Hina Khan reaches a 'saturation level'-DT Note Pg9

Hina Khan has become a household name today, courtesy the fame she has garnered as Akshara in the long-running show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus.. The show produced by Rajan Shahi's Director's Kut has seen it all, and has surpassed every big milestone. Even in its fifth year of run, Yeh Rishta is right on top when it comes to the ratings; the realistic portrayal of issues tackled in the show has kept the audience glued.

However, we hear that Hina Khan, the protagonist of the show feels that 'she has done it all and wants to move on as an actor.' A reliable source from the industry tells us that Hina has played a bubbly girl, a lover, wife, bahu and even a mother in these four long years. She has reached a saturation point wherein she feels there is nothing left for her to portray as an actor. Also, the fact that she has been getting some attractive offers on television has made her think about moving out of Yeh Rishta.

For the uninitiated, Hina Khan had got a plump offer of participating in the last season of Colors' Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. However, the girl showed great commitment for her show and decided not to take it. Also, the channel war that followed after Giaa Maanek (who then played Gopi Bahu in Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya) decided to take up Jhalak had apparently forced Hina to hold herself back.

Our source goes on to say that Hina has again been offered Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and this time she has shown a keen interest in the dance reality show. Apparently Hina has had a talk with producer Rajan Shahi on the same. Though the final outcome of the talk is yet to be deciphered, our source maintains that if at all Hina is able to convince the channel and the production house, the channel might have to take the call of ending the successful show, which is even today adding up in a big way to the channel's GRPs.

When we contacted Hina Khan to ask her about it, she said, "Yeh Rishta is my life and has given me everything. I will keep being a part Yeh Rishta till it exists. I do not know who spreads these stupid rumours. My producer Rajan Shahi sir loves me like his daughter and my production house is like a family. So why will I quit? Ha ha ha.."

Producer Rajan Shahi sent us a text reply stating, "Hina is very much committed to the show. Her four years of dedication proves that."

Well, we certainly understand the high levels of commitment that Hina has shown towards the serial. At the same time, we also understand the eagerness of an actor to prove herself in more than one platform. And this is exactly what Hina Khan might be looking at now.
