The Domino Effect: Epi Feb 28

We are all familiar with the term, 'the domino effect.' Basically, a cumulative effect produced when one event initiates a succession of similar events.

A murder that happened 17 years ago has had such an effect, that it's ripples are being felt even today. We are yet to find the motive for the murder. We don't know who was killed. This woman who has been dead for so long, would have never thought in her wildest dreams how her death could affect so many lives for years to come.

The domino effect has engulfed the two estranged Khan families, the Siddiquis and now Zoya, who is no longer an outsider. A fire was created to bury the cold blooded murder, but the flames of this fire has burnt many a relationship, and is continuing to singe many more to this date.

I feel two people, most responsible for this domino effect are Razia and Rashid. Of course, Razia/Siddiqui initiated this process- the rotten apple- but the rot has gradually spread through the whole bag of fruits. Even dividing the bag (separation of the two families) has not helped, such is the filth behind this evil mind. The second person responsible for this mess, Rashid-if he had just spoken up years ago-or even now. Perhaps a lot of these struggles, fights, misunderstandings we are witnessing now, could have been halted.

Relationships are at being tested. Khan brothers, mother-child, soul-mates- every relationship is being put through this fire.

I am sure this domino effect is not going to end anytime soon. I envision big changes in all these relationships in the near future- so we all need to brace ourselves and be ready for a rocky ride ahead.

I have faith in the writers and creatives. Every fire eventually comes to an end, and I am sure the flames of the doll factory fire will eventually die down too, but after a number of relationships have gone through a trial by fire (agnipariksha)

I was not crazy about today's episode but in the big picture, this episode makes way for the big changes ahead.

Zoya- has established that she will always be loyal to Dilshaad. She will initiate a new bond with Ayaan soon and that's going to create some ripples in coming weeks.

Asad- will have to fight this battle alone. If he is really being drugged by Zoya, I am disappointed. Zoya is interfering in a legal process. She could land in jail for obstruction of justice.

Dilshaad: is quite determined to save her love, who despite all his faults, she believes is innocent. She is a woman of conviction and will do anything if she believes in something, even if that means alienating her main support in life- Asad.

Ayaan- he talks more than acts. Would love to see action for a change

Humeira: like mother like daughter. Zoya will probably become a target just like her mother probably was (for Razia)

Didn't care for the elderly abuse scene- I ff'd it.

No comments on Razia and Siddiqui.

Well said!

Loved your post Sangeeta. Captures the essence of this whole track very well. The badi bi torture scene was painful.

What stood out for me today was the test of relationships and the changing equations between key players like your post rightly pointed out.

1. Asad Dilshad: opposite sides

2. Asad Ayaan: opposite sides

3. Shireen Ayaan: same side

4. Ayaan Humeira: opposite sides

5. Zoya caught in between Asad and Dilshad: today choosing sides

6. Badi bi being bullied out of the game I think

Dont know why but it reminded me of a game of chess: Razia: the queen on one side. Siddiqui and Humeira with her. And Rashid with badi bi, Shireen, Ayaan, Dilshad and by default Zoya, on the other.

But where does that leave Asad? Unless, all of the others are just pawns? Which means Asad could be the king of the other side... and will be the only one able to stand up to Razia. Just shooting in the dark here.

What's this about Zoya drugging Asad!

Todays epi was a mixture of emotion. Zoya- she favoured Dilshad and at the same time felt guilty about it. When Asad sincerely helped her, the guilt was deepened. The chain of relations have become more complex. A brother is going against his step-brother, a mother is against her son. The main culprits are Razia and the backbone Rashid. Asad is the only person sensible to me at the moment. He is against the world. He is just doing what ACCORDING TO HIM IS RIGHT. He felt hurt that his mother lied him for a person who left her 17 years back. For Asad, Zoya is not a part of family but for Zoya this house is world. The relationships has taken a new stage where no one understands each other. Ayaan and Dilshad have promised that they would stop Asad. I cant wait to see what will they do. The story is becming more and more unpredictable^^

Loved your postt!

Fantastic post 😊 True 2 people who committed a crime (Rashid-Raziya)17 years ago have caused a domino effect that destroyed and is still continuing to destroy anyone who was closely associated with that factory. And about zoya drugging Asad I don't think it is going to go that way I will wait and watch for tomorrow's epi. And about the raziya-dadi scene even I FF' ed it.

Lovely post Sangeeta

I agree that Zoya is not doing the right thing by preventing asad from going to the hearing. It is not like they can drug him or stop him forever.
But I think Asad too is rushing things. He is way too eager to see Rashid punished. Why is he not giving him a benefit of the doubt?
Like Ayaan said, I think Asad just wants Rashid to be punished for what he did to them 17 yrs ago..
Because the evidence they found was way too circumstantial and way easy. Asad himself wondered why they were let in to the factory so easily.
He never wondered why would Rashid bring Dilshaad along when he was about to dig out the remains of some dead body?
I am sorry to say, inspite of being a successful businessman I think Asad does not use common sense while under pressure. (actually ever)

I am not a fan of Rashid but he did not commit that murder and does not deserve to be punished.

@Dadi being tortured.. the writers should really tone down the violence in this show. It wss too graphic and frankly very unnecessary. We know Razia is evil, there is no need to remind us over and over again.

@Red...Just because she stood up for her mother?...they are accusing her mother of many crimes..any kid would jump to his parent's defense in such a situation...Plus if Ayaan and the other gang can believe in Rashid and cannt believe that he is capable of murder why would Humeira not?...I found it completely normal...ofcourse we viewers know Razia's reality but she is her daughter...it is not easy to hear such things against your mother...I dont thing Humeira is like her mother at all..just my view

Am not sure what to feel about tonight's epi..Way too much violence..I really wish they tone down a little on that front..Regarding Humeira, i wouldn't really compare her with Razia..If she were selfish and insensitive like her ammi, she would have gone ahead with the engagement, given that she loves Ayaan..Moreover, despite Ayaan's immaturity and total ignorance of her feelings, she has always loved him and wished for his happiness..Today, i felt she just lost her cool seeing Ayaans's behaviour with her ammi..I think its natural for her to feel protective about her mom given that she hasn't seen Razia's real face and there is no concrete evidence against her so far..But yeah, the slap wasn't required..But given that this show specialises in slaps, i think the director found it hard to resist😆 As far as Asad and Zoya are concerned, i felt Asad was a lot more patient today..He was quite calm while questioning her and even when he lost his cool, he wasn't as harsh as he usually is..That said, i don really endorse Dilshad's approach..I get that she loves Rashid but am afraid her love is turning her blind to everyone and everything else..Instead of convincing Rashid to open his mouth, she is hell bent on preventing Asad from giving evidence😕 Regarding the precap, i really hope Zoya isn't planing to drug Asad or something..The consequences could be disastrous..Waise, as per the law, if the witness to unable to attend the hearing due to inevitable reasons, the case can be adjourned..So Asad can very go and testify on a later date..So i don really get what Zoya, Ayaan and Dilshad are trying to do..Its a different think that the trio can land in jail for this😆

Since now I your name, very nice post Sangeeta
Yep its the effect of that crime, the older the crime the larger and broader the effect. If came clear then, it would have not grown the roots and spread all over through generation..
Zoya's loyalty I dont question after today as she never lied to him, Thank God for that..
Asad doesnt have to fight alone if he listen to her once, she told him to get more evidences in these in between days rather than jumping to conclusion. Me too hope she didnt drug him, but didnt Dilshaad also said she wont let him go, maybe she did something(fingers crossed)
Dilshaad, I know where she is coming from. You try to take of things that are critical first. Rashid is in jail vs Asad with her. Sometimes you have to make tough choice and for her this is THAT time..
Ayaan, yeah dude now time for action, show you are grownup at last..
Humaira, will be doing same to Zoya as her mom did to Zoya's mom?? Hope not, Zoya is too strong to be bullied by someone like her..
I was happy with today's epiosde as there was no MU, and he didnt just get all mad at her for not telling for a change. Now that was some change..
Him mishandling Zoya and Ayaan parallel scene with Humaira, now what was it meant for???
She is planning to stop Asad teaming with Ayaan, so pretty sure she didnt drug him else why she need that looser.
BTW, Ayaan was efficient to give the info on pic so soon? Why Asad said he has some info already?
