Addressing the reasons for their recent launches not getting them numbers, Vivek Bahl, Chief Creative Director, Sony Entertainment Television said, "Today's audience is very fickle-minded. They just cannot wait for the main story to unfold slowly, or for the characters to gain in strength. They need to be engaged right from day one and require talking points.

On the recent misses, Sneha Rajani, Business Head, Sony TV had a word with us, "Nobody plans for failure but that does not mean we stop trying. While Amita Ka Amit and Khoobsurat are very good concepts, there might have been flaws at the execution level. Guess the new TAM measurement system can also be a reason for the low numbers."

Looking ahead, Vivek said, "We have full faith in all our properties and we will have quite a lot of high points in Amita Ka Amit, Khoobsurat and Anamika in the coming weeks to regain the upper hand."

thanks for sharing this artice bhanu...

well im really glad unlike other channel heads(im telling abt sp😡) sony creatives are not running blinkly behind trps...they value on concept and the story rather than just keeping or pulling off a show interms of trp...

happy that khoobsurat is part of such good unit of people...we also have full faith on th show...we should wait for the stories to unfold...rahter than just luv at first site luv stories...

thanks but really sony should luk into this trp matter i think some problem is there with the trp metering system in my building out of 8 flats 5 watch sony channel only 7.30 to 11 then how come so low trps even some of my friends dont know about simar show really sony should take this matter to I&B ministry how come one show getting 3 trps and one below 1 i really feel that the channel wont go in a same way like imagine

@Princessglory, do not worry about Sony. It has SAB TV and Sony sports etc profitable channels altogether the business is good.

Always Sony has problem with its fiction shows. It caters to urban audiences but most of our story tellers are habituated to say story effectively to rural audiences so for them this shift is tough...There are lot of loose ends in the TAM system and complete digitization will eventually help to stabilize the measurements better.

@Sio, always I stay positive wrt to Sony because the way they supported KTLK, my other fav show is just amazing.

Thatz really good of Sony officials and executives who look into the good concept and hope on their show even after TRP's being unfair to them. They are really one who stimulate their shows without bothering on TRP instead of blindly running behing TRP just like SP..

@ApoorvaFan,u have faith on sony but i haven't cause we wanted DEKHA EK KHWAB's a bit extention,it had also 0.7 trp at the last week.but sneha didn't do justice with our show..i love KHUBSURAT a lot.i don't want to finish this show so soon..my heart has broken once,i don't want it again..

Its really nice that Sony officials give importance on gud concept not only TRPs. Yes in Khoobsurat Real story is still 2 unfold. So we should b patient & enjoy the show.

i m so glad that instead of running behind TRPs Sony is concentrating on its concepts which r actually better than many crap shows of Star plus nd Colors.AKhoobsoorat and Amita Ka Amit both hv great concepts i m sure these ll gain popularity slowly nd steadily
