C'est la vie.

In literature, fiction sells more than non-fiction. Fantasy fiction sells more than all other fiction combined. Says a lot about human nature, not just Indian audiences. We are more escapists than anything else. We would always prefer mindless thrills to a down to earth story. Why would we care for struggles, down to earth stories and reality checks - isn't that what we experience 24/7 every day. Got to check out and escape in wonderland sometime.

Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams - Peter S Beagle

I feel KPC was released a lot sooner, they should've chosen March as the release month & utilized more time for promotions since the cast is relatively new for the audience... SOTY was extensively promoted & had KJo's backing so did well... Vicky Donor was a huge hit despite of new actors owing to Good Script so I still have hope left for KPC (:

I'm sure it will pick up business with WOM. I'm excited to watch it

ABCD had a good crowd here in Colombo despite no big Bollywood stars in it so I'm hopeful KPC will do good in the long run

we cant expect every good film to do gr8 business...

something like dabangg is made for a wider market whereas something like kai po che might have a select audience it is targetting...ofcourse there will be a huge difference in terms of the collections...

i dunt think collections are the way to judge success or failure of a film or the "tastes" of the audience for tht matter...as long as it does well with the market its targeting, a film is successful regardless of its genre or whether it made the 100 or 200 crore club...
