Well I suppose it's because the doctor seemed to think he was and now in today's she has no problems calling herself his wife. I haven't seen the actual episode to know if she knows that she really isn't his wife but people seem to think so OR if she genuinely believes she is his wife. Either way, she doesn't have a problem.
So for the sake of her "sanity" poor TVS will go along with the idea of being her husband until she regains her memory.
