Chapter Fifteen
Kripa yawned tiredly walking down the hallway of her classroom. She had barely slept a wink last night, by the time she did, it was time to get up. A light frown covered her forehead as she thought back to the time it took to cover up the dark circles around her eyes. She couldn't last like this for much longer. Her depression was becoming more visible by the day.
A sad smile made its way to her lips. How did she ever expect herself to forget Angad if she carried on this way? he was always on her mind, always around somehow.
She had watched him secretly for the past two weeks. His usually cheerful demeanour had disappeared and she was not the only one who noticed. She had heard the staff whisper amongst themselves, wondering whatever had happened to one of their liveliest members.
Their curiosities, there sympathies made her feel all the more guilty. She knew she was responsible; she should have never led him on. She couldn't help but curse herself. She didn't know what to do, who to talk to. It was just too heart-breaking.
There were a lot of people ready to listen to her, to help her but she had to do this alone. She had to be strong and move on. Things wouldn't --"Oomph" she grunted walking into a chiselled muscular chest, her books falling from the impact "I'm so sorry" she apologized cursing herself for her absent mindedness. She knelt to ground, gathering her fallen books silently cursing herself.
"Sorry for what sweetheart, it's my pleasure" Angad replied mischievously kneeling besides her.
Her breathe hitched in her throat, eyes widening as they lifted to see his smiling face "A-An-Angad"
His smiling lips faltered into a soft smile, feeling what she felt. It had been so many days since he'd been this close to her. Her brimming eyes and quivering lip told him exactly how she felt, how much she had missed him and he was glad. He was happy he wasn't the only one.
Kripa's lips quivered staring into his gleaming eyes. He looked so happy and relieved after so many days. She really did miss him. She missed his quirky grin, mischief filled eyes. She'd never met anyone so full of life, so cheerful. He made her heart soar every time he was close but now things would have to change, she thought as realization dawned upon her. Things were never going to be the same.
Gulping she looked down, avoiding his loving gaze. She needed to get away him as soon as possible, she could feel her heart melting into a puddle but she couldn't let that happen. Not now, not ever she thought sadly.
"How are you Kripa?" she heard him ask softly, gazing at her affectionately.
Ignoring his words she moved forward to gather her books and papers, but gasped when he held her hands down. Her eyes lifted to his, glaring at him "let go of my hand right now" she demanded trying to pull away. She frowned when his grip only tightened "let go Angad"
"No" he answered shortly, enjoying her cute muddled expressions.
"What do you mean no? Let go" she argued pulling back once again
"No means no" he said pulling her against him
"Angad" she murmured staring at him helplessly "please don't do this"
"Don't do what" he mumbled pressing his nose to her forehead "this is how its supposed to be"
Her throat suddenly felt parched and she felt heavy headed. What was he doing? Why was he doing all this? Couldn't he see how much this hurt, how much it hurt knowing things couldn't be the way he wanted, the way she wanted! "Leave me" she whispered once again.
"I can't" he whispered pressing silent kisses to her head "I can't leave you" he pulled back still holding her upper arms "I really meant it when I said I loved you Kripa"
"I know" she cried "I know Angad but I really meant it when I told you I'm getting married"
His grip loosened momentarily, recalling the painful moment when she had told him the same words. He looked down at her lowered head and smiled. No matter how much she told him he still knew her heart belonged to him. He stood up suddenly lifting her books with him.
She stood up gradually realizing he had left her. Her hands reached to take her books from him but he lifted his hand in the air, out of her reach "Angad, stop it" she scolded "give my books back"
He smirked pulling her close with his free hand "I like you this close" he mumbled pressing a kiss to her temples.
"This is stupid Angad" she complained pushing against his chest
"No Kripa what you're doing is stupid" he retaliated "I know you love me, you know I love you, let's be civilised about it and talk to your dad" he ended softly
"You think I didn't try" she cried "I did, I did but he didn't listen"
"I'm sure there's a way to work around it. He can't be so heartless, give me a chance"
"No Angad" she said pulling away "this needs to finish right here. I'm getting married"
"We're not finished Kripa" he retorted through growing anger "Yes, you are getting married but you're getting married to me no matter what happens"
"Angad this is not the time to be childish" she argued "You know it's not possible so leave this issue right here and give me my books back"
He sighed giving her books back. Persuading her would take more time than he realized. Before she could leave he caught her arm "I love you Kripa and I intend on making you my wife, come what may" he declared before releasing her.
She watched him helplessly as he ambled away with his ultimatum.

Kripa huffed walking into the toilets. Angad had been on the chase all day. She had bumped into a three times that's day and every time, his words, his actions surprised her. He was back to normal, lively as always and full of mischief. Wasn't this what she wanted?
Stamping her hands on the basin, she looked at herself in the mirror. Was this really going to happen? Was he really going to me make this harder for her? Couldn't he see how hard this already was? She watched the tears fill her sad eyes, while her lips trembled.
She didn't know what to do anymore. She felt suffocated. She felt trapped. How could she relieve her heart of all the pain she felt. On one side her father was adamant on getting her married to Nikhil and on the other, Angad had decided to marry her no matter what. It wasn't as easy as Angad thought.
If she listened to him she would be breaking her parents trust, there heart. No matter how much she loved Angad, the daughter inside her would never allow her to do such a thing. Things would never be the same with her parents but she still couldn't bring herself to go against them.
"Kripa" she heard Maya call in worry.
She looked up at her reflection and found Maya staring at her with concern. Quickly wiping her eyes she turned around, embarrassed "Dadi" she mumbled
"What's wrong Kripa?" Maya asked walking closer "Are you okay? Did someone say something to you?"
She shook her head looking at the ground "I'm fine Dadi, nothing's wrong, see" she said finally lifting her head, smiling a wide fake smile.
"Kripa" Maya murmured encouragingly "sometimes it's better to let it out than hiding it"
"Dadi" she whispered embracing her. She could feel the tears coming back. She really didn't want to cry but she couldn't help herself, no matter how much she cried, the tears still seemed to appear from somewhere "I don't know what to do anymore Dadi" she mumbled between tears "I don't have the strength to do this anymore"
Maya pulled back watching her in confusion. She had no idea what she was talking about but right now Kripa needed a shoulder and she was going to be that shoulder. Wiping the tears from her wet cheeks Maya took her hand "come with me Kripa, let's go somewhere else. Sit down, relax then tell me what happened"
Kripa looked up in fear "No Dadi, someone will see. I don't want anyone to see me like this" she said wiping her red eyes.
"No one will see us kripa, come on" Maya said pulling her along. Maya managed to get kripa to her office and sat her down. She offered her a glass of water then sat next to her "now tell me, what happened? I've been watching you for a couple of days now. First you fainted at school and ever since you've just not been the same. What's bothering you sweetheart?" Maya asked stroking her head.
Kripa sat silently, sniffling for minutes then finally uttered "I'm getting married"
"Oh" Maya uttered surprised "ermm, if you don't mind me asking who are you getting married to?"
She shrugged in response leaning on Maya's shoulder "he's Dads friends' son"
"Have you told your parents how you feel about this wedding?"
"They know everything" she whispered wiping her wet cheeks "and what makes it worse is that although they know they don't care"
Maya sighed watching her wipe her tears constantly like a little girl "Kripa, stop crying sweetheart. Shhh" she consoled stroking her head. Nodding, she lifted her head off her shoulder but sobbed louder, dropping her head onto the desk "Oh Kripa, I wish I could help you"
"I don't know what to do Dadi" she said between sobs "On one side Dad's fixed my marriage and now Angad's decided to be heroic all of a sudden. He just doesn't understand. He thinks things will work his way, but they won't. I've tried and it didn't."
"So you did eventually fall in love with Angad?" Maya stated stroking her head with a hint of a smile. Kripa nodded silently wiping her eyes yet again. She had always felt Angad and Kripa's mutual attraction and wished them well but things were going far from well. Although the two had finally accepted their feelings, it seemed destiny had other things in store for them.
"What has your father said about him? I mean I know he can be cheeky but otherwise he's a very civilised and charming young man. He earns well, he settled. I don't really see a problem"
"I don't know Dadi. He—he just found out I'm in love with Angad and he didn't want to hear anything else. What hurts the most is he didn't even give Angad a chance. He wasn't ready to listen to me at all" she paused holding her head "and yet I don't want to break his heart. I can't go against him" she ended whispering
"Oh Kripa" Maya mumbled sympathetically. She stood from her seat and hugged kripa to her chest "I wish I could do something for you. I can't say I understand completely but I feel your pain" she watched helplessly as kripa sobbed into her chest "Kripa listen to me sweetheart" she said cupping her face "If there is anything I can do for you, anything at all tell me. If you want I can talk to Angad and—"
"No Dadi" Kripa interrupted shaking her head "please don't tell him. If he finds out I was crying again he's going me this bigger than it already is and I don't have the strength to bear any more than this" she cried "I don't want him to see this side of me. I—I can't let him see me like this"
"Oh Kripa" Maya whispered compassionately "I'll pray that your father understands for your sake" she mumbled pressing a kiss to her head, looking down sympathetically at the frazzled soul.
"Gauri, separate the curry for Vivaan, he can't have spices" Madhu said walking into the kitchen.
"Don't worry Mom, I've already done that" she replied smiling "Mom I was thinking since there's so many carrots at home I should make Gajar ka halwa"
Madhu smiled softly joining Gauri at the kitchen table "that's a good idea, its Angad's favourite. His been in such a bad mood lately, it will probably cheer him up"
"You noticed as well mom" Gauri exclaimed placing her knife on her cutting board. She sighed watching her mother in law nod with the beginning of a frown "You know it's been ten years since I've been married but I've never seen Angad look so angry and frustrated. He's always been such a jolly person"
"I know Gauri, I've never seen him look so dull, it almost feels as if he's lost something important. I know he enjoys work as well so I can't seem to figure what has got him so stressed. I just don't understand why he's been so cranky lately"
"You know what mom; I think he needs to settle down" Gauri suggested smiling
"Settle down?" Madhu repeated confused
"Yes mom, he needs to get married. That's probably what it is. Men get grumpy and grouchy, they just need someone to listen to them, console them after a long day and I think that's what he's looking for"
"You could be right Gauri, he is old enough. He's got a good job and is settled well. Now's a good time to get him married. I remember Pratham was very much like him before we got him married off" she said recalling her eldest son's days of petulance "I'll talk to Vivaan tonight"
Aliya sighed walking into the kitchen. She had been at the door step when Gauri had talked about his marriage and she was right. He did want to get married, but for now the bride's parents were the problem!
She felt bad for Angad. She had always seen him spread a cheerful ambience; the change in his attitude was drastically noticeable. He had grown quiet and rather frustrated. He snapped at the slightest things.
She was rather surprised when Shabbir told her Angad was in love with kripa. She had never expected it with their constant quarrelling. But now that she thought about it, it made perfect sense. The constant teasing, his amorous behaviour, her defensiveness, it all made sense.
For Angad's sake she hoped everything would fall in place. He may be the middle child but he had always been a favourite in the house for his lively demeanour and right now everyone missed that.
Angad sighed walking into the staffroom. He really enjoyed teaching but sometimes the children could be quite a handful. He felt tired and somewhat exhausted after a fun filled session of music.
He had never felt tired teaching, he was always ready for another bout of excitement. He knew very well what it was that was bothering him, he thought walking to his cupboard. It was Kripa. Although he had promised himself to get kripa back, he felt dejected every time she walked passed without acknowledging him, he was hurt when she kept denying her feelings for him, he felt ignored every time she stole her eyes from his. He was trying his best to keep his spirits up but it was hard sometimes. It was hard to hide his breaking heart.
Sometimes he felt foolish running behind her. She hadn't ever told him she loved him, it was something he had always assumed. Her smile, her twinkling eyes, her blushing cheeks told him she loved him but he'd never actually heard her say those three words.
He craned his neck to look back at the sound of the staffroom door squeaking open. The subject of his thoughts walked in with Mukti and Geet. His glum expression changed to jollity "Hello ladies" he greeted leaning against his cupboard.
"Hi Angad" Mukti and Geet greeted walking straight to their own lockers
She hadn't even turned to look at him he thought grimacing. He watched her while she stood next to him fidgeting with her cupboard, avoiding his longing glances.
He clenched his teeth watching her continuous ignorance. Irritated, he moved forward grabbing hold of her fidgeting hands.
She gasped looking up. His lips finally lifted into a soft smile at her frazzled reaction "leave me" she whispered glancing back at Geet and Mukti.
"Stop avoiding me then" he fired back
"I'm not avoiding you" she mumbled looking away
"Look at me Kripa" he muttered holding her face
She pouted glaring at him "You can't force---
"You guys, join us for lunch today" Geet exclaimed turning away from her locker. She watched the two confused "are you two okay?" she asked watching their troubled expressions
"We're fine" kripa replied eagerly distancing herself from Angad.
Angad smiled at her sudden cover up giving her a knowing smile. No matter how much she tried covering up, he knew how she felt and he would have those three words out of her soon, he thought recalling his thoughts moments ago.

"Come on then both of you" Geet exclaimed pulling them towards a cosy corner in the staffroom.
"Geet honestly I'm not hungry" Kripa reasoned, hoping to avoid lunch with Angad
"Of course your hungry Kripa, stop making excuses. You're having lunch. Come on" Geet argued sitting her down on the Sofa "Angad why are you still standing!" she scolded unpacking her lunchbox "come join us"
"Just lunch Geet, not a date" he teased, winking playfully. He smirked watching Kripa's forehead crease.
Kripa frowned at his flirting words. Moments ago he was holding her asking her why she was avoiding him and here he was flirting with Geet. She looked up and found him smirking knowing very well she was jealous. Her cheeks coloured at being caught. He knew her too well and she resented him for that
"Have some shame boy. She's married now" Mukti said plopping next Geet "Maan won't be too happy about your so called date"
"Then who do you want me to ask, you!" he teased sitting beside Kripa.
Kripa sighed knowing very well why he sat next to her. He was really starting to get on her nerves.
"Sorry Angad" Mukti retorted flashing her ring "I'm taken"
"I know, I know" he mumbled unpacking his lunch "What can I say, you ladies love breaking my heart" he said hovering close to kripa. She turned away knowing exactly what he was hinting.
"Then find someone who's not already taken" Geet retorted glancing at Angad and Kripa.
She had seen their love blossom in this very staffroom but the pass few days had told a completely different story. They had avoided each other like a plague for two week. Angad had turned extremely quiet and Kripa was no different. It was like the smile had lost its way to their lips.
Recently there had been a different spark between the two. Kripa still avoided him but Angad seemed quite the opposite. He always seemed to hover around like before but with a strong, almost passionate intensity.
"I have an option but she doesn't give me yes for an answer" Angad sulked gazing at Kripa amorously "Hmmm Kripa, what do you say, would you date me?"
Two weeks ago she would have blushed, feeling bashful at his playful flirting but today it made her blood boil. Why was he doing this? Couldn't he just leave her alone? Leave her to cope with her broken heart
Mukti and Geet laughed in response catching on his teasing tone "come on kripa answer up" Mukti encouraged
Kripa looked up giving Angad a dirty look while he smirked "Come on Kripa, will you date me?"
"No" she retorted moving away
"And what if I say you have to date me" Angad retaliated enjoying her growing feistiness
"I don't care what you say or do, I won't date you" she exclaimed glaring at him
"You know what" Angad said taking her hands into his "your just in denial"
She gasped looking at there joined hands, then flushed in anger pulling them away "No I'm not, you are. This is the real world Angad Khanna and in the real world, it's never going to happen" she said loud and clear
Geet and Mukti watched the two in amusement. They both knew the two were strongly attracted to each other but the feistiness never seemed to go.
"Oh don't you worry about that" he murmured "I'll show you reality and it will be just the two of us up close!" he declared, challenging her with his eyes.
"Kavya, what are you doing? You've made such a mess. Your never this messy" Anjali said picking up yet another one of his shirts from the floor. Kavya frowned in response, rolling his eyes in annoyance.
"Don't roll your eyes at me" she scolded taking note of the huge frown plastering his face. She huffed plopping next to him "What's wrong? Why are you so grumpy?" she asked resting her head against his shoulder.
He sighed leaning his head back. He sat silently gazing at the ceiling in deep thought while Anjali continued to tap her fingers against his chest "Kavya" she mumbled pressing her lips to his throat "What's wrong Jaan?"
He lowered his gaze, looking into her shining eyes "Same thing that's been bothering me for the past two weeks" he mumbled looking down seriously.
"Hmmm" Anjali hummed "I know its bothering you. Everything seems so different, so quiet. But what's the point of pondering over it" his frown deepened, his lips pursing "you know I'm just as upset as you are Kavya, Angad's my brother after all. I'm hurt uncle didn't give my brother a chance but there's no point thinking about it unless we do something about it"
"Your absolutely right Bhabi" Sagar said from the doorway
"Oh" Anjali mumbled sitting up straight, embarrassed.
"Sorry Bhabi" Sagar apologized smiling slightly
"It's okay Sagar"
He walked in plopping down in front of the disturbed couple "Bhabi's right Bhai, we should really do something" Sagar stated
"What are we supposed to do Sagar!" Kavya snapped "Kripa's accepted all of this herself, then how the hell can we do anything, huh?" he questioned
"Well you won't be able to do anything if you sit here like a grumpy old man" Anjali retorted, glaring at him. He pouted leaning back "You know that's the problem with you men"
"Hey" Sagar protested
She rolled her eyes in response "As offended as you both might be, it's true. All you've been doing is sitting here and getting frustrated. What's the point of getting angry? Either get up and do something about it or let things go with the flow"
"Well what am I supposed to do Anju? Kripa's accepted everything, so on what basis can we go and protest? Huh, tell me how can I support her? How am I supposed to help her if she's already given up!"
"She hasn't given up Kavya" Anjali mumbled rubbing his shoulder in comfort "she wouldn't cry, wouldn't be upset if she had given up. She still loves Angad, it's obvious with her behaviour. She hasn't given up, she's just lost her strength and both of you" she said pointing to their chests "need to stand up for her, make her strong again"
Sagar nodded with a watery smile "I never thought a day would come where I'd be crying for Kripa Di" he mumbled wiping his wet eyes
Her lips lifted into a soft smile "this is exactly what she needs. She needs your love and affection, that's all"
Kavya sighed "My love and affection will always be there for her Anju but what can we do to make this situation better?"
"Have any of spoken to Angad?" Sagar asked suddenly
"No, not really" Kavya muttered "I wouldn't even know what to say" his eyes moved to Anjali's lowered gaze "Anju, have you?"
She shrugged looking up "Not exactly, I don't have the courage to speak to him directly but I called Aliya" she said fiddling with her fingers "and Mom called the other day. Both of them are worried and were complaining about his sudden change in behaviour. He's become very quiet and short-tempered lately"
"Well then that's it" Sagar exclaimed watching the two "the first thing we need to do is talk to Angad. We need to know how he feels"
"I just told you how he's feeling" Anjali replied "he's been quiet which is so not like him and---"
"I know Bhabi, I know" he interrupted "What we need to know is what he's willing to do for Kripa di" Sagar finished mysteriously while Kavya and Anjali stared at him bewilderment.
"Chachu" Sahil cried walking into Angad's room.
Angad looked up from his notes to find Sahil approaching him, arms crossed, lips quivering "What's up Champ?" Angad asked sitting up "What's with the face and why are you still in your school uniform?"
"Abhi won the poetry contest at school today"
"So, that's a good thing right?" Angad replied confused
"No Chachu" Sahil cried "I was supposed to win. You didn't help me this time"
Angad sighed pulling Sahil into his lap "Sorry you didn't win champ but Abhi winning isn't bad either. He's your friend right?"
Sahil shook his head in stubbornness then nodded in confusion
Angad chuckled in response "Listen Sahil, you can't win every time, that's not how it works and anyways, you need to start working alone, I can't help you every time, you need to show me you can do poetry all alone. If I keep helping you, then how is it just your work, hmmm" Angad said raising his brows comically
Sahil pouted but hummed in understanding "Chachu I don't like it when you get angry" Sahil complained after moments of silence
His smiled softened while his arms tightened around his nephew "I know bacha, I know and I'm sorry. Your Chachu's just been busy with other things"
"Yeah right Bhai" Aliya said walking into his room with Anjali "You've been moping around like a lost puppy"
He rolled his eyes in response releasing Sahil from his arms
"Sahil, go down, your Moms calling you" Anjali said ushering him out. He nodded running out of the room.
Angad sighed sitting up straight up. His sisters sat beside him "So?" Angad asked "Why are you two sitting here acting like someone died?" Angad joked after moments of silence.
Anjali turned towards him, taking his hands "You okay?" she asked looking him straight in his eyes.
He avoided her gaze turning away "Of course I am. What's wrong with me?" he answered gleefully.
"Oh come on Bhai" Aliya blurted "You know what Anju Di's talking about? We know you're in love with Kripa"
"Well before we discuss my love life, I think you need to tell us about yours" Angad retorted, glowering.
"Huh" Anjali looked at the two dumbfounded "Aliya's love life? Aliya, what's going on?"
A rosy hue covered her cheeks while her teeth came down to bite down on her lip anxiously "I don't know what you're talking about" she denied
"Oh, oh really" Angad retaliated "so what is all that I heard about you and Shabbir?"
"Shabbir!" Anjali exclaimed "You mean your friend Shabbir?"
Angad nodded in response, watching Aliya with narrowed eyes.
"Say something Aliya" Anjali exclaimed panicked
Aliya huffed staring at the two with a frown "Fine, I'm in love with Shabbir" she confessed "Stop looking so shocked Anju Di" she exclaimed irritated
"Shocked, you can ask me how surprised I was when I found out about you and Shabbir" Angad retorted "Why didn't you tell anyone?"
"This is exactly why I didn't tell you guys" she complained "you guys treat me like a baby. I know what I'm doing"
Angad and Anjali turned to glance at each other sighing. She was acting like one right now. "No one's going to treat you like a baby, okay" Anjali assured "now tell me how long has this been going on for?"
Aliya pouted "Di we're not here to discuss my love life"
"How long Aliya?" she stressed
"Almost eight months" she puffed crossing her arms
"Eight months and you didn't tell me anything. Why didn't you tell me Aloo? I told you about Kavya" Anjali complained
"Yeah well you didn't tell me about him straight away either" she reasoned
"Well I'm your big sister, you should"
"Ohhh---" Angad groaned falling back on his bed. His scowling sisters turned to look at him in concern.
"Bhai" Aliya called
Huffing he sat back up "Both of you are arguing pointlessly" he said looking at the two
"I have a very good—"
"Oh come on Anju" he exclaimed "don't start again. She's in love with Shabbir, fine. He's a good guy so we should be happy for her" he explained softly "it just would have been nicer if she had told us, instead of us finding out" he said turning towards Aliya
Aliya sighed "Okay, okay I'm sorry" she mumbled looking down "I should have told you"
He chuckled in response watching his sister look so sober "come here" he said giving her a side hug "I'm happy for you okay. I trust both of you and I trust he will keep you happy. That's all I want" he mumbled pressing a kiss to her head.
Anjali smiled then laughed joining her siblings in a group hug
After a few emotional words and teasing, Aliya turned towards Angad in question "Forget about me now Bhai, how are you feeling? Are you okay?"
His smile dimmed to soft lift of his lips "I'm okay" he mumbled
"You sure?" Anjali asked rubbing his arm in comfort "are you over her?"
"Oh no, no, definitely not" he exclaimed surprising his sisters "I'll never get over her"
The two glanced at each other in worry. He was definitely not okay. He was far from that "Have you spoken to her?" Anjali questioned curiously
"Yeah, sort of" he shrugged. He moved back leaning on his elbows "I'm not giving up on her because she's getting married. She's may deny it but I know her heart belongs to me. She's mine. She will be mine" he finished smiling softly
Aliya grinned hugging her brother around his neck "that's the spirit Bhai"
Anjali smiled slightly glad he hadn't completely lost hope. His words said it all. But somewhere deep inside, she was worried. Although she had encouraged Kavya and Sagar she didn't want her brother to walk in too deep. She didn't want her brothers already broken heart, shattered "I'm glad you haven't given up Angad but be careful" she warned "the situation is very delicate. One wrong move can do both of you more harm than good"
"I know Anju but I can't step back without trying. I know she loves me. Her eyes, her body language, everything tells me she loves me. I have to fight no matter how much she denies"
Anjali sighed nodding "as long as you know what you're doing, do what you want. Just be careful, Okay"
"Hmmm" he gazed at the ceiling for moments of silence "How is she Anju? Does she miss me?" he asked quietly, expectantly.
Anjali nodded stroking his hair "she misses you, just doesn't say so. I haven't known her for long Angad but even I can see the drastic change in her from the past few weeks. We're all worried about her. She's just not the same anymore"
Angad sighed closing his eyes then sat up forcing a smile on his lips "It won't stay that way for long Anju" Angad declared "she just needs a lot of romancing and kisses from me" he ended mischievously.
"Hawww Bhai, have some shame" Aliya shushed while Angad laughed.
Kripa unlocked the front door walking into the living room from yet another tiring and challenging day with Angad. He just wasn't ready to give up, and at times she couldn't help herself but enjoy his touch, his sensual caresses and alluring words. He was driving her crazy.
Leaving her bag on the sofa she walked into the kitchen to quench her thirst from her suddenly dry throat.
"Don't worry about it Anand, not at all. Nikhil is always welcome here" she heard her dad say into the phone "It will be good if Nikhil and Kripa get to know each other anyways. I want them married as soon as possible"
Tears sprung into her eyes upon hearing his words. He always seemed to hurt her with his words, be intentional or unintentional. He wasn't the same person she had grown to know, idealize. It was almost as if he didn't love her anymore at all.
Satya turned at the sound of Kripa's heaving, in attempts to supress her tears "Uhhh, yes Anand I'll get the arrangements done as soon as possible" he mumbled watching his daughter helplessly wipe her eyes. His heart melted at the sight. He didn't like seeing his princess cry. She deserved better and he knew he was doing better for her.
His face hardened when their eyes met. He watched her forehead crease into a frown while she turned on her feet to exit the kitchen.
Sagar stood watching kripa and his father's gaze clash. He had walked in behind Kripa, wanting to talk to her but stopped in his track when he heard who exactly his father was speaking to. His eyes narrowed when kripa brushed past him wiping her tear filled eyes. He turned and watched her rush up the stairs then turned back and found his father hanging up the phone "Has your ego grown so big that you have to make her cry every time to relieve it?" he exclaimed walking into the kitchen
Satya's jaw tightened in response "Sagar" he shouted "mind your language"
"No dad, enough is enough. Can't you see what you've done to her? Is this what you wanted because you're doing an awfully good job here!" he remarked sarcastically
"I'm the father here, Okay! I know who she will marry, not her" he retorted "How dare you question me? Is this what that Angad has taught all of you, to answer back your elders?"
"No Dad, it's you. You've forgotten your priorities and your children's happiness should be the first, not some strangers" he answered walking out of the kitchen
Satya stood fuming in his spot. This was all that Angad's fault. He had turned his children against him. He was using Sagar to get his way but that wasn't going to happen. Kripa would marry Nikhil no matter what Angad tried.
Thank you for all the lovely comments. Angads not as mischevious but he's standing with his point to get kripa back. This experience has matured him more. Now Kripa will be seeing a whole new side of his. Sagar and Kavya are on a mission, lets see how successful they will be. Will Angad get Kripa to say yes soon or will he have to fall to extreme measures. To find out stay tuned😉. Looking forward to your comments
Faiza
