The vegetarian actors in Left Right Left were forced to swallow raw eggs for a particular shot

In their bid to be realistic, the director and the crew of Sony-Sab's Left Right Left is leaving no stone unturned. More recently, vegetarian actors were made to consume raw eggs in milk (egg nog) to make a particular shot look realistic. The shot had Rajesh Khera (Major Bhargava) inflicting punishment on his unit by making them drink egg nog.

Director Anusham Kishore Singh says, "Yes the entry of Rajesh Khera as the strict new Major has brought in many changes in the serial and we are trying to make the depictions very realistic. The first change that he brings about in the serial is he makes the cadets take a hair cut. Then he makes them carry cycles and walk on the mountains. Finally as a disciplinary punishment, he makes all of them including the vegetarian girls to take raw eggs with milk. We wanted it to look as real as possible and so all of them had to drink egg nog. Some of them did not want to be part of the scene for religious and other reasons, but we convinced them otherwise. All of them puked after the scene, but we got an authentic shot."

One such actor was Harshad Chopra who is a Jain but had to consume four eggs due to the retakes. Ghazal Rai too drink an egg only to throw up after the shot was canned. Arjun Bijlani is a non-vegetarian, but even he could not handle drinking egg nog.

Harshad says, "I am a Jain and although I complied with the directors' instructions, I freaked out. I could not believe I had successfully done the scene with four retakes. I started vomiting immediately. I thought I would never be able to execute the scene, but after watching Priyanka, Pooja and Arjun, I was motivated."

Arjun voiced a similar opinion, "I am a non-vegetarian but the taste was revolting. I was glad when the scene finally drew to an end. I wish I don't have to do this ever again in my career span."

Finally, the man behind this Rajesh Khera says, "Why not? I am shown as a strict disciplinarian and I had to do it as per the director instructed. I agree that some of them were uncomfortable but at the end of the day, it went on quite fine."

Ewww...even I hate the smell out raw egg even a boiled egg 😡.... Omlet too 🤢 .. but hats off to the crew and particularly those who are veg

ya they must have some guts inorder to swallow raw eggs n i feel bad for harshad i no it must ahve been tough being a vegetarian n jain to top it off. i hate the smell of eggnog people at my work bring it there n i must say the smell is horrible let alone the taste.

I once commented in a post that there should at least one more teacher to make the drama authentic and interesting.
