I agree Anits, it took her forever to thank the man who saved her father's life. If it wasnt for Saras, they wouldn't have had him back in one piece. And for someone who knows what it means to lose a parent, Saras did an incredibly brave thing at risk to his own well-being. He didn't have to do that, nor did he have to hold Kumud back from trying to save her father herself, but he is just that chivalric. He is the kind of man strong enough to challenge the values of Kumud and make her understand her flaws. This isn't to say he has no flaws, but he is like a human mirror for Kumud. Because in the weeks to come, Kumud will start to understand herself better through her interaction with him and through her family's interaction. As for the face thing, how many of us would want to show ours to a man who rejected us through a letter? If he is going to say no to an alliance, let him at least have the class to do it in person. I too think she went far, but as a girl I could see where her pride got the better of her. I wouldn't want Saras to forgive Kumud so easily, only because she needs to see the depth of his pain and feel deeply for him. She will appreciate his forgiveness even more when she has to earn it and he finally comes around.
