Before war of words breaks out and things are said which offends and upsets people, please lets all take a deep breath and think.
Sugni does not know she is married.
TVS knows that they are both married to different people. So he knows this is not a valid marriage.
Since he has met her he has tried to protect her from the protitution trade (Please lets not get into why she is there. Lets just accept she is there and move on). He even paid more money than Devarkar for her but that has not stopped Devarkar.
So how does he keep her safely away from the protitution trade? Today its devarkar, tomorrow it will be someone else and the one after that. How many does he outbid and fight.
He could say she is married to Adi.
Problem - she does not remember so cannot corroborate, No one knows Adi so chances of TVS being believed zero. Also when he showed the Mangal sutra to Amma and said he will prove that Chulbuli is Sugni then Amma did drama infront of the street and they all agreed that Chulbuli was Amma's daughter and had grown up there.
When he left with chulbuli he intended to take her back to havali, to her old life and husband. But the Doc has now told him that nothing should be said that may stress her brain otherwise it could will result her being brain dead. So he cannot take her to the havali where she may be haressed. He said he would leave her at the Kotha but can he really do that - No.
So what option does he have?
Please remember finding her and making amends is his salvation so this is a marriage of convenience to keep her safe. Nothing more.

I said the above yesterday. I would like to add this is India which is still a very male dominated society and relationship between men and women unless they are by birth or marriage are looked at suspiciously. How else can protect her on an ongoing basis until its safe to take her back to the havali. This is the only way he can take her from the kotha without the whole area going up in arms against him.
If she does demand anything from him he will remind her of her own words - kisi ko patni kahane se patni baan nahi jati
This situation will only cause a problems in the future if Adi and the family do not believe that there was nothing in this marriage other than protecting her from being forgmarched into prostitution.
I completely agree Vinnie that he is going to lose the most when this is all over. Last time she walked away from him he lost his piece of mind and it destoyed his soul. This time around his mind, heart and soul are going to be broken/destoryed. I just hope this time round she treats him with compassion rather than shove her mangal sutra, sindoor, husband and happiness in his face at every opportunity.
