If I'm not mistaken the show is based on a novel- I haven't read it to be honest- so this is why I'm asking for some clarification, and perhaps this will branch out to a larger discussion.
Q: What is the big deal if Saras is Spiritual/religious? Why is his father so against it? How is this "straying" or being on the "wrong path"
Most parents would consider alcoholism/addiction, promiscuity, failure in academics or finances as being a failure or perhaps the wrong path- why is Saras's faith/spirituality so threatening to his father? My parents would be doing jumping jacks if I did half the stuff this guy does!đ
