Sanaya Irani finds her partner in Varun in 'Modern Bahu'

New Delhi, Mar 11: The hunt for Sanaya Irani's husband role in the upcoming serial 'Modern Bahu' has finally come to an end. If rumours are to be believed, then Humse Hai Life fame Varun Kapoor has been finalised for the role.
The bubbly Khushi of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon ,Sanaya Irani will play the character of Chan Chan in the serial
The show is based on yesteryear film Khoobsurat, and Sanaya's character is based on the movie's actress Rekha.
The show will have khichdi actors Anang Desai and Supriya Pathak playing a couple.
TV actors like Anushree Bathla, Jimit Trivedi and Romanch Mehta are also likely to join the show.
Modern Bahu is produced by Optymistix and the show is scheduled to go on air around March 3rd week.
Now time will tell whether the show can repeat the success story of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon on TV.

Varun Kapoor Pairs up with Sanaya Irani for Chhanchhan
While the promos of the show are already on air, here's is a little scoop on the other actors and actresses of the show. Produced by Optimystix Production, the show will have the veteran actors like Anang Desai and Supriya Pathak playing a couple. TV actors like Anushree Bathla, Jimit Trivedi and Romanch Mehta are also likely to join the show.
As per sources, Anushree Bathla will essay the role of one of the bahus of Anang Desai and Supriya Pathak, whereas Jimit Trivedi, last seen in Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum, and Romanch Mehta, currently seen in Colors' Durga, will play the sons. Actor Romanch Mehta tells a daily, "Yes, I am doing the show and I will play the role of the main lead's elder brother."
Now all eyes are on Varun Kapoor, who is as good-looking as Sanaya's former co-actorBarun Sobti, with whom she had a sizzling on-screen chemistry in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. So, it would be interesting to see how Sanaya and Varun's pair looks on TV. Thus, expectations are quite high from Varun Kapoor.
Varun already had an experience of playing the romantic lead in Na Aana Is Des Laado. Also, let us tell you that this cute-looking hunk enjoys being a lover boy on-screen. Thus, can't wait to see the magical romance between Sanaya and Varun in Modern Bahu.
In this new show, Sanaya Irani will be seen as a vivacious girl with modern values. It's said that her character is based on Rekha from the movie Khoobsurat.

Few more names join the cast of Modern Bahoo

Media has been flooded with reports about Optimystix Production's new show Modern Bahoo. The list of actors finalized to be a part of the show seems to be never ending and the latest actors to join the cast are Charu Asopa, Arshima Thapar and Neha Sehgal. Sources inform that Charu who is currently seen in Baal Veer, Arshima Thapar who played Sakshi Tanwar's friend in
Bade Achhe Lagte Hain and Neha Sehgal currently seen in
Pavitra Rishta will play the lead actress Sanaya Irani (Chanchan)'s best friends. They will all be part of a girls gang and Sanaya's friend. Tentatively titled Modern Bahu stars Sanaya Irani in the lead and is loosely inspired from Rekha and Rakesh Roshan starrer Bollywood film Khoobsurat.
When contacted, Charu said, "Yes, I've being approached for the show but I can't comment at this point of time."

Jayneeraj Raj Purohit in Modern Bahoo

TV actor Jayneeraj Raj Purohit, who is currently seen in Colors Balika Vadhu as Shiv's ( Siddharth Shukla) father has bagged another important role in Optimystix Production's Chan Chan which was earlier tentatively titled as Modern Bahoo. Sources inform that Jayneeraj who also did a small role in Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal's Bollywood film
Oh My God will play the role of Sanaya Irani aka Chanchan's father in the upcoming show. He will belong to an upper middle class family, a very supportive and positive person in nature. He is really proud of his daughters and painting is his hobby.
When contacted, Jayneeraj said, "Yes, I am doing the show and it's a very interesting character. I have already started shooting and I am really looking forward to the show."
The show will go on-air from 25 March 2013 on Sony Entertainment Television.
