The real reason behind Kaahiin To Hoga shutting down is actually big money and a lucrative contract. And the one who benefits is not Star TV or Balaji, but lead heroine Aamna Sharif aka Kashish. The buzz is that the gorgeous Aamna has signed an annual contract of Rs 3 crore with Sony Entertainment Television. That makes her one of the highest paid TV actors and also the exclusive property of Sony for a period of time during which she will only do shows with the channel. This is also the result of Aamna's very close friendship with ex Balaji creative head Sandiip Sikand who is the chief creative director in Sony at present.

Looks like Sandiip, in an effort to give his ex company a run for its money has got initial success by roping in one of the key players of Balaji. Sandiip Sikand and Ekta Kapoor are not the best of pals anymore and Aamna, by associating with Sandiip Sikand will more or less alienate Balaji now. That's the obvious speculation.

When we contacted Amna Sharif for a confirmation she only gave vague replies refusing to acknowledge or deny the development. Well, that seems more or less likely since no professional actually prefers divulging figures and details about their payments. But for now Aamna is hooked and booked properly with Sony. But whether she manages to break out of her Kahiin To Hoga image and strike gold with Sony or not is one big question waiting to be answered! (Sampurn)
