I just loved how the neher was shot in yesterday's epi...beautiful stuff...and a simple, rustic charm to the Bani-Sohum scene too.

I loved the long distance shots especially

I'm totally loving all the detailed discussions about the show between you and Anu. Reminds me of the days when we used to have such discussions regarding original days of NBT.

anywhow, you guys have said so much and such wonderfully that i have nothing left to add. I am loving the show so far. The setting is so beautiful and serene that it transports you, the viewer, to that sort of world as you watch it on screen. The music and the BG score are amazing and the actors are decent as well. You actually empathize with every character and especially Gurbani's mum and Rano. At first i thought it would be two bahus hating each other sort of conflict but I like how the source of conflict is an age old grudge and not hate. I like how they are still respectful of one another despite the differences. It's a big misunderstanding on both ends...miscommunication and that can be resolved realistically unlike other shows where they show characters literally hating each other for invalid reasons.
I really feel for Gurbani's mum and the actress is doing a fabulous job portraying that grudge, that sorrow.
Rajji is adorable to the T! lol so ful of life but not one of those "bubbly" kinds you see so often on tv. Gurbani is an ideal sort of daughter but she doesn't seem to be a doormat kinda character so far. She is really pretty too and looks her part-- a simple village girl.
The lady who plays Rajji's mum is the actress who plays Viraf's wife in Kismet, that YRF show on Sony.
@Sohum-- He's not bad. I like the fact that his character isn't one of those casanova type macho-man characters they usually show in all shows recently. He's calm and maintains his distance. I like that he's not forcing himself on Gurbani, such a welcome change, isn't it?
His friend was hilarious!😆 God he was butchering that song so badly lol! and Sohum trying to stop him so calmly lol.

anyways, i've yet to watch yesterday's episode though. i know you made this post discussing yesterday's eli and i started talking about the day before yesterday's. lol

Extremely short staffed at work today.. But I have to say.. My two most FAVORITE caps of that scene from yesterday!! THIS is what I meant when I said they they just SAT together in SILENCE and were just so TOGETHER all the same... And of course the contrast between the river and their calm moment..

Love it Anu jee!!

AMY!!! 🤗 I will reply to your post soon.. Yay you're here too!! 😆

Fivr🤗 . I'm here as well. I love your long posts, such fun to read always. Try to do them regularly if you get a chance.

Short staffed at work? Awww. Don't stress yourself. Think of the river flowing like in those beautiful caps that Anu just posted.

LMAO I guess we are only destined to have good discussions in the early months of any show...baad mein everything goes downhill😆

Word...both the girls are very well cast...Bani aptly portrays a simple and sweet village girl without acting bechaari or melodramatic types...and Rajji is also adorable...they both LOOK so Punjabi too...lol...especially Rajji...I love that authenticity in casting...they both BELIEVABLY look like Punjabi jattis.

The lady who plays Rajji's mum is the actress who plays Viraf's wife in Kismet, that YRF show on Sony. Oh nice :-) I think I've seen her in other shows before too...Viraf's wife matlab...Kavi's MOM in that show naa? LOLL

I think Sohum's awkward attempts to keep himself aloof do add a slightly refreshing touch to their story...it's a nice quiet love story as of now...let's see what happens ahead...lol

Just the way they were sitting together had a sweet vibe to it...even in his dream sequence, Sohum imagines Bani's expressions aptly...lol...no OTT lowelorn expressions...and just that shy awkward si cute and sweet vibe b/w them

I like how we all catch up on that.. Lol, I guess we are so put off by Kekta type over-dramatic "vamps" that we like this realistic conflict between two people.

AMEN dude! She isn't OVER doing it and I love that. I have been scared by over done "BUBBLY" girls.. Characters ka caricature ban jata hai! But she is just a happy, hopeful person who is still pretty much NORMAL.

The lady who plays Rajji's mum is the actress who plays Viraf's wife in Kismet, that YRF show on Sony.

Exactly what surprised me too! Day before that, the end scene showed his silhouette jumping up on the cart and just posing and I was telling Anu k I thought ye ego waley casanova hoga! I was so cautious about that but (thankfully!) I was proven wrong! 😆

His friend was hilarious!😆 God he was butchering that song so badly lol! and Sohum trying to stop him so calmly lol.

No worries jee! We can discuss any episode in any order you like! 😆

Lack of a better work nahi yaar, sadly it IS sharaafat only that has been missing from movies and shows lately! And tabhi we are all getting super excited to see some decency on TV.. It's finally nice to see something on TV that we can relate to because I sure as hell can't relate to ONS and passionate dances that are shown on TV.. 😆
