With Zee's Pavitra Rishta completing 1000 episodes there's a demand for the reunion of the protagonists Arjun (Rithvik Dhanjani) and Purvi (Asha Negi). A source says that the channel's Facebook page and Twitter handle have been filled with requests for their reunion. "Some fans are even threatening to go on a hunger strike if the channel doesn't reunite Arjun and Purvi within the next week," adds the source. Besides writing emails and letters, Arvi (Arjun-Purvi) fans have also started an online petition to reunite the two on the show. "We always knew that our fans loved us very much, but this news made our jaws drop!" says Rithvik adding, "I am very touched that my fans have loved our pairing to the extent that they are signing online petitions and tweeting to the channel to reunite us. Hunger strikes are extreme measures though. I am sure that I speak for Asha as well when I say that I request all of my fans not to take such drastic steps! Asha and I love our characters Purvi and Arjun as well and want to see them together as much as all of our fans do but I am sure Ekta Ma'am (producer Ekta Kapoor) and the channel have a story in mind for them being apart.
