Confused and Convoluted Love: Bloody Ishq (2013) Hindi Film Review, Story, Trailer, Wallpaper on WBRi

Sun, 03/03/2013 - 18:54

Kolkata, March 3, 2013 (Wasington Bangla Radio): Bloody Ishq revolves around the life of Nirvaan Shroff (Akash Singh) who is a singer by profession. He is immensely popular among the people and has a lot of female fan following. In the course of the film, he saves the life of a rich young girl Natasha (Tripta Parashar). This makes Natasha fall in love with Nirvaan. However Nirvaan is seen negating the advances made by Natasha. This further increases the appeal of Nirvaan in Natasha's eyes. Later it is revealed that this is a game Nirvaan is playing to trap Natasha in the love game. However there is more to this story than what is been told here.

In a background tale it is revealed that Nirvaan is married secretly to a girl named Raadhika (Shilpa Anand). However they cannot have any conjugal relation between them as Raadhika has a hole in her heart and this prevents them from having sex. In one scene in the movie, when Nirvaan and Raadhika try to have sex, she gets too excited and ends up in the hospital bed. It is then that Nirvaan promises to Raadhika to have her a heart transplantation. The film with the love triangle and the sudden twist of organ trafficking is very confusing in its premise. Too much twists in the tale though tends audience to lose their way.

The script is weak and the script writer, Aroti Bhattacharya has only paid great attention in adding the thrill element in this film. She could have paid more attention in making the climax better and adding plot constructing elements to make the film more grasping.

The songs in the film are passable and nothing outstanding as eminent singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Javed Ali, June Banerjee, Sunidhi Chauhan and KK have lent voices for the songs of this film.

Performance wise Akash Singh as Nirvaan is good as the popular singer. But he occasionally falters in the emotional scenes. Tripta Parashar as Natasha does nothing more than showcasing herself as a spoilt daughter of a rich man and flaunts body baring clothes. The biggest shock comes in the form of Shilpa Anand who is portraying the role of Raadhika in the film. The actress who had earlier done many television serials like Dil Maange More does not do justice to her role. She is a huge disappointment. The audiences who have seen her perform better in her television serials will be highly unsatisfied with her portrayal of the role of Raadhika.

What do you call a movie which has a Promising start, Attractive Songs and Eye-Catching promotions but fails to entertain or enlighten you with the story? Plus you also witness some Performances (Especially Tripta Parashar) which can be easily termed as the worst performances in the history of Indian Cinema. Yes! Bloody Isshq is the perfect set example here.

Natasha (Tripta Parashar) is multimillionaire in Bangkok who meets with an accident which is life-threatening. Enter Nirvaan Shroff (Akash) who saves Natasha from the accident but his attitude and the rough around the edges persona attracts her to him.

But Nirvaan is not the one to be taken in easily. And he is surely not behind Natasha's money (At least, That's what he keeps repeating in the film in every new scene), He even burns the expensive car in a "Laadla-Sridevi" style which is gifted to him by Natasha.

A wager from her friend starts the game of seduction between Natasha and Nirvaan. But what unfolds is something that even Natasha had not thought of. She actually falls for him, not knowing the fact that Nirvaan is married to Radhika (Shilpa Anand) who is staying in Pattaya and going through a serious surgery.

Natasha's uncle Vikram Rathod (Mukesh Tiwari) is cop who suspects Nirvaan and his ambitions. Natasha often refers him as Mama/Mamu (In a way which is sure to make you laugh your lungs out). What happens next and what Nirvaan does is what forms the finale of Bloody Isshq.

Akash debuts in Bollywood through this film. His father Kunal Singh (Who is also the producer of this film) is considered to be an icon of Bhojpuri Cinema. It looks like Akash was sort of 'Over-Confident' while shooting this film. What do you call an actor who has no expressions at all on his face and when he cries (In a Scene), You actually end up laughing?

Ditto Tripta Parashar, A 'Wannabe' Priyanka Chopra and Aishwarya Rai. There is a scene in the film where Nirvaan is leaving her forever and she stops him to convince that she actually loves him.

The way she is convincing him will again make you laugh out loud. Tripta, In a way provides a lot of comical elements in the movie with her worst acting skills. She neither looks seductive nor domineering (As per the character). In short, Doesn't fit the bill and must take some serious good acting lessons.

It was really a surprise to see a very talented actress like Shilpa Anand in a very small role of Raadhika (Nirvaan's wife). On a serious note, Shilpa Anand is an actress to look out for.

According to me, It's Shilpa who steals the show and walks away with the Cake. The makers should have cast Shilpa Anand in the role of Natasha (Which was originally performed by bad acting 'Legend' Tripta Parashar). Mukesh Tiwari acts well in a small but a Brief role.

Director Arup Dutta chose a wrong script (Aroti Bhattacharya) this time. At one point of the time, The screenplay confuses you so much that you feel you are being taken for a Ride. Someone said Arup Dutta is the same director who made 'Morning Walk'.

From my point of view, Arup Dutta must start taking some Long Walks. Cinematography of the film is good and eye-catching. Music of the film is very good. But the moment you watch the songs on the screen, You feel a big let-down.

There are many such articles of her praises 😳

Shilpa Anand - This beautiful lady has done a fabulous job her beauty and acting skills are just ''PERFECT''. She is playing the character of Raadhika (Akash Singh's wife). She is in a very small role but still she stole the show. She is an actress to look out for. All i can say about this gorgeous actress is She is here to stay.

About Movie:- Bloddy Isshqis a 2013 Bollywood Romantic Suspense Drama film.

Movie Review:- Natasha ( Tripta Parashar) is a rich brat who gets attracted to Nirvaan ( Akash) after he saves her life. Nirvaan however disregards Natasha's advances, thus making her further attracted to him. After playing the seduction game, the two finally get together but there's a trap. There is more to Nirvaan than meets the eye. In his back-story, we are introduced to Radhika ( Shilpa Anand) who essays another significant role in the film. The mystery behind Nirvaan's motive and Radhika's presence in his life unfold as the story progresses.

Direction, Performance and Music:- The film has decent production values and good songs but weak performances. The acting even leads to unintentional humour in a few scenes. The story with its twists and turns seems interesting initially but becomes way too far-fetched to keep you engaged. The only good thing about the movie is the role of Shilpa Anand. She played a very tiny character yet she was fabulous. She will go a long way from here and she deserves better scripts in the future. Mukesh Tiwari acts really well in a small but a Brief role.He is a known face and has given his 100 percent.
