Today, right after Saras realized that Kumud is reacting like this because she fell in love with him, he says he will take her wrath and then does this head nod/shake thing.

How many people were reminded of Shahrukh's "isshhh..." in Devdas after Paro leaves telling him how many hours she kept the diya on?
Of course Saras did not say it. But it was the same kind of sentiment. I thought it was such a beautiful done scene that did a tribute nod to SLB's Devdas. Saras didn't even have to say it, we knew that's what he was thinking.

Something like...

☺️Saras: Issshhh...(in Bengali) or Wow...she lovvves me.

Gautam did a great job. He's so good with subtlety.
Did you see that? Feel it?

I thought it a beautiful tribute to Devdas. Gautam definitely rose to the challenge too. 👏

i will have to watch that scene again..will get back to u! watched the scene again..i know what u mean, it does symbolize similar emotions, executed well by both the actors👏!

I saw it and I loved it but that didnt remind me of Devdas..I was totally into Saras at that point..Noticed how his eyes got moist in the corners when Kumari told him about the dream..that whole scene was the most important scene of the episode for me! I was waiting for Saras to see the picture and know the whole truth..glad it happened and just at the right time..things had turned really sour..cant wait for tomrorrow..

P.S- another thing I noticed was how Saras steps aside hoping Kumud will come into his room when she walks towards the edge of the pool to pick her books..😉

The moment I am talking about it right after he says that dialogue - manzoor hai. It's like he says Isshhh after that when he shakes his head.

I did not remember Devdas as i have forgotten those scenes of movie 😳

But yeah i felt that with head shake, he wanted to say , uff, crazy girl..she is being in love with me since then and i , fool, was pushing all wrong buttons 😆 😆

Just after reading your topic I went back and saw the scene again 😆 loved the faint smile on his lips when Kumari told him that Kumud made his painting even before meeting him..he is so happy with himself lol..just the mere thought that she has feelings for him made him decide to go that extra yard to tolerate all her anger and attitude and everything else he was complaining about..awww! :))

I love those subtle things they show..the nervous and hesitant exchange of glances..I think he might have come out of the room himself after a while, had chandrika kaki not entered the scene🤣
