Meera watches helplessly as Ammaji tries to open a leteer and read. But at that moment, Iravati intervenes and tells Ammaji that she can check the documents later but should have her medicines first. Meera comes forward and takes the bag from her Bua's hands and finds out Ammaji's medicines for her. She hands over the bottle to Ammaji and at that time skillfully removes the letter from her hand. Then she bends down and picks up the entire stack from the floor and puts it inside her bag. At that moment, Ammaji was turning back to take water from Iravati. đ
Meera returns to Alaka's room to find Shlok there sitting with a hurt expression in his face cos Meera had scolded him. On her Mom's insistence, Meera tells SORRY to Shlok but he refuses to acknowledge it. He then leaves Alaka's room, Alaka asks Meera to go after him and say sorry once again. Meera leaves but keeps her bag on Alaka's bed and goes.
Iravati and her husband is in their room where Mr. is praising wife's beauty and romancing him uttering beautiful peotic lines. Iravati refuses to be swaued by her husband's romanticism and asks him to help Yash Bhaiyya in his work instead of being poetic, since the burden on Yash's shoulder has increased manifold due to Kumar Bhaiyya's sudden death. At that moment, Shlok enters their room with a hurt expression and says that he is the most unfortunate person in the world cos his friend had scolded him. Meera tries to manaofy him but he again goes away to Badi Bhabhi's room where he refuses to eat food. Meera is about to leave when he hears his Fufa uttering poetry lines which she found in the letters addressed to Alaka. She is dumbfounded but Iravati and her husband says that these lines are pretty common and every one in Benaras knows them. Meera then leaves and follows Shlok to the other room and ultimately manaofies him after which he decides to eat. She gets up to bring the box of jalebis perched at the top of the almirah when her hand encounters a mayor pankh. She is shocked as she remembers that every letter of her mother had a peacock feather attached to it. Sonakshi tells her that a peacock feather is considered to eb an auspoicious gift between freidns and is also prevalent between lovers too. Meera is shocked.
As Meera is passing the drawing room, she sees a no. of peacock feathers lying on the ground. She picks them up and finds Ammaji donating a stack of books to the Library cos the books were rotting in the house. Meera asks her as to whom the books belong to, but Ammaji tells that she is not aware of the same. Meera picks up a book and it contains poetries. On one page she finds a single peacock feather. She is intrigues and reads the poem in that page ⌠it's the same poem as the one mentioned in her mother's letter. Meera takes permission from Ammaji and carries that book with her.
Meanwhile, Alaka finds Meera's bag on her bed, she picks it up to give it back to her but the zipper being undone, all the stuff spills on the floor. She finds the stack of letters and is totally shocked when she sees that it's the same letters that she had sought to hide. She hears footsteps and hurriedly picks up all the other stuff and after putting them back inside the bag, pushed it under her bed. At that moment Meera enters carrying the book and peacock feathers. She asks Alaka to check the book and on opening Alaka finds the peacock feather in that very same page. She is unable to comprehend what to do but she gathers courage and asks Meera to accompany her to the Ganga Ghat where she is going for a bath. Meera goes with her grudgingly.
As they sit together on the steps in the Ghat, Alaka questions Meera point blank as to why she is doing all this and trying to find out about her past. Meera replies that she is trying to find the colour of love in her Mom's life which was once there, since love and its myriad hues had exited Alaka's life once she got married to Kumar. Alaka says that even if two people meet and come close to each other, its not necessary that they have to continue treading the same paths all thru their lives. He had chosen to pursue his future while she had accepted her role as Kumar's wife and had forgotten him from that very day she got married to Kumar. Meera urges her Mom to move ahead and says that 'aap unki suhaagan kabhi ban nahin paye, toh phir aap kyon unki vidhwa ban rahe hai'. Excellent dialogue. đđđ
Alaka requests Meera not to pursue digging up her past and asks her to promise. When Meera refuses to do so, Alaka takes Meera's right hand and places it on her own head and again asks Meera to promise. Initially Meera removes her hand and refuses to promise, but on seeing her Mom's devastated face đ, she agrees to it. Alaka then keeps the stack of letters on the steps and goes down the steps to the River. Meera picks up the letters and opens one and reads.
Very beautiful poetries guys, but sorry couldn't get them. SORRY.đ
As Meera is reading a letter, a sleek black car is shown and the passenger is also reading the same poetry and as he flips the pages, it is revealed that each and every page contains a peacock feather. đł At the very end, the car skids to a halt and the man gets down, all dressed in black, looking good, wearing dark shades and looks all around, trying to take in the scenery.
