coz' she knows that mahen wants the land...& that land is under gauri's name(but gauri doesnt know)...that's why i think that mahen already planned everything from the start...shashank running away from the wedding is part of his plan...so that shiv will marry gauri & it will be easy 4 him to get the land....

that's why devika wants t break their marriage so that mahen cant get the land...well...that's what i've read...& heard...
