When Aishwarya Rai arrived at a five-star hotel for the music launch of Mani Ratnam's Guru, the air was already abuzz with talk of her impending marriage to Abhishek Bachchan. That she arrived in the same car as Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan, only emphasised the Bachchan family's acceptance of her. According to our source, since the actress is busy with dress rehearsals for Ashutosh's film Akbar Jodha, she requested Abhishek to pick her up from her residence. "Ash was surprised to find Amitabh Bachchan in the car," says our source.

A Bollywood actor and a close friend of Abhishek reveals, "The marriage is definitely on. They might behave like it's not, but this time both families are serious about the marriage. Early next year, the Bachchans are expected to make a formal announcement." Aishwarya and her family are invited for all family events at the Bachchan residence nowadays.

thats not bashing, she just stated her opinion. It wasnt offensive at all, nor it wil make people fight. so can we please go easy on people

This whole Abhi & Ash marriage thing could be very true. Ash is certainly flashing a fancy diamond ring on her engagement finger. Maybe this time around though, Big B and the Mrs want to keep everything under wraps because of what happened following the public engagement of Abhi to Karishma. I guess once bitten, twice shy.

Pa & Ma B don't want to jinx anything for Baby B this time, till it actually happens. Maybe they should call Madhuri Dixit Nene and get some tips on how to pull this off on the quiet like she did. So folks just set this speculation on the back burner. Things will all come to light in a couple of weeks. 😉

Apparently,Rani and SRK landed together for the Paheli premiere....

But Ash being the reticent person she is,I wonder how she would let just a "friend" get so close tht she asks him to pick her up....She never lets friends get too close to her....I know the weightiest proof is around,but still I dont think they are dating 😕 ...Ash has so many projects in the offing,and if she marries,she would have to hang her boots...I dont think Jaya Bachchan would like her bahu to be globe trotting 😕

u do have a point there... actually i have never seen ash that close to any of her costars either.... but shes so close to abhishek, even then she calls him just a friend ... then again they do have a lot of movies together from now on... maybe it is a publicity stunt... sumtimes i think that cuz abhishek is a rising star \so cuz of that ash is trying to become a close friend of abhishek, maybe for publicity. 😕
