Frankly, I feel Asad is attracted deeply to Zoya and likes her very much so too...
She has become an unforgetable part of his life now but has she become permanent resident in his heart? Nope. Not yet.
If Zoya decides very strongly to go back to NY tomorrow, Asad will probably feel heartbroken and try to convince her to stay but will he fight for her to stay? No not really. I can see him controlling himself and thinking maybe it is for the best or something until something cause Zoya to stay back.
Same goes if Zoya and Ayaan get together, I cant see this guy fighting for her. He would most likely step back and sacrifice his feelings for her.
He is rather very confused and scared. Scared because its very obvious he has an fear and immense disbelief to the feeling called love, the so called love which destroyed his mom's life, the love which still makes her wait for so many long years even after being betrayed, this love which causes nothing more than pain and tears. That is the kind of love he has seen his entire life therefore he is afraid to let that feeling grow in his heart because he fears a similar outcome as his parents.
Now here comes the confused part, Zoya is still a huge question mark for him. Despite knowing so much about her that still he doesnt think she is mature or serious kind yet. Now he thinks because her parents were not there, she doesn't know how to handle the responsibility or take care of a family and Zoya's carefree, not so serious and taking the hatke raste in life makes him all the more confused about her.
Will she able to handle the responsiblilty of marriage? Will she take marriage seriously? will they even be happy together with alll their differences?
They both come a long way since their bickering and hatred for each others ideals but still he has become accustomed to that Zoya who always irritates him, gets him in trouble and makes an utter mess out of everything so its going to take him time to understand her more better. He has just seen a new side Zoya recently and has started to soften himself a bit. However he still doesn't know everything about her to understand her whereas Zoya knows him very well!
She knows how much trouble he went through In life, she knows she can depend on him,that scene where she comforted him trying to get him out of his silent zone said a lot about how much she understood him. She is a kindred spirt who understand everyones pain considering all pain she has been through but with Asad its more special, she has willingly molded her life around him. Taking care of his little OCD tendencies, handling his anger calmly, making him do as she wishes, etc. etc.
Asad needs time, he has only seen a few glimpses of the real Zoya but he really hasn't seen or understood the pain and sorrow in her. The girl is always laughing and acting like a naughty child. He still doesn't know what she thinks or why she does certain things.
Which also steams his lack of respect for her sometimes, The girl just doesnt act with seriousness she comes up with one insane idea to another. Its like nothing effects her in his mind so he doesn't take her seriously. Now say if Zoya stood up to him and gave him a piece of her mind for all the comments on her parents and stuff, He will probably shut up and not mention such things again but Zoya is the understanding kind who understands POV rather than putting forth her own POV on how it effected her. If he just mumbles a sorry, she''ll accept it with a not so serious shayari on the side.
That's the huge problem in ASYA love story, His unwillingness to accept what his heart really feels and trying to stunt any growth of his feelings for her. He is so focused on the negative aspects that he doesnt see the positive things to Zoya that makes her the perfect match for him. His mind is hellbent in thinking that she is a misfit if thats what it take to stop himself from falling in love.
This will play a huge obstacle in their path because Zoya is more vocal about her feellings and she needs the same from Asad but he isnt ready to do so. She wants a sign from him. she wants him to fight for her, make her feel she is wanted because just like Asad even she had an ideal guy she wished to fall in love with in her mind. Yes Asad doesnt fit that and she is accepting that but still her want and need for attention and love is what makes her so sad. Tha fact she isnt exactly as special as she thought herself to be makes her heartbroken.
This complicated mess of their feelings wont be sloved until ASAD realises the actual depth of his feelings and completely understands Zoya which I think will be soon once she learns the truth about her past and of the promos are to be taken into account then he will be the one to catch her before she falls and breaks due to the pain and scars of the past.
And Im hoping that it will be ONLY him who will be there to hold her together when she falls apart
I know I will always be shouting at Asad for hurting Zoya (She is an amazing woman! Whats wrong with u Asad!) but I feel his Pov is understandable not very much but its realistic the fear, confusion and uncertainty he has regarding her.
He needs more of a jatka than Zoya right now because he thinks she probably wont end wiith someone else because even that guy wont be able to handle her.

But I needed to get it out. Its been on my mind for so long about what Asad feels and I need to write. it down before I go back to studying for my comp sci exam 😆 otherwise ill.most probably write my analysis on Asya relationship. :-P
