I truly believe they couldve given Vidya shaft for Kahaani. Seriously, her performance was good but it was not out of the world or anything. The script, screenplay, editing, and the twist were the main pluses about Kahaani.

Best Actress critics should have been Sridevi and Best Actress popular should have been Priyanka Chopra for her wonderful performance as Jhilmil.

I wish they had a tie between Paresh Rawal and Irfan Khan for Best Actor critics, both were truly deserving!

^ Vidya was simply flawless in Kahaani so I believe she earned the award. It's difficult to picture anybody else in her shoes for that role at all. She was the back bone of that movie. Had anybody else done it, nobody can guarantee this much of success as an end result

I agree, however there were other performances which in my opinion were much better. I could see Priyanka play that role, however I cannot see Vidya play the role of Shashi or Jhilmil.

Sridevi not getting any award shows how populist our awards r, appeasing only stars at the moment. Please donot bring richa chaddha down for that. She deserved it equally.

Oh btw the whole idea of popular and critics awatd is what beats me.

Im not bringing Chadda down, she shouldnt have gotten a Best Actress award when she was at best JUST in a supporting role!

The reason they have the Popular and Critics awards are two keep two people happy. Fine, agreed, give the Best Supporting award to Chadda, Critics to Sridevi and decide popular between Balan and Chopra.

Keeps everyone happy!
