i forgot...but there is this movie in Tamil i think..i saw it in bits n pieces n the hero gets the heroine pregnant just so that she can be tamed n become a good girl...the girl wants to be an international dancer but he doesnt approve of it...n thus he gets her preggy...n that was the end of the movie ...

i felt it was wayyy too extreme!!..somehow..i cant recollect the name of the movie..maybe some1 can help here...

all those movies where a rape victim is married off to the culprit for "justice" and to retain her "purity"...YUCK...raaja ki aayegi barat, bulandi, some other telugu movie i saw...

plus, all those films where a guy dosent notice a girl because shes too opinionated or tomboyish or behenji types but as soon as she wears a saree or starts behaving like a "girl"...its all "hello beautiful..im in truuu lubbb" and the girl is all like "i did this all for you...yay"

In a lot of ways, how the character of preity(Priya Bakshi) was humiliated in the movie.She learns that she is pregnant with Rahul's(Saif) child. Her parents go to Rahul to talk about marriage but to their shock he refuses to marry her. And then the whole society blames her for the mistake and treats her like a piece of shit/Untouchable. And Rahul(Saif) who is actually responsible for all the mess freely moves around and no one questions him. The kind of differentiation between the men and a women in the movie is certainly biased.

well..that was exactly the pt of the movie. The movie wasnt sexist per se..but it showed the sexist nature of the society towards a woman ..who gets pregnant without being marries!

rather i was happy that in the end preity does not go for saif..but goes for the guy who actually stood by her thru all this..so i dont think so it was sexist at all...

I was happy about the ending too, hmm i somehow did feel a part of the movie was deffo male chauvinistic.
