Anuj strikes right balance

This man of many parts knows how to keep his finger on several prolific pies. A reputed doctor, a well-known television actor, a successful industrialist, this famous face under the media flash guns wields his magic wand with masterly precision. Popular as Anuj Saxena, this ambidextrous persona needs no more introduction. The latest outing to add another feather in his cap has been the Cannes call for the prestigious MIPCOM Palais des Festivals. Having been flown for this recent French trip, Anuj received the rare honour of being the only Indian juror to pick the deserving winner from the Best Actors category.

His year-old renowned production house Maverick has been flourishing since its inception in 2005. Also ventured into production of South Indian Films in Tamil and Telugu languages, Maverick plans to fund full length feature films soon. From a keen entertainer to an established entrepreneur, the journey has been endowed with a rich learning experience.
On the anvil is also a reality show on cricket, to be telecast sometime in December.

"The show would feature the likes of ex-ace Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin besides others. The shoots are likely to start by November," he informs. Currently toying with three Bollywood scripts, Anuj has recently researched an offbeat film for a social cause. "It's an issue-oriented project based on the life-threatening ailment — AIDS. Titled Ek Aur Prananjali, the 15-minute short length flick has been sponsored by the Lion's Club," he says. Wearing a multifaceted hat, huh?
