I didn't have to wait the entire episode to tell that this was going to be an amazing episode.
Saras had me at "Maa ki kasam joothi nahi khate" His righteousness, his stern voice and sincerity that pierced right through Yash's selfish attempt. 👏👏That was Maha applause worthy!!
Then came the personal attack and he stood against it like a rock! The insults and digs at him being an orphan and his mother's sanskars.. man, that was brutal. The most heart wrenching and gut scrunching was seeing every insult hurt kumud just as much as Saras. Waah kya connection hai!👏
We understand that Kumud has a deep connection with Saras but the first voice of support came from Vidyachatur. "Yeh Pataa nahi kiska ilzaam apne sar le rahaa hai, mera dil kehtaa hai ki yeh aisa nahi kar sakta".. It's true, innocence and sincerity need no proof. The trust he has built for the past few days was evident.
A standing ovation for Gautam Rode at his expression when he is told by the villagers that Yash has not only killed the cow but also injured a woman. He thought he was defending a careless mistake of hurting an animal that had suddenly come across the path but hitting a human is no accident, its carelessness. But this doesn't weaken Saras' resolve to shelter the image of the family and he keep firm at his decision to take the blame upon himself. Mr. Saraswati Chandra, YOU THE MAN!!👏
Then came THE most intense part of the breathtaking episode. It was the world against a faith - the faith that Kumud has for Saras. "Nirdosh hai yeh, kuch nahi kiya isne!" Up till today, I saw Jenny as a good-looking and semi-talented actress but today I can honestly say that she ripped apart any criticism anyone has ever made about her skills. She portrayed the conviction and strength of Kumud while doing complete justice to a woman who understood Saras' pain because his mother was insulted too.
"Koi saboot nahi, par vishwas hai!" Jenny, mujhe bhi vishwas hai.. that no one else could've done more justice to Kumud's role. Hats off to you on a marvelous day out!
Speaking of a best episode, I have to mention the best line of the episode...
Purohit: Gau dhan kaa mol jaante ho???
Saras: Anaaj khaane se pehle maa ke dudh pe paltaa hai bachcha, uskaa koi mol nahi hotaa!
If anyone had doubts about Saras' sanskaars, this line should have cleared all of them.. ::cough cough:: dukhba:: cough cough::
Point to be noted: check out the frame when he is saying this dialogue. You see a wise man, speaking the truth and what true Dharm is, what a value of a Mother is... while surrounded by a bunch of "purohits" and "sants" who are "supposed" to be the protectors of the true Dharm. Kumud so aptly but subtly pointed this out... "Kaunsa Dharm nibhaa rahe hai aap log??"
What can I say about the SaMud scene that followed. I must admit, I was a little lost in the moment. Things between these two are not at iffy as they seemed just yesterday. The comfort and openness between Saras and Kumud is unbelievable. They both think that they have no right over the other, yet their actions are completely the opposite. 😆
How easily does Kumud demand that he stop taking the blame for someone else and just as easily he grabs her wrist to stop fighting and go home??? lol Oh Saras, why are you such a sweetheart????
The ping pong game between the two suddenly got interesting with Saras' dhaasu shot.. "Kyu dekh rahi thi mujhe??" (come on Kumud.. tells tells!) Such an adorable moment when both of them knew the answer but neither one pushed the topic. (Kuch na kahe.. bas chup rahe.. khaamoshiya, hi keh jaaye!) 😳 For two minutes, the moment does stop and suddenly Saras starts to snap out and changes the topic😆 Awesomely done Gautam! However, it wasnt so nicely done by Saras because Kumud saw right through the lie and stutters. Then came the ultimatum "Ab tum chaaho ya na chaaho, main tumhara saath dekar rahungi" Saras, you had only offered to support her when she would confront the family about the breakup but Kumud doesn't play that game. Ek baar Kumud ne committment kar di, toh phir woh apne ego ki bhi nahi sunti.. 😆
I shall not taint the magic of this episode by talking about Guman or Dukhba's inability to take a chill pill and think ligically..
So moving on.. special mention of the little kid who seems to be the only one thinking selflessly and thinking about a stranger but still a human left out in the cold without a blanket! So innocent, so pure 😊
Then came reflection time for SaMud. Each thinking of each other and how despite their differences and what happened, each has defended the other. We see the brilliance in the writing here. It's true, they've hurt each other a lot up until now but they have also learned how deep the wounds are(answer to you question Saras😉) It's now time for the treatment, the davaa and how wonderfully both of you did to bring some relief for each other.
Enter Gunial. Like name, she's a woman of such a great character. I wish every daughter has a mother like her. No rona dhona or babying the dikri.. it was all about what is right and understanding the practicality of the situation. Hats off to such a support. Kumud is one lucky gal to have an amazing set of parents!
Kumud makes the decision and her mother supports her completely, no questions asked. WOW!👏
And last but definitely not the least.. that final scene.
Kumud walks towards him with a light (of truth) and plate (nourishment of her care) and Vidyachatur assures Saras that he is not alone, this family is his!
"Jaantaa hu kaka, yeh pariwar mera hai.. aur mein APNE pariwaar par kabhi koi aanch nahi aane dungaa" Haay mein marjaawa..!! By the way, did anyone else notice the slight eye movement towards Kumud when he said "mera pariwaar"???
Ok Ok, back to the scene.. Vidyachatur wants to know the true story of what happend and why it happened .. but this is not the time.. If anyone opened Kumud's facebook page at that moment, her relationship status would definitely say "Its complicated" LOL😆
Next most important mission at the moment.. feed Saras. 😳
If they can get any more adorable than the dinner scene, God help us SC fans. Ger ready for the fangirling and the fainting to begin!!
Ready for dinner Saras? "Maa ne garam kar ke bhejaa hai" 😉
And just like a good father, he leaves them alone. A+ for you Vidyachatur.
The communication of SaMud echoes the title song perfectly! So of course, we start of with some staring when suddenly the protective, yet hesitant Saras comes out. But our dear dikri is so independent that she lights a fire for them.
After a war of words and attempt to be logical, dinner is served.
Saras bhav khaaying?? lol That was amusing but Kumud bhi kuch kam nahi.. she guilt trips him into eating. 😳
He sits down next to her and as he's about to eat the first bite.. he pauses and looks at her inquiringly... "TUM NE KHAAYA?" (Phangirling time!!! God, please tell me men like him exist in this world.. I would like one too!)
We knew Saras is bad at lying but Kumud was caught and how adorably he tricked her into eating! he watched her eat with bouts of that divine smile of his. Haay ❤️
