His emotions welled up as tears and rolled down….

Even the cool sea breeze seemed to be affected by his sorrowful state……there was a misty cloudy tinge of sadness in that engulfing breeze too….

Roshini didn't come that night…..she wouldn't because obviously she was just a reflection of his mind state and that day, he was guilty for what he did to Riya….the momentary slip from his side was making him think that he betrayed his wife…his love…his Roshni…..So, she wouldn't come to him as she was angry….and it exactly happened that way…..

He lay there on the cold beach sand, his hands entwined with each other and kept under his head….His eyes fixed to the sky constantly looking out for that bright star which would turn into Roshni and come down to him….to live the night with him…..

But it never happened and he didn't blink his eyes even once, not willing to lose sight of her at any cost!

Next morning…

The team was getting ready to leave….Arjun hadn't come down yet….

"ab yeh Rawte kahaan gaya??….nikhalne ka waqt hogaya aur isska koyi atha patha nahi….Chotu, usske kamre mein phir se ek baar check karo….Shree, Riya….guest house ke baahar jaake dekho…shaayad jogging pe ho….beach mein jog karne ki aadhat…." [He stopped abruptly but the entire team was looking at Rathod in shock wondering how he knew it] I mean aadhat hone ki chances hai….ab kadhe kadhe mera mooh kya dekh rahe ho….jaao….we don't have an entire day…."

All set out on Mission Find Rawte….

Shree and Riya are just walking around when Shree spots Arjun lying on the sand a little far away….."wahaan dekho Ri…." Points to the sight which caught his eyes!

Riya looks at that and then wonders what happened…..Riya suddenly gets a feeling that may be he was angry for her behavior…and so he had come there straight from her room the previous night….

She asks Shree to wait there and walks up to him leaving behind a totally puzzled Shree…..He couldn't understand the reason for her going alone there but he decide to let it go….he would ask her the reason later….

Riya walked up to the spot and saw that his eyes were still staring at the blue sky up above….

As her frame came into his vision, he blinked his eyes and turned to her…..no in fact glared at her….The futile wait for Roshni, the entire night had left him frustrated and according to him she was responsible for that! His guilt had taken the form of anger for Riya, the girl who had made him lose his self control!

He got up quickly and furiously spoke up "mere Roshni ko mujhse dhoor toh kardiya tumne…ab aur kya karne aayi ho??kitni baar kaha ke dhoor raho mujhse….[after a fuming look at her] chale jaao yahaan se…"

Saying that, Arjun walked away leaving Riya with tears…..She didn't understand what was wrong…All she could get from his outburst that Roshni was someone very important to Arjun…..

Shree saw Arjun walking away and came to Riya…the tears in her eyes weren't hidden from him…."kya hua Ri? Khadoos ne kuch kaha kya?"

Riya wiped the tears…"kuch nahi….chalo, chalthe hai"

Shree nodded but he knew that all wasn't well…

They were soon on their way back to Mumbai…..Riya had decided to keep her distance from Arjun no matter what….

Days passed on and cases weren't any less too….

True to her promise to herself, she maintained strict professional relationships with him….and at times avoided his company too….It wasn't hidden from him either….though it irked him at times, he chose to ignore it…..

Meanwhile, she had known about his past and about who Roshni was to him from Shree and Chotu….She felt a strange kind of sympathy for the man he was but then she didn't dare to express it even once….one reason being the insults he had hurled upon her and his warning to her to keep away from him….and the other reason was Shree's warning to her that she should never broach this topic in his presence…..

She couldn't break her promises….so she never stepped out of her own self enforced walls….but again, his accusation of she had distanced Roshni from him poked her somewhere….Why did he say that?? What did she do??Though she wanted to know the reason, she didn't dare confront him even once…..

It was one of those days when she had purposefully ducked the chance of going with him for a questioning session…..She had opted out on the pretext of having some research work to do….It somehow pricked him….

Rathod: Riya, tum Rawte ke saath Jain's ke ghar jaavo….

Riya took her stand now, "sir, mujhe kuch important kaam hai….[When she saw Rathod's enquiring expressions]….woh aapne unn sab family members ke call records check karne ko kaha tha na?kya main yahi rukh ke Shree ke saat woh karloom? That's more important na?waise bhi Arjun sir ko kisi aur ke zaroorat hi kya hai? woh toh sab kuch khud karne mein vishwas rakhte hai….phir…."

Arjun cut her short glaring at her…"haan Rathod…main chala jaatha hoom…waise bhi isske saat chalne se case mein kuch zyaadha farq nahi padhne waala"

[He smirked at her while she glared back and that insult didn't go well with her]

But he had marked it in his mind to get answers from her…..He had conveniently forgotten his warnings and insults or perhaps he hadn't voiced it out in his perfect senses and so, now he felt his ego bruised when she ignored him and his presence…..

He wanted a reply from her as to why she was avoiding him…..He didn't know why it was important but still he wanted to know…
