Bang on post. Everything that you said is so correct. 4 Lions are masters of recycling.

I feel stupid watching this show most days.

This was just a bang-on post!

Before people jump to the conclusion that I'm bashing the show or something, I am going to say that:-

1. I respect Gul Khan and the 4Lions Production house. They make successful shows. They hire outstanding actors. They move us to tears and they reduce us to puddle of goo with the romance. They are just brilliant. :)

2. Asad and Zoya are amazing. I like the other shows by this PH, yes. But something about Qubool Hai draws me in more than the other two. Be it the background or the family drama, but it's just brilliant.

Now coming to the point, the Creatives of this show.

You guys are called "CREATIVES" for a reason.

You're supposed to be bloody creative, man! You cant show us the same thing over and over and over again. -.-

Like for real, just because this worked with your previous shows, it doesn't make it any more believable or acceptable.

Zoya is supposed to be the modern woman who wont take crap from the male lead! So PUH-LEEZE stop portraying her as a scapegoat.

I have noticed that with each show the men turn into progressively bigger jerks and the women into even more simpering idiots. In hindsight, Maan seems the most sorted of the men and Asad the most messed up. Zoya has been turned into the biggest coy, simpering idiot ever. No wonder the Hindustan Times piece called her "naeka". Which is sad because she had a lot of sass to begin with. Now she annoys me as much as Asad's constant meltdown. It is both the writing as well as Zoya's acting, the hurt and pathos doesn't come through at all. Actually Dilshad and Shirin also come across as very weak women. Only Razia is like a boss 😆

i totally and wholeheartedly agree with you!!! the zoya we knew was a smartass and could put anyone, be it asad or whoever, in their right place whenever she wanted to... look at her now. always a doormat, moping and crying around over a man who seems to have forgotten her completely and whose feelings have, i think, flown out of the window the moment his tehzeeb-filled friend walked in through that front door of his. they've butchered zoya's character and turned asad into an 'emotionally challenged', as zoya puts it, person. asad has completely LOST it. all the 4lions shows work on the same formula... same old things wrapped up in new packets, every time. 😒
