RK dragged Madhu inside the house while she tried to loosen her grip. Her ankle was hurting her now with all this. He pushes her harder making her land on the sofa. She looks at him with anger and little bit of fear as he smirked. He caresses her face as she tried to move her face from his touch. She tried to slap his hand away but only to be held by him tightly. He places both of her hands behind her back while pulling her up a little just enough to have her face him.
"You don't like my touch?"
"No. In fact, I abhore your touches. I hate you, this house and this presence."
"Yawn sing a new tune biwi. I am tired to hearing the same story play from you. Maybe I should get my script writer to write a new dialogue for you. What say?"
"Go to hell" (She gets up to leave but RK held her wrist pulling her back down again in anger.)
"I am not done talking with you."
"But I am." (She tries to loosen his hold from her. He lets go of her backing up a little with a smile)
"I forgot you don't like my touch but you like what's his name that Mukund or whatever touch. Is that right?"
"Yes! I like his touch. Hell, if devil himself comes to touch me, I would even like his touch. Anyone's except yours!"
"Well, you got your personal devil in front of you looking at you and in no time you will like his touch and as for that Mukund. If memory serves right, you were very happy to see me when he tried to force himself on you. Am I right?"
"Where did he touch you again? Here?" (he slides his hands on top of her arm, Madhu tries to move away from his touch) "No? Or maybe here?" (He touches her neck moving up towards her lips smudging her lipstick. Madhu holds his hand to move away but it only made him do the same thing harder until she was flinching in pain) "No? Not even on your lips. Ohh that's right maybe he touched you here" (he moves his hand stopping right on top of her chest. Madhu tried to move but RK leans closer to her making her stop in her movement. His fingers touch her chest making her eyes close in disgust. She manages to push him away. RK looks at her and laughs out loud looking at Madhu's state.
Madhu looks away she couldn't deny the fact that he was right but he only did that because of RK himself. He is the one that created such situations for me and my family that no sane person would have reacted differently than Mukund did. I hate him for what he tried to do but I hate RK more since I lost everything only and only because of him.
A month! It took a month after that night he came over to her house to turn her perfect little world upside down. No matter where she went, what time she went and whom she went with he was always there. People had started asking questions regarding their relationship including Mukund. Yeah, he was her finance and had the right to know but at the same time he should trust her well enough to know that she would never be involved with another person knowing she is committed. Yeah, she doesn't have any feelings for Mukund yet but that doesn't mean that she will go cheat on him.
Madhu was walking toward her house when a car stopped in front of her. She knew to whom that car belonged to. The devil himself, RK. He steps out of the car with a smirk which she hated so much. She looked around for any press since she did not want this incident to be in the headlines again. Already many people taunt her and stuff knowing she is engaged to someone but flirts around with someone else. God she hated this public and the people living in this so called society rules.
"Hello Madhu. Fancy running into you here" (He blocks Madhu as she tried to go around his car.) "I wanted to know what's your answer to my question I asked you last night?"
Ohh yeah the question. Dinner. He wants to have dinner with me. Why? I don't know. He wouldn't tell but I know from his voice and his looks, he is up to something. What have I done to him that he doesn't leave me alone? I see no friendliness in his eyes, they are cold in fact I see anger and hatred in his eyes whether they are for me or for someone else I don't know. Why doesn't he get it? I don't like him. Not everyone has to be his so called fan. Why is he even after a simple middle class girl like her? What is so special in her that is making him do this? What kind of game he is playing?
"NO! I told you before and I will tell you again..my answer is no."
"Ohh come on Madhu, its just dinner. What harm can it be?"
"Listen, RK why can't you leave me alone? Why are you behind me? I am engaged why are you trying to ruin my relationship with everyone?"
"I am shocked that you are blaming me for something that I can't help with. Its not my fault that the press follows me around. Don't worry this time I made sure no one was following me"
"I don't care. Leave me alone!"
She looks at him one last time before tyring to walk away when he holds her hand. Madhu looks at him with anger slapping him on the face without thinking. Everyone stops hearing the noise looking at RK, pointing and laughing. Just than Mukund came looking at both of them with anger. Madhu looks at him and than at RK before walking away.
"Madhu what was that? What is going on between you both?" (Madhu stops looking at him with anger)
"You know what Mukund, think whatever you want. If you want to break this engagement than so be it. I don't care. I can't spend my life with someone who doesn't trust their life partner."
"You think its that easy to break this relation? What about your mom huh? Will she accept this decision of yours? What about my parents huh? All the preparations we have done so far? What about that? Do you think of anyone else besides yourself?"
"Yeah, am that selfish. You are not in my shoes to know what I am going through and what I am feeling. You think I like seeing my pictures in the newspaper? You think I like the fact that people are comparing both of our jodies? No. You don't think before you talk or look from my perspective, until you do...you do not have any right to judge me. If you want to break this off than am okay with it. I will talk to mom, she will support me. Bye"
Madhu walks towards her house in tears. No one knows what is happening to her. Even her sister Trishna was questioning her about their relationship. Why can't anyone understand her? Her only sollace is her mom.
I walked inside the house running towards my mom's room. She was sleeping peacefully. Its not right for me to disturb her when she is already so disturbed in her thoughts and past memories. Looks like I have to handle this on my own. I have to think of something that will make RK get out of my life forever or else I won't be able to live in peace with him around. I looked at the time, almost dinner time which means her sister would be home any minute from work screaming for food.
To keep herself busy she prepared dinner for everyone. By the time she was done Trishna was home. Madhu smilied looking at her sister and waited for her hug but Trishna just looked at her and walked away slowly leaving shattered Madhu behind. The dinner was a quiet affair, no one talked or looked at one another. Just as Trishna was about to get up, Madhu holds her hand.
"Didu please talk to me. What have I done?"
"Madhu please I am tired. We will talk about this later"
"No. I want to talk right now. I haven't done anything wrong Didu."
"Wrong? Madhu everyone in college and at work is questioning me about you. Asking me what is the relationship between you both. I just look at them embarrassed not knowing what to say."
"You can say that there is nothing between them. Trust me Didu. No matter where I go RK is always there and am sure he brings press with him so that they can share our pictures"
"What will he gain by this?" (Madhu looks at her hurt)
"You will trust him over me?"
"I don't know what to trust anymore. All I know is that I haven't told mom anything about this yet. I kept the truth hidden before the turth comes out, you better stop all of this."
"Didu I need your support. I can't be alone in this"
"am sorry Madhu but this is your fight and you have to figure this out."
Madhu looks at her sister walking away. She was all alone now. No one trusts her and she can't even go to her mom and tell her the truth. She lost her sister and now maybe she will loose her relationship with Mukund as well. Where will she begin to tell her mom the problems that is happening around her? We have kept her in shield after Malik, we tried to not tell her about our problems and solve it on our own. Looks like I have to do the same here as well and that too all alone.

"Hello Madhu. Am sorry will you please meet me at this location in half hour? Please. I want to make it up to you. Please."
"But, why?"
"I will tell you when you get here. Hurry"
"Hello...Mukund..."
Great, now I have to go out of the house just to meet him. Why can't he say it over the phone? Whatever he has to say. I have decided to end this so called relationship. I don't think I will be ever to live with him if he doesn't trust me. Without trust there is nothing. I quickly got ready and just informed Trishna am meeting Mukund. She didn't ask me anymore questions and just noded. When I come home, I will explain her everything. I just hope she would understand and help me explain to mom.
What place did he call me at? Is this even the right one? It was a old warehouse and from the looks of it no human had ever stepped in it. It was creepy. Madhu held her bag tighly towards her chest not knowing what to do. She saw a figure coming out form the entrance, she sighs in relief when she saw Mukund there. He was holding flowers with a huge smile.
"Mukund what place is this? Where are we?"
"I wanted to speak to you alone that is why I called you here. Dont' be scared, lets go inside and talk."
"Mukund, you know what. We will talk tomorrow. I have to go home. Thanks for the flowers." (Mukund held her hand stopping her every movement)
"What I have to say to you cannot wait till tomorrow. Now, be a good girl and come inside."
"Mukund please. I really have to go"
"Shhh" (He touches her face. She looks at him with fear) "Not another word. Lets go" (He drags her inside while Madhu tried to free her hand. As soon as she was inside, she saw the whole place decorated with flowers, lights and in the middle of the room there was a bed. Fear girpped her heart as Mukund locks the door looking at her with anger)
"Mukund what is this? You are scaring me"
"I know you want to end this relationship and truth be told I was never happy with this relation either. I just wanted to be with you, your beauty was something Madhu. All I knew was that I wanted you the minute I saw your picture. I took our relationship slow, I tried to be the guy you wanted, you know simple, untalkative, understanding, whatever you girls look for in a guy. It was all going great until that RK started hanging out with you. Was I not good enough for you?"
"Mukund, you got it all wrong."
"No sweetheart, I got it all right. You can leave me if you want, I don't care but before you leave why don't you pay interest for everything I have done and than you can break this relationship"
"What interest? I don't know you nothing. I am glad I decided to end this relationship with a creep like you"
"You ungrateful girl, you should be thankful that my parents and I accepted this relationship knowing you are a bas***d child." (Madhu closes her eyes in pain and humiliation, just what she needed at the end of the day)
"Yes, I am a bas***d child but at least I know how to respect relationships and have complete faith in myself and others. I know well enough what to do and stand up for myself unlike you who would do whatever yoru parents say you do. You have no voice of your won. Right now, you are nothing but a coward who would call a girl in a seculded area so no one will know how much a bas***d you are."
"Maybe I am a coward but I know how to get what I want. Now, you have only one option in front of you. Either do what I say or I will make sure my men kidnap Trishna and make her beg for her life."
"You..you wouldn't dare"
"You want to try me? Also, I want you to frame RK am sure he will give you some money to keep quiet which will be my interest from you."
"you are disgusting. I will never do this"
"Really? Not even at the expense of your own sister? You will save a stranger than your own blood? Or is it half blood? Whatever the case is, you will frame RK. Think of the publicity you will get."
"Screw you. I will not do any of this"
He pushes her on the bed coming towards her by taking out of his shirt. He leans over her as he rips her sleeve. Madhu looks at him with tears trying to create distance.
"You will do what I say...Or else." (He picks up his phone where Madhu heard screaming of her sister.)
"Please leave her alone..."
"I will but for now be a good girl. I need to take some photos of you which I will use to frame RK. Smile"
Madhu looks away when he clicks her photos in tears. She moves back when he comes closer to her taking off her dupatta. She felt so humiliated and disgusted but there was nothing she could do. Life was playing a big joke on her, she felt like a clown and let people do whatever they wanted with her. Mukund comes on top of her touching her neck moving toward her chest. She jerks him away slapping him on the face.
"Don't touch me again."
"Bad move darling"
He takes out a rope tying her hands as she struggled to escape. He slaps her so hard until her lip was bleeding.
"Leave me...please..don't do this. If you want, I won't break this engagement but please leave me"
"Now, you have to pay for the slap."
He throws her so hard on the bed that she bruised her back. Her head hit the dashboard and everything seemed blurry to her. Nothing was coming out of her mouth, she couldn't yell for help, no one would even hear her anymore. She felt his hands touching her ankles moving her salwaar up but she couldn't do anything about it but just lie here helplessly.
"leave her alone..."
She heard a familiar voice of her devil. Today, she was happy that he came, she was happy to hear his voice for the first time. She heard Mukund crying in pain from what she could see through her blurry vision was Mukund sitting at the end of the bed holding his face. She saw another faint figure standing at the end of the bed, she knew it was him. Even from her blurry vision and state she could smell and sense him. What is it with him?
Madhu tried to move when she felt a warm hand caressing her cheek, slightly touching her burised lip making her wince in pain. Next thing she knew, her hands were untied and she was floating in someone's arms. She tried blinking her eyes to get a better view of her devil. Her body gave up as she rested her head on his shoulder going into a deep sleep.
