hmm I was trying to be the exception here. I opened to the writer on how difficult it would be for me to come to terms with the fact that Rishabh will be Madhu's love interest after what he but, post the diagnosis, he has spread his charm. Liking bad boys is understandable, I have done it. Going after them is different, I have not dared & shall not for the life of me.In short, only good from afar. 😉
If you must go there, I have a hypothesis. As the amount of time spent with a man increases, the woman's tendency to seek compatibility and all the other factors listed above increases as well. This is because the egg is a larger investment when compared to the sperm. So, the woman chooses wisely when it comes to the baby daddy. Now, with short term flings, display of violent instinct faintly resembles mating calls & is of immediate interest. Of course, once the true capacities (genetic and otherwise) surface during the course of the relationship, bad boy ships sink and fast. I would like to think that since we are largely monogamist (atleast for the course of a relationship), the nice guys are more likely to obtain a long term partner. ***Point to be noted: a survey conducted with men and women showed the want to have sex increases with the time spent and peaks later for women showing they seek a partner in child rearing and earlier for men showing they only want to spread their seed and chicken out.DISCLAIMER: From a purely evolutionary perspective. From a psychological (Freudian) view, sex and aggression are the two instincts that guide all human behaviour. These are inseparable and charged by libido; the ego fulfills the id's want of sex by cathecting on outside objects (bad boys happen to be associated both kinds of pleasure sexual and violent) which may not be the case for mature personalities.Okay, way too much dissection of an innocent comment, I realize but I could not resist. Also, twisted theories are a better read than Twilight, any time of the year.
a heart felt Thanks to Nimmi ( Aksuji) for this banner. will be adding it to the first post too but I need to declutter it first
yay thankyou Nimmi
RK:- Munna Pani
He repeated again.
Madhu:- (to herself) should I or should I not.
She could not prevent herself from answering him. she followed his voice and came into a very different world. Colors bright and vivid adorned the walls. Drop cloths all around the floor, it smelled of turpentine. Some unfinished pieces of sculpture lying around. She looked around as if in a dream land. RK was working on a sculpture, a small one ,his hands were soiled in clay, he was still kneading the clay between his fingers. His way of handling the wet clay was pretty peculiar or probably Madhu had never seen any one sculpting before. Better yet she had never imagined RK doing all this.
RK:- Why are you staring at me Biwi,
She was the last person he had expected to answer his call.
Madhu came back to her senses.
Madhu:- you need something.
RK:- Water '..
Madhu went out without replying. RK did not know if he should wait or should call for Munna again. Madhu was not the one about whom you could say anything with certainity. Madhu did come back with a jug of water in her hands. She poured it in the sink for him. The water was warm and it warmed RK too he had never expected her doing anything for him. He looked up to her for towel but saw her gazing all around. She was not looking at her. He again could not help playing the devil. He grabbed her handful of t shirt to wipe his wet hands on it. She snapped back.
Madhu:- what are you doing??? This is called taking undue liberties and besides it was such a nice t-shirt.
RK:- so with whom are you going to complain with the chief minister or the inspector general.
Madhu glared back at him.
RK:- Oh you don't need any one . you can hit me back cant you??
He immediately felt Madhu receeding back. She left without saying a word. He smacked his head.
RK:- (to him self) why did I have to ruin it. Such a nice evening it was.
He sulked. Madhu did come back to her room, to keep her mind off all that was once again raging in her mind she went downstairs to check on dinner. She asked the cook where Radha and IG were. She had not seen them since evening. The cook informed her they had gone out but would be back for dinner. It was nearly 7:30 PM. The cook asked what she needed to make for dinner. She thought of ordering from outside as it was late already but that would mean facing RK again. She definitely did not want to do that so she thought of cooking herself.
She did enjoy cooking that day. Once every one was back they all sat for dinnerand ate in silence. They were yet not a family there was an undercurrent of coldness emanating from every one. The big huge walls of ice yet were showing signs of melting down. When Madhu was about to go to her room MK again called upon her.
MK:- I have to talk to you.
Madhu noded in obedience and was about to go to his room. RK held her by her arm.
RK:- where are you going Bahadur.
Madhu:- your dad has called me'
RK:- its funny Bahadur my dad has nothing to say to me but he has lots to tell you.
Madhu looked at him with complete disinterest. RK was irritated even further and said
RK:- I want to talk to you. It is important. It is about your PA at counsellate
Madhu:- will be back asap now leave my hand My Lord
RK:- make it fast '..
It was not a pleasing to ears the way he said but by now Madhu had learnt not to go by his tone. He himself hardly knew what he wanted and and how to get it. He mostly went by his instincts and those too were jumbled up so it was always better to go by his words than by his tone.
MK:- sit Madhu. Did you get the papers.
Madhu :- I did. We had send them the charge sheet a few weeks back already. We had info about his whereabout before also. Gafurans info also corroborated it.
MK:- Gafuran's information carries no legal weight, but evidences gathered from your I mean DC's person and his residence will give us a lot of weightage. Our govt has saught updates on investigation from them also. I think we will get some info pretty soon. If all goes as per our plan he will be arrested very soon, and we will be able to file an extradition petition in time. Madhu I want to again ask you if you are comfortable confronting him. I don't want you in any kind uneccessary and unrequired turmoil.
Madhu :- I am alright confronting him sir '. He means nothing to me.
MK felt though she showed determination and her voice was not even remotely attached to the person who had once tried to burn her alive yet she was just a 25 year old girl. Who had been batteling her own woes all her life. This is why he love Madhu she was resilient, yet very sensitive. She hardly demanded anything from anyone kept an open mind, nursed no grudges and above all was a quick learner.
Madhu:- I have no personal scores to settle with him sir. I am only interested in bringing him back and putting him behind the bars for all the charges that we have evidence against.
MK looked at her intently, he was certain that what she said she would try to stand true to it, but somehow he had a feeling that it would be difficult for her to be so mechanical this time.
MK:- My intrinsic feeling warns me against this but I want to give you this one opportunity Madhubala use it with caution and I am certain you will succeed in bringing this man to justice.
Madhu took his leave and was coming back to her room when she saw Radha cleaning up the kitchen. Madhu went to help her.
Madhu:- where did you go in the evening.
Radha:- your dad had to go for a dinner and I had to go shopping. The curtains in the living room needed to be changed.
Madhu:- ohh Okk.
Radha:- I did not know you would be back so soon from your moms place. I thought Trishna and padmini ji needed you at this moment.
Madhu :- Nah they will be fine. Ma is strong and Trishna needs work to keep her occupied. Which she has so they will come out of it. Thinking about the curtains where did you get that statue from it is beautiful.
(she was about to eat a piece of rasgulla from the fridge)
Radha:- I can see that put it back and Rishabh made it.
Madhu was shoked so much so that she dropped the glass bowl that had the rasgullas in it. Madhu looked at shattered glass and then at radha waiting for a lecture coming her way at how clumsy she was.
Radha:- Lo tumko khane nahi diya to saara gira hi diya'.chalo niklo waha se nahi to pair mein lag jayega. Rajni Isko saaf karna please.
Madhu:- wo I had no Idea that Rishabh was so good at all this.
Radha :- he did it when he was in college. It is huge and beautiful. He does do some sculpture now also but not this big.
Madhu:- why does he tend to leave every thing just like that. He studied medicine too.
Radha:- he is very restless and he is so because he is always looking for his dads aprooval which hardly ever came his way.
Madhu:- you mean sir does not aproove of him. I don't think so he is a little rigid( Radha looked at her skeptically) Ok a little too rigid but he does not disaprooves of him.
Radha:- he has never openly accepted his artistic qualities and soft nature. That is what has made rishabh into a not so likeable person. Then there have been other issues also. Madhu he is not a bad person. I don't know why your wedding took place the way it did. I know but he cares for you.
Madhu: - I can see that he cares for me but I cannot see the reason behind his care''
She had a lot more to say but all was left mid air because there was a power cut.
Radha:- what happened? I will ask someone to check on the fuse.
Madhu:- Ma I will do it if some one comes from outside they may bang with that idol and it could break.
It was pitch dark and Madhu had started to find her way in dark.
Radha:- that is fixed to the floor it will not fall. You stay where you are. I will get it fixed.
MK also came into the living room.
MK:- You both stay where you are Chetan is coming to fix it. Lagta hai fuse ud gaya.
Within a few minutes the power was back up. Madhu said her goodnights and came back to her room.
