I carry my dumbells to the shoot Iqbal Khan
Iqbal Khan, aka Angad of Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai is a sensation among young girls. After the super success of Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai and Kaavyanjali, he is currently busy with his new show Karam Apna Apna. Deeply religious and solidly rooted to the ground, he handles work pressure with a jovial and professional attitude. ShaadiTimes finds out what's behind the on-screen avtaar and shares a few candid moments about his food and fitness regime.
Food is my first love. I am a self confessed foodie. I don't follow any strict diet charts and I don't mind fried stuff as long as it is tasty too. Since I am suffering from chronic stomach infection my doctor has asked me not to have anything spicy. Now, I have to just survive on dal and sabzi. It's very sad. I loooove Mutton... It's yummy however you prepare it! (laughs). My favourite is Abu Gosht which is mutton cooked in milk! It's exotic. Sometimes I think I would never be able to have it for the next, God knows how many years, and I miss it a lot!!!
Kitchen carnival
Well, I have never cooked at home. I was totally spoilt and mummy was always there to take care of my taste buds. However, when I was living in Delhi I started cooking and experimenting on my own. However, I must admit I am not a culinary expert in any way and not all of my dishes turn out like the ones you see on television shows. I can make nice mixed vegetables and tomato chicken which is a typical spicy dish of Kashmir. It's very simple to make with all the usual ingredients plus it is very Kashmiri full of spice and lots of tomato puree.
Fitness mantra
I used to go to gym regularly and work out a lot. But that is history. Now I work for 16 hours a day! I am a servant and carry my suitcase to the make-up van. It has become a mini home for me. The only time I get now I sleep. I carry my dumb-bells for shoot. Between the shots or whenever I get a chance I catch up with some exercise. Sometimes, it is very rare though, I go to the gym and that too late at night. I go to Leena Mogre's at Bandra which is open 24 / 7.

Well.... (looks at the mirror in his vanity van)... I am quite normal looking. I don't think that I am very handsome or extra-ordinary. I don't go by the first impression to judge a person. I have to know him better. He has to be basically a simple and good human being to be attractive.
Favourite restaurants
I love Bombay Blues, Chawla da Dhaba, and the coffee shop at the Marriott in Juhu. I am usually there when I am not on the sets.
Dream date
Sneha, my girl friend. I dare not have anyone else as a date. She would kill me (laughs).
Chill out zone
I go meet Sneha when I get some time off from my work. She de-stresses me completely and I feel fresh and lively once again.
Daily Quotient I start my day with prayer Then I have honey and warm water For breakfast I have muesli on the sets For lunch I have 5 chapattis and dal-sabzi mixed In the evening or between the shots if I'm hungry I eat a sandwich For dinner I again eat that boring chapatti and dal-sabzi...(majboori hai!)
