think she will win best supporting actress for KANK! She was fab in that film.

Between the 2 kajol for fanaa n priyanka for don ..but for priyanka no so sure
