Wireless router? Can some one explain?

Kumud and her family went to some other place for video conference with Saras. Then how was Saras able to have video conference with his doctor in Dubai using wireless connection. Can anyone explain, how they have wireless router hit their house, when they don't even have desktop/laptop at home? Was he using Bluetooth to connect to hotspot?
