This is considered a fair trial in International Law

• the right to be heard by a competent, independent and impartial tribunal
• the right to a public hearing
• the right to be heard within a reasonable time
• the right to counsel
• the right to interpretation^[1]

20 years is not a reasonable time. Case shouldn't have been admisable in court. That's my point. I could care less if Dutt is guilty or not. You can't have a naked sword hanging on anybody's neck for 20 freaking years. Its inhumane and unlawful.

You reap what you sow.

The timing of the punishment MIGHT have come way earlier had he not been a celeb using his political connections to escape the punishment. While our judiciary is supposed to be the supreme most, it isn't the case. Government and politicians easily help celebs like Sanjay Dutt who turn in to them after committing their crime and seek protection. Had Sanjay not done this, he might have faced the punishment much more earlier but he did and hence he got out after 18months I guess. He probably thought he'll be able to escape the consequences and the punishment for the rest of his life but alas, fate had different plans. It is his OWN fault that he has to face the punishment at this age and not much much more earlier. Because he himself tried to evade the law and the jail term but too bad Sanjay, you do the crime, sooner or later you pay for it. It doesn't matter if he's a changed man now. That doesn't change the 100s of lives that were lost cause of him, directly/indirectly. AND he will anyways be out in like THREE bloody years. But those lives that were lost are never coming back. He might have become a changed man in 20yrs but what he did 20yrs back changed the lives of the families of the victims for forever!!! Also, like I said, it ain't like he'll be in the jail like rest of the inmates. Bet he'll secretly have his comforts there too so it doesn't seem much like a punishment to me atleast.

Really feel bad for twins... Gosh they are still toddlers! Anyway Justice should be prevailed
