Romance is perhaps her middle name and it has become synonymous to 4 Lions Films shows. Gul Khan is the lady who has brought in romance on Indian Television in a style that is downright dreamy. The immensely popular jodis that the audience fell in love with were created by Ms Khan. The popular pairs of Arnav-Khushi, Maan-Geet and the most recent one being Asad -Zoya. She has given us romantic couples that one would either want in one's life or see the one we have in our life in a new light. All this because each and every female who watches these shows somewhere believe that there is a part of them in Khushi, Geet or Zoya. Be it the way they call out to God in their dire straits, tell the men off without a qualm or just be this girl next door who is all sunshine and light.

Gul has created shows that have made the audience want to fall in love. That has been her magic. In each project of 4 Lions Films, whether as solo producer or in a joint venture, romance has played an important part. In Geet ' Hui Sabse Parayi a joint venture with Endemol, they portrayed love through a relationship that was based on acceptance. In Humse Hai Life, their first solo production, they had love that was based in school setting with love that went beyond just romance, it was love for a sport. In Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, with Panglosean Entertainment, love and romance was dealt with emotions of abandonment and love for a sister. Suvreen Guggal ' Topper of the Year, co-produced with Fable Tree Pictures, is a story of a young girl's journey in finding herself. Love that means letting go and pursuing one's ambition, true calling. In Arjun ' Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek, a crime thriller has space for romance in love that is lost. The latest fare from 4 Lions Films stable, Qubool Hai, is a love story that spans generations from father to son. One believes in sacrifice while other believes in denial.

Gul Khan has been at the helm of sketching each and every character with her writers and creative team in each of the shows. With Qubool Hai, she has gone back to her other love, Direction. Apart from writing the concept and yes we have seen her writing screenplays and scenes for her shows, she manages the team from production perspective as well. This multi-talented lady of course has support from her partners; Gorky who is her husband and Nissar Parvez who is her brother. The most oft heard joke is that with these three lions who is the fourth one that makes 4 Lions Films. The answer is their creativity.
