Thanks for the PM. Loved it. Khushi is trying to get along with Arnav.

Chapter 5

"Khushi I hope you are behaving with Arnav?"

She looked up and put her iphone on the side.

"Why do you say that dad?"

"I know you beta...you are messing with the wrong person THIS time. Arnav Singh Raizada is known as a ferocious and hard business man...so you should not push him like you push everyone else...there will be repercussions"

She began applying butter to her toast. She never watched what she ate. Somehow she was thin as a waif.

"Dad don't worry I don't treat him bad...I know Mr Raizada is an elite businessman...I am impressed with his professionalism".

"Good" Gupta sipped his tea and took a bun.

Khushi squinted her eyes and began taking a bite of her toast. Looking at her one could sense that if someone blew on her she would blow away but her aura and her unique self of carrying her persona insured she was seen as a dictator.

"Khushi...KHUSHI" Samita Devi shook her.

"Yes Ma..."

"What is cooking in that brain of yours" she asked knowing her child really well. She began pouring the tea from the teapot.

"Nothing Ma...absolutely nothing".

Khushi walked in wearing a red dress that went up to her knees. Pushing her hair aside she looked sternly at her workers who were gulping in fear. As she entered she saw a bunch of her staff were huddled together a bit further up.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?" She shouted and shrieked with it.

All the worker turned around and greeted her. Payal came running over to her agitated boss.

"Mam"

"Payal what is going on here?" she asked with her teeth gritted.

"Mam...ASR"

She put her hand up and saw Arnav standing behind with his chin tilted up and looking at her.

"I should have known that my office can only be disrupted because YOU are here"

"Mam he was just helping"

"Helping? With what making my staff waste their time?"

Payal looked down and looked at Arnav. She felt sorry for him.

He moved towards her and she looked at his defiant face.

"Ms Gupta...a deal was about to fall through and I had to guide them to ensure you don't lose out on a billon pound contract..we were working as a team".

He handed her some papers and she harshly grabbed them. Looking at them unbelievingly she looked at Arnav who was gloating at her AND hoping she would say sorry.

"PAYAL" she barked. "WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THIS DEAL?"

"Uh Mam Ranbir"

"FIRE HIM" she exploded.

"khushi..don't you think you are being harsh?" Arnav asked.

"My company is India's number one company..and anyone being complacent or careless like this will not be tolerated, UNDERSTAND? You better understand!"

She walked off to her cabin and Ranbir came near Payal.

"Madam can't you talk to Memsaab?"

"Sorry Ranbir you know how Mam is.."

"Ranbir don't worry..stay here...I will talk to her". Payal and Ranbir smiled like they had a ray of hope. Arnav looked angrily up at her cabin and began marching towards it.

Slamming the door open he barged in her room. Khushi who was sitting down pensively got up startled.

"How dare you come into my room!" she widened her eyes angrily.

"Ms Gupta give Ranbir his job back"

She got up and mocked him.

"Excuse me? " she shoved him back with her two hands.

"You are telling me what I should or shouldn't do?"

She shoved him back again. This time he grabbed her hands and pinned her near the wall.

"YES I AM! YOU GIVE HIS JOB BACK OR FIND YOURSELF ANOTHER PERSON TO HELP YOU"

Looking at him angrily she began feeling helpless in his grip.

"You think I will let him come back?" she twisted her hand to make him let go.

"It's your choice Gupta"

"LET GO OF ME" She shouted.

"SHUT UP" He barked back. She was taken aback. He could shout more fiercely than her.

"Khushi Kumari Gupta take him back otherwise I will do something I might regret"

He took her by the waist and pulled her close.

"You wouldn't dare!"

He pulled her hair and brought her close.

"Oh you bet I can! I can do more than this"

For the first time in her life she felt defeated. No man had dared to confront her like this. She looked at him shocked at his stance. His eyes all wide and his teeth gritted. As she was about to say something someone knocked on the door.

Arnav let go of her. She fixed her hair back.

"Come in"

As she looked towards the door. It was Ranbir.

"Mam thank you for everything..and sorry for my mistake"

She turned around and began fidgeting with her phone.

"Ranbir...go to my office RA Designs...speak to Akash..you will get the job". Said Arnav feeling sorry for the employee.

As Ranbir walked off Khushi called him.

"Ranbir there is no need to look for a job I re-instate you in your position...Payal tear the letter".

Payal looked at her Mam astonished. She had never seen her change her mind. Payal and Ranbir went out both feeling relieved.

Khushi sat down and swivelled her chair while she filed her nails. Arnav looked at her perplexed at her change of tune.

"Mr Arnav Singh Raizada...don't look too shocked...I only changed my mind because I know if I didn't you would have looked a hero and me the vamp...so...anyway I hope you remember tonight we got designers that need you to welcome them?"

Arnav gripped his fists and rolled his eyes.

"Okay Hitler Gupta"

She smirked feeling smug that she still got him dancing to her tunes.

Arnav bought Akash along to help him with all his welcome duties. He stood near the car park wearing a grey pin striped suit with a black shirt.

"Who would have thought bhai a girl would make you do this?" chuckled Akash.

"Shut up Akash I could kill her" he grits his teeth.

"Once I finish this project I will never ever see her, she p***es me off!"

As he was continuing his talks Akash noticed a lady dressed in a black fitted skirt and a white blouse with an entourage of 6 people. His mouth fell open with surprise. Khushi came and stood near Arnav.

"Hope all is going well Mr Raizada?" she kept a straight face.

He nodded angrily.

"Good!"

Akash noticed Payal and began looking at her. Payal began to feel shy. Khushi walked off.

"Damn bhai the Hitler is sexy"

Arnav looked at him weirdly.

"You find her sexy?" he pointed at Khushi.

"Well she is...but not my type...that girl next to her in purple.."

"Payal...that's her secretary..."

"Bhai if you don't mind I really like her...can I go...and you know..."

Arnav let out a smirk.

"Go on...and you better not let the Raizada name down".

"Thanks bhai" he hugged Arnav and left. He looked towards Khushi direction and thought. Her and sexy?

NEVER!

All was going smoothly till it began to rain heavily. Khushi noticed this and called Payal.

"Tell Mr Raizada to not come up till all the clients are here..no matter what!"

Payal tried to persuade her.

"But Mam it's raining"

"Just do as I say!" she quipped avoiding her suggestions.

Payal reluctantly went and told Arnav. He knew she was doing this on purpose. I rather stay here than work with that dragon he thought.

Mr Gupta turned up and saw Arnav drenched in the rain.

"Arnav beta why are you standing in the rain?" he asked concerned.

"Mr Gupta, I am greeting the designers..."

"But Son it's raining so heavily". His worker was holding his umbrella. Mr Gupta realised it was his niece that made him stand there. Annoyed he left Arnav and went straight to khushi.

"Khushi what is Arnav doing standing out there?"

"He is welcoming our clients"

"He is your partner in this project you could have got anyone to do it! You are doing this on purpose aren't you?"

"I don't know what you are saying dad" she refused to look him in his eyes.

"Khushi I want you to go and bring him in...now..."

That was it. She knew she had to do it. Her dad's order was like commandment for her. She took a breath in and walked off.

Arnav stood there combing his hair to take the dripping water out. Sometimes he rubbed his face. Suddenly a car began charging at him and he was grabbed away.

It was Khushi. She had pulled him away from the car that was about to run him over. She stood there looking concerned. He was lost and so was she. The rain remained falling on them. Suddenly Akash turned up.

"Bhai..." Khushi took two steps back.

Arnav angrily looked at her and turned into his ASR mode while she turned to her Hitler dictator mode.

"Bhai you will catch the cold..your clothes are all wet".

Payal came and looked at her boss and then at ASR.

"Sir Mr Gupta said to let you go home..." She stammered afraid Khushi might blast her.

Khushi could not say anything as her dad had overridden her. Arnav in a huff began making his way to his SUV.

He hated her.

She looked on at her opponent like she had won a battle.
