Chapter Three

The sun rose. It was a bright morning. Rey woke up. "Wow! Kitni suhana din hai aaj. Waise main itna happy kyun feel kar raha hoon? Aaj kuch special hai kya?" he asked himself. The moment he asked the question, Taani's face flashed before his eyes. "Right, aaj to Taani college aane waali hai! No, Rey. Tu aur Taani ek dusre ko jaante bhi nahi. Koi aur reason hoga. Waise Taani mujhe jaanti hai." Then he controlled himself. "Rey, Focus!" He got ready and went to the college.

In the college, Swayam was waiting impatiently for someone from the gang to show up. Taani was standing behind him. "Bhai, main chali jaungi. Sharon Bhabhi ne aapko bulaya hai toh aap jaiye." She said. "No way." Swayam replied. "Main tumhe akela chod ke nahi jaane waala. Kisi ko aane do, phir jaate hoon." The first person to turn up was Rey.

Swayam was relieved to see him. "Thank god Rey tum aa gaye." Rey was astonished. "Kyun? Kya hua?" he asked. Swayam said, "Are, Sharon ne mujhe bulaya hai, aur main Taani ko chod ke toh jaa nahi sakta. So main chahta hoon, ki tumTaani ko humara college dikha do aur meanwhile main Sharon ko mil aata hoon. Will you do it?" Rey said, "Sure. Why not!"

As Rey and Taani roamed around the college, they chatted a lot. Taani talked the most, and Rey just listened. He noticed a lot of things about Taani. She was very cheerful about everything. She liked to talk, thought this was not a big discovery. Anyone would have known this just by spending a few minutes with her. She was weird, yet so cute. "Cutely weird." He laughed at his own joke.

This grabbed Taani's attention. She turned around, walking backwards as she talked."Kya hua?Aap has kyun rahe hai?" Rey came to his senses. "Kuch nahi." he said, controlling himself. Suddenly, Taani tripped. Rey caught her, and slipped himself.

Rey didn't try to get up, he was lost. Lost in Taani's eyes. Taani's cry of pain brought him back to his senses. He sat up. "Kya hua Taani? Tum thik toh hona na?" "Haan, main thik hoon. Yeh toh meri stupid si aadat hain, Hamesha grite rehne ki." Saying so, Taani tried to get up, but fell down again. Rey caught her once again. He said, "Lagata hai pair me moch aa gayi hai. Humara classroom yahi hai, vahan jaate hain." Rey helped Taani to get up. He put Taani's arm around his neck, and his arm round her waist. They went to the classroom.

The gang, including Swayam and Sharon, was already present in the classroom. Amar saw Rey and Taani coming inside. "Ale Ley, Taani, tum log aa gaye. Aul Taani ko kya hua?". "Taani tum thik toh ho na? Kya hua tha?" Swayam asked, very worried. "Are, tu itna tension kyu le raha hai?" Rey said, as he heled Taani to sit down on a bench. "Uske pair me sirf moch aayi hai." "Haan Bhai. Main thik hoon. Bas pair mein thoda sa dard hai."

The professor came in at that moment, so they had to get back to their seats. All through the lecture, Rey kept glancing at Taani. He didn't know why. He just felt his eyes searching for Taani, trying to make sure she was okay, every minute.

Finally, the lecture ended. As soon as the professor left, Rey jumped out of his seat and went over to the rest of the gang. They were discussing about the upcoming Dance Faceoff. "The Weaklings team is short by one dancer after Kria left. Sixth dancer dundna padega." Simmi said. "Right Simmi is." said Neha. "Sixth dancer for competition necessary."

Swayam's face lit up. Rey noticed this. "Kya hua Swayam. Tere pas koi suggestion hai kya?" "of course." Swayam replied. "Humari Taani hai na. Bahot achcha dance karti hai. She can be the sixth dancer." Taani was shocked. "Bhai, aap kya bol rahe ho. Main nahi karne waali yeh dance vance. Mujhe dancer banaoge toh team 1000% haar jayegi." Swayam tried to persuade her.

Swayam : Par Taani, tum dance mein trained ho, achcha dance bhi karti ho. Phir kyun nahi?

Taani : He Krishnaji, ab aap hi samjhao inhe! Bhai, aap samajhte kyun nahi?Maine toh dance chod diya tha na?

Swayam : Chod diya tha toh kya hua? Dance chod ne ke baad kch naya toh start nahi kiya tumne. Phir se dance karne mein kya problem hai.

Taani was adamant. "Bhai, main dance nahi kar sakti, please!" Swayam had to give into his stubborn sister's protests. "Okay. Ab tum dance karna hi nahi chahti toh kya kar sakta hoon main?" Swayam said. "But you have to help us to search the sixth dancer, okay?" Taani jumped in delight and said, "Okay!"

Night fell. Everyone left one by one, until only Swayam, Sharon, Rey and Taani were left. Sharon said to Swayam, "Swayam, chalo mujhe ghar chod do." " Yes, sweetheart." Swayam said, "Taani tum bhi chalo hamare saath." Taani looked towards Sharon. Sharon looked at her, as if saying, "Please Taani, please don't come!" Taani turned towards her Bhai and said, "No Bhai, aap Bha- sorry, aap Sharon ko leke jao, main aa jaungi."

"Taani, itni raat ko akeli kaise aaogi?"

"Bhai, main aa jaungi, aap jao!"

"Okay, jaate hoon. Par tum aa jaogi na?"

"Haan Bhai, aap jao!"

Swayam left with Sharon. Taani started off, but Rey stopped her. "Taani, itni raat ko akeli kaha jaa rahi ho. Main drop kar deta hoon."

"No Rey, main chali jaungi."

"Nahi main chod deta hoon. Chalo."

"Okay, chaliye." Taani finally agreed.
